The thing I really wanted to see was the Voyager crew's homecoming. I wanted to see them meet with their families again. See the pomp and ceremony Starfleet would have pitched for the feel good story they needed after the Dominion War.
I REALLY wanted to see that also. The fireworks were ok, but I wanted to see something a little more personal.
I wanted to see it, and honestly I assumed there would be at least a little bit
That could have been a new series. It annoyed me they gave them such a lame ending.
@@stevenswapp4768 especially the Captain, Paris, Tuvok, and a positive closure for the Maquis crew.
In case you're ever interested, don't read the Voyager book homecoming. Really rough.
Personally, I'd like to see something regarding the Great Klingon Tribble War that Worf mentions in "Trials and Tribble-ations."
"They still sing songs about the great hunt?" 🤭
Glory to the warriors in the Great Tribble Hunt!
Very curious about that. And painfully curious about the Breen.
This would be awesome for a Short Trek, maybe even a multi-parter..
Bring on the Tribble's!
I would like to see what happened with
Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra
His eyes were opened.
@@FirstDan2000 Then the skies fell...
I'd have welcomed this with arms wide.
I would be.....at rest......
@@HanbaolaoshiTemba is at rest, not you.
As a Vegas native, I would have loved to have a giant Constitution Class ship on Fremont St. Its a shame it never came to be.
I’d love to have seen the Earth - Romulan war
Great video, but the [1701-A] physically broken down? How dare you!?!?! The Enterprise A would clearly have been moved to the Smithsonian Shipyards, you philistine!
Didn't Picard mention something like this to Scotty in the episode where they found him?
@jdslyman Picard never specifies.
I think its like at least 50% chanse it was broken down
Seeing what happened after Voyager got home would be nice. Also, we never get to see the battle at Nerandra III. Also, what happened after the Enterprise 5 year mission.
Which Enterprise? ToS or Enterprise?
Didnt that one burn in atmosfere and crash or something?
Still has to be the Cardassian Border Wars for me. At least in novel form...
be cool to see janeway .. xo chief engineer sit down and start a debrief on everything they had done for 8 years ….
@@vic5015 - um... DUH... the TOS series was only 3 years.
There are two events I really want to see in future Star Trek shows, the Eugenics Wars and the Earth-Romulan War.
Those are two events that don’t need to be made into Star Trek shows. We already know how they end so what is the real point?
There is so much that can be written about in Star Trek, why waste time on things we already know how they end?
@@josebrown5961, that doesn’t make sense…the same could be said about everything on this list. We already know what happens. It’s not a waste of time, that’s the whole purpose of this to see it and enjoy the details.
Weren’t you alive in 1992? Man the Eugenics Wars were crazy. So much fake news trying to cover it up.
I’m all in on a Eugenics War based show 👍🏻
It's second star to the right and straight on till morning, not left.
A quote from Peter Pan no less.
That would have "triggered" current "liberal" "sensitivities".
@@markusfreund6961 nobody brought politics into this until you did. Seems more like you’re the “triggered” one.
And a perfect ending it was
@@Decipher13 No thanks for proving my point, libtard snowflake.
I'm hoping that if they show the Enterprise NCC-1701 being launched that they show Captain Archer (Fleet Admiral by this time) witness and be present upon the event. Supposedly, he was alive just long enough to see the ship being launched.
That would be fantastic closure to his journey. Also he was able to go back and forth through time, it is possible he might have seen it within that as well
That would be a nice counterpoint to McCoy's appearance on the Enterprise D.
I read about this also and would love a series about the first 5 years of that Enterprise.
I had hoped to see negotiations between the Gorn and the Federation after the Cestus 3 incident.
YESSSSssssssss...ssss...
Before just hurling the Enterprise 1600 LY away, I had hoped to see some dialog started between the ships, and something more on the Metrons.
I know it's discussed in the your other article but, the Earth Romulan War would've been awesome to see. Too bad Enterprise got canceled as it seemed they were building up to that conflict.
They absolutely should make Romulus War war movie! It is opportunity what straight bag to be made!

Sarah April was a design engineer on the original Enterprise? Thank you! I must have not registered that when I watched TAS. This drives home what an oversight it was that the Kelvin timeline writers neglected any room for Captain Robert April. (Also; wasn't the Enterprise built in space?)
Launched in 2245, the original and illustrious starship U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 was built in the San Francisco Yards orbiting Earth.
Back in WWII, they would launch ships when their basic structures were done, freeing the drydocks. Everything that could wait... all the "next Tuesday" stuff... was then added as it lay at anchor. I suspect Starfleet does the same.
I'd like to see an origin story for the Q Continuum.
Definitely this. Curious about their coming to be, choosing a form, plus time itself shifting around them and the stars. Plus if they are still involved with other matters across the universe, or possibly turned away.. something happened for them to go into exile or fade.
I always had the thought that the Enterprise-A wasn't broken down after decommissioning, but that it was put in the Starfleet museum that we hear about a few times. Sure, it didn't have the long, illustrious career the original Enterprise had, but it was still Kirk's last ship, and still an Enterprise
That is what i am thinking too!
Well it was originally the Yorktown until it was renamed and given to Kirk in Star Trek 4 if I remember correctly.
@@langleymneely Correct.
You need to read The Ashes if Eden by William Shatner, he has a much more worthy ending for the Enterprise A 😅
@@vic5015 wasn't it 5? 4 ended with them still using the Klingon ship. The A didn't debut until 5.
I had hopes Star Trek Enterprise would take a season or two and focus on showing the Romulan Wars. Shame.
You forgot Mot graduating barber college! :o
Data being fully functional functional with Yar.
Also, what did the Federation do with all Cytherians information other than not prevent the Burn. Was God in the movie a Cytherian?
i love the idea the anger was borg
Yesterday’s son would have been a great movie adaptation. Really a good book Ties in two original stories. But alas we got stupid JJ Abrams garbage.
"Secession," not "cessation."
At 8:23, Malcolm Reed can be seen sitting in the Starfleet pomp and ceremony.
Another item to note, is this Starfleet arena looks very much like the new Apple headquarters building.
I would like to have heard Archer's speech.
If Enterprise could somehow get additional series now then that would be great, it deserved more.
In the Enterprise novels there is a side story involving the USS Essex (yes THAT USS Essex) that mega Trek fan and terrifyingly good tragicomic actor Sanjeev Baskhar has expressed interest in being involved in (the Captain is an Anglo Indian with an incredibly silly posh accent named Bryce Shumar)
Absolutely! Enterprise deserved a 7 season run.
I'd kill for a Kahless prequel film.
There is a novel about his life.
OMG, #1 should have been the Voyager crew reunites with Starfleet, family and friends (from the novel Voyager: Homecoming)
I tend to think that the Borg assimilated the "Machine planet culture" we see in 'Star Trek : The Motion Picture' in fits and starts, till the Borg took that cultures home planet. Then becoming like what we see in 'Star Trek : The Next Generation'.
☺
nice job, you missed the eugenetics war, perhaps young khan in action, or the post khan survivers exiled in both universes
Two novels were written about a Khan from age 5 to Thea Botany Bay.
"second star to the left-"
Um, it's your other left :P
Reflections in the Galactic Barrier just confuse everybody.
I was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else noticed Kirk said “second star to the right” and the trek culture narrator said left 😧
The Herc, a race that did to the Klingons what the cardassians did to the bajorans.
They must have been interesting.
Hmm...Morn and his cronies and the infamous 'Lissepian Mothers Day Heist'? Kinda has an 'Oceans 11' vibe (just kidding), with only 5 crooks instead.😉
I wonder, if we're going to see the Xindi in Star Trek: Discovery
Anything about the species in Conspiracy TNG. Anything about the lifeform the Enterprise-D birthed. Oh we both could go on. Lol
The answer to both would be "Iconians".
Well, from a meta standpoint, they were meant to be the Borg, but the writers decided to move in the direction of a cybernetic threat instead and dropped that thread.
In the Expanded Novel-verse, they turn out to be a predatory/parasitical mirror of the Trill symbiont. Which is honestly a bit brilliant, imo.
There’s an interesting book called Kahless. It has a Klingon scribe found an ancient text purportedly written by Kahless himself after his disappearance. In it he chronicles the real events that became enshrined in myth. He was a loyal lieutenant of the tyrant Molor until he was forced to kill Molor’s son in a duel, forcing him to go on a run along with a number of loyal men, including Morath who became his best friend and who kept trying to teach Kahless to be an honorable man. Kahless met Lukara in a village and fell for her. But he was forced to leave her behind. Unfortunately, Molor’s troops would find the village and raze it, killing everyone, including Lukara. Eventually, Kahless raised an army and led it against Molor. In the palace, he found a once powerful man weak from disease. He felt pity and let his guard down. Molor threw a dagger at him. Morath jumped in front and took the blade in his chest. Kahless decapitated the tyrant and held his friend as he died. Eventually, he grew bored with ruling and left. Before leaving, he pointed at a random star in the sky and told them to look for him there. Here’s the twist: the blood on the dagger used to create the clone isn’t Kahless’s. It’s Morath’s!
I don't remember us seeing Hugh's return and reintegration into the Borg collective. We only saw Hugh being picked up by the Borg. The next time we see Hugh is after the Borg has abandoned the Cube that he was on and Lore took over in "TNG: Descent" and "TNG: Descent Part II". So what happened to Hugh between "TNG: I Borg" and "TNG: Descent"?
It wasn't shown. Not unless it's somehow in flashbacks in Picard.
I think they show Hugh being beamed up with the other Borg to return to the ship.... In the briefing if they run or fight or hang out and watch.... They talk about what would happen and Hugh tells them then makes the choice to go back as he repeats how his friend would rather die then join them...
I love Trek Culture, thanks for the continues work ...
I will always tune in to watch a TrekCulture Premiere whenever I can! You guys are great! 🖖🏻👨🏻🦲👍🏻
Agree ;)
Yes Yes!
I would have liked to here about the new discoverys, cultures, and builders on the dyson sphere from TNG.
I'd love to see an explanation as to how the Dyson sphere managed to go undetected in Federation space for so long.
How about an entire series called:
"Star Trek: Dyson Sphere"
Excellent content
Voyager's homecoming would be cool.
A stand alone Kahless and Lukara movie would work really well.
The Enterprise A was not decommissioned. Spock told them to "Go to Hell".
The Earth/Romulan War is my number one.
For a moment i thought you called T'pol's behind a big event.. but(t) i guess that was just my mindwarp..
I wouldn't call it a BIG event, but it's certainly a fine one!
I seem to recall that Robert April was an admiral when he took the Enterprise out and almost lost it to the klingons. Am I imagining that, or is that what was shown in the animated series?
Second star to the RIGHT, Sean
We never got to see a chief engineer admit in a trial at Starfleet Headquarters that the Oberth-class Starship was a total failure and the worst starship in history.
I also like to call it "the nonsense-class"
Second star to the right not left lol. Ok, that triggered my Trek nerve lol
Trek nerve? Classic literature nerve. The line is from Peter Pan.
Excellent video!
I wanted to see what happened in between the times that Captain Kirk "bedded" with an alien woman and then the scene cuts to him putting his Beatle boots on afterwards! I had an unofficial VHS adult film that showed this, but it's obviously not canon! LOL
You're more likely to find K/S fan films...
Whoa whoa, "kahless still hasn't truly returned"? I see we've got some Kahless Truthers in this channel.
I have often thought about the stories that could be explored
How did the Romulans come to be. Background on the Vulcans. What about Khaless’s story? Bajor? Cardasdia? Chakotay’s people? Some many stories. So much prosthetics.
While the Cardassians were more advanced, let's not forget that DS9: "Explorers" S3:EP22, it was revealed that Bajorans were the first to meet the Cardassians.
Things we all would love to know!
Seán Sorry to have just missed you...I really enjoy communicating with you...
Glad we got to see first contact in enterprise.
I've said this before and I'll say it again: To do something truly new for Star Trek, I'd love to see a West Wing-esque political drama set in the Star Trek universe with Scott Bakula as Federation President. Flashbacks can fill in the founding and away we go.
That does sound interesting. I've always been sorry we didn't get to see Enterprise's original planned first season set on Earth. I'm also curious about the period right after the Vulcans made themselves known. How would humans really have reacted? How did their technology change our society and what was that process list to live through?🤔
Just started the video. Hopefully you included something about what fully happened when Voyager finally arrived home. Court martials anyone? At least for some? Promotions? I'm looking at you Harry!
Courts martial.
Granted we've seen tidbits but I want to see World War III
Maybe, if you wish hard enough, you can fight in it.
Not long now.
With the exception of the founding of the UFP, I don't think there's a single one of these that I have felt I've missed seeing. Some obvious ones are also missing: the Earth-Romulan War, the Eugenics Wars, the unification of Earth all spring to mind.
Secession not cessation
It was great to hear your voice pop up in the new Jessie Gender video!
Yes Voyager homecoming wouldve been good. But the Romulan War with the Federation absolutely needs to be covered.
I thought it was agreed upon that that when Lt Cdr Decker willing offer himself to the unknown entity it gave the entity it's organic body which would become the Borg.
The Borg were very much alive and well, and in their current form spreading throughout the Delta Quadrant for around 7 or 8 centuries by that time.
I find it fascinating that this V'Ger theory won't die.
Read the Destiny trilogy.
Absolute GASP!!!!!!! It's "second star to the RIGHT, and straight on til morning"...... SEEAAAANNNNNNN!!!!!!
oh i didn’t notice this was a year old until i got to the part that said we’ve only seen Captain April in TAS.
Definitely think the Romulan War should have been #1. You mentioned the treaty ending subsequent hostilities, but not the war itself!
What about the Iconian, Organian and T'Kon empires? The Eugenics war with Khan, ww3, the Tholian war, the Dyson sphere creation, the Klingon Tribble extermination, Romulan Vulcan split, Tellarites joining the federation, anything on the Breen...
I also linked the Borg with VGER in the first film.
I link the Transformers to VGER. Transformers more closely mstch the description in the movie.
Slow the narration down a bit Sean. Interesting stuff but all starts to blur after a few minutes. Love the content and all you guys do, but a little slower?
"Second star to the left"
wot
Sean, brush up on your Peter Pan. 🤪
I believe the lineage of khaless and lukhara was interrupted, remember when jadzia was talking to martok's wife about the royal lineage, and said that the royal family was killed and others took the names and status of the dead to make it look unintrerrupted.
Am I the only one seeing that the auto-generated captions for this video are in Portuguese??
I thought the Vulcan/Romulan split was about 5000 years before the original series occurred. I seem to remember that being mentioned in either the Amok Time episode or the one where Sarek was recreated on the lava world
just curious: why refer to NCC-1701 as "original Enterprise?" the 'in-universe' timeline says NX-01 was the 1st Starfleet ship w/ the name.
We demand a star trek the next generation enterprise D hotel
Ah, rainbow colours and unmerited demands in bad English. Par for the course.
@@markusfreund6961 😂
I'd still like to know who the enemy was in Enterprises' Silent enemy.
Here’s one possibility about the Borg. The faction that reprogrammed V’Ger was the one shown in Picard season 2
Second star to the RIGHT, and straight on till morning.
Is this something new or old footage
Interesting thumbnail as that was a artist’s rendering of one of the areas for a new park in Orlando. Unfortunately that never came to fruition.
Sorry for another reply, but you should check out Prelude to Axinar if you haven't done so already. The 4 years Klingon War. They fill n some gap between Enterprise and TOS, but don't know how accurate, but worth watching.
What ABOUT the Earth-Romulan war?
What? There's also a Expanded Universe in Star Trek? My mind went 🤯
T’con Emprire would be nice to see. And Iconians as well
Doesn't this just show how great a Section 31 show can be?
I've got two for you: The Eugenics Wars and World War 3. Two periods in pre-Federation history that have only ever been teased but never shown.
The Eugenic Wars, would clarify a lot about Earth in XX century timeline
"fascinating"!!! 🖖
I don't count the STUPID cartoons as canon. They are CRAP!
The line is Second star to the RIGHT (not left) and straight on till morning.
What I wanted was a little more post-script of events between Cochrane's first warp flight and events of Archer/"Enterprise"...
Like, the first time a Earth ship went to a foreign inhabited planet & saw alien culture.
Or- SHOWING how the effects of 1st contact affected societal changes towards utopia on earth:
-ending of wars, religion, poverty/money, famine, endless energy....
I would pay any fee for a prequel show about plain, simple Garak in the obsidian order.
Just a simple tailor! :D :D
Garth of Izar and the events which caused his psychotic break. I know there is a failed fan fiction work on this but would have loved to see a ltd. run series based around Axanar and his subsequent issues.
Every time a show/series/universe decides to show us an origin story, it's hated more than the unknowing. Filling in the blanks enhances our imagination, and can spark conversation.
April has already appeared on SNW, except he got a race lift
When Commodore Decker sees the Planet Killer heading to the world upon which his crew had beamed down.
How about Axanar?
Second star to the right… not the left. And there are no more Short Treks thank all merciful creation!
I just want to know what happened to the First Federation...
the accident with the omega particle that made starfleet make the omega directive
These a pretty good novel about that: Section 31: Cloak. It also brings together plot threads from a few TOS episodes and Star Trek VI
