I was at a McNeese vs. Northwestern State home game the night this game was played. I still remember the announcer coming on and saying "Here's a final from Baton Rouge. Are you sitting down? LSU 28 Florida 21". The whole stadium went crazy since both teams were from Louisiana.
Was there with my youngest son that night. Remember LSU fans walking the goalpost up the south stadium seats. What a sight. 1st time ever LSU beat #1 team in Tiger Stadium.
