TRC in my opinion is one of the best when it comes to fit and finsh their knives are just about perfect especially since they are a production knife and not a custom I have TRC Classic Freedom that stays in my EDC bag and goes with me everywhere.

I'm from Europe and know TRC for some years already. Basically from the start when the knives came without boxes. Andrius is really a great guy also. Yes they are on the expensive side but they are really well made in expensive steels. All I EDC is a SAK but this might be a good travel knife because of the slim profile. For prolonged camp use that Reiff F4 looks very interesting but will cost me even more including p&p and European VAT. I might try to pick one up next time I visit the US. Thanks for introducing TRC to the US. You should try their Apocalyps. That's a beast of a knife.

Love your reviews - one of my resources on choosing knives. ❤ This looks like an excellent choice. I have Jokers and Casstrom for bushcrafting, and the Polheim looks like it would be good in that role, but better as an EDC. I also have a couple of MKC blades that I like. I currently EDC the Mini-Speed Goat for its weight - 1.7 oz. I will consider adding the Polheim to my purchase list - based on your review. 😊

G'day Aaron, yeah very nice mate and I am using small fixies more in rotation for EDC, but my "go to" folder for EDC is a Recon 1, drop point, in S35 and weighs, 147 grams, (5.2 oz). Mind you, weight/size, within reason, is not an issue for me, it's all about cutting performance, ergos and a solid build.
I havent had any blades fail to spring back, (or snap for that matter), if in fact they actually flex to start with. I do always try and use the right tool for the job though, and for the most part, thicker stock is a high priority across the board. Cheers Duke.

    Hi Aaron.
I really like this knife. I am not familiar with TRC Knives, but this one offers a lot in quality materials, shape and size. Looks like a really strong contender for an edc fixed blade. I would really like to to try to pocket carry it, but it does have several great options. I also would probably re-profile the blade as you did.

Two other exelent EDC knives from TRC around the same size as the Pohlheim: K-1S, steel is Elmax and Classic Freedom, steel is M390. My most used EDC is a South Pole with a secondary convex edge (I have reprofiling the edge), but the knife is a little bit bigger as the Pohlheim.

Good looking knife but quite overpriced compared to the competition at $100 less it might be a good option but as it stands just way to much for what your getting. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

My go-to pocket knife is around 2oz. My fav lil puukko weighs about 4-4.5oz. The combo is much more versatile imo. This is a good lookin knife though.
