  • A compilation of some of Fred Taylor's highlights at the University of Florida. Florida may've been operating out of Steve Spurrier's famed "Fun 'n Gun" offense during Taylor's time there, but the stud tailback still shined for four years in Gainesville. Despite being a large back at 228 pounds, Fred Taylor possessed otherworldly agility and could make quick cuts in the open field to make defenders miss.
The games I used to take the clips from can be other channels I used as well that you can find if you look around): / sbbarnet. .

Fred Taylor was actually a better pro RB than a college RB

Swap places with Emmitt, I think Fred was the better back, Emmitt was just more featured at his time at UF, whereas Taylor's role was somewhat diminished in the "Fun and Gun".

Fred Taylor always reminded me of my childhood hero Walter Payton. He had a tough running Style, excellent hands, and great blocking ability. He was very aggressive Just Like Walter and he finished the Run by attacking the defense like Walter. Fred Taylor was everything you ever wanted in a running back and he isn't really talked about as one of the all-time greats but real football fans know that he is!

I believe that I have made enough videos of Gator tailbacks for a while. Anyways, what player would you like to see next? It doesn't have to be just a running back. So if you want to see a stellar defensive player or wide receiver spotlighted, then I'll see what I can do.

To Scott Brooks: Hearst has been on the list of guys who need a video for a LONG time. I think that you requested him a while ago too, and that's why he's on the list. Right now, I"m just posting videos I made over the summer break. Once this semester is over, I'll start making new videos again.

Taylor was a better pro than college guy and had he been fully healthy… my god. Shame he never made a pro-bowl. If you ask many all-time greats on both sides of the ball, they all mention him as one of the best.

Go look up the AFC running backs that made the Pro Bowl in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003. Fred should have made the Pro Bowl at minimum 3 times but possibly 4 times.
One time they gave Eddie George a Pro Bowl over Taylor and Taylor had more yards that year

@@lucyloo2228 I feel like they held it against him because Jags weren’t good some years. Sadly the jags didn’t get to play the Rams in SB… he’d of been a star.
