I am 3 years in with my Locs on my channel and I'm noticing, like you said, that I used to retie every 6 weeks but my roots seem to grow out faster so that I really need to start doing my reties at 4 or 5 weeks. Great video! Love the update. Tell mom, we're still waiting to see hers! I am really interested in seeing hers because her curl pattern seems very similar to mine.
Your hair is gorgeous & so thick! Have you ever combined any of your locs? They look four times thicker than when you initially installed them, which is very encouraging for me as I’m thinking about locking my hair that’s not as thick.
Now that I have help with the maintenance, I don't regret my loc size as much. I still wonder what traditional locs would look like on me, but not enough to act on the curiosity.
I have that mint, rosemary oil. I mix it with Camille Rose sea moss and aloe vera braid spray along with a rose oil mix. I spray it on my itchy, dry scalp and it feels so good. 🤤
Your locs are beautiful...do you ever just spray water or just the rose water and moisturizer daily? My haor frizzes really bad and i wonder if its the rose water/water mix i use. Im 9 months loc'd
Your locs are still very new! Water will make them look frizzy, especially in the beginning because your locs are still forming. It took a little over a year for my locs to really start locing up & I could use water to moisturize my hair without it looking super puffy
Your hair is so beautiful 🥰 im glad your embracing the "frizz" its most likely because you have thick hair and its growing 🤎
Thank you so much!!

Yes I have combined a few! And thank you, I'm glad I could help!
Do you know what rotation your location uses ?
I believe we use the 4 point rotation
So you still don't use conditioner?
Hey sis! What can you recommend for hair products to apply at the scalp to help neaten while retightening the hair?
Question I have: Do you have any regrets about the size of your locs/not restarting your loc journey?
