TRC in my opinion is one of the best when it comes to fit and finsh their knives are just about perfect especially since they are a production knife and not a custom I have TRC Classic Freedom that stays in my EDC bag and goes with me everywhere.
TRC stuff has been near the top of my wishlist for a long time. It's only a matter of time before I cave.
The top line is beautiful.
I'm from Europe and know TRC for some years already. Basically from the start when the knives came without boxes. Andrius is really a great guy also. Yes they are on the expensive side but they are really well made in expensive steels. All I EDC is a SAK but this might be a good travel knife because of the slim profile. For prolonged camp use that Reiff F4 looks very interesting but will cost me even more including p&p and European VAT. I might try to pick one up next time I visit the US. Thanks for introducing TRC to the US. You should try their Apocalyps. That's a beast of a knife.
You get what you pay for.
I’m in So Cal, USA and I’ve heard of TRC. It’s my go to brand along with Medford, Les George & McNees.
Love the airlite very under rated knife.
Another great review. I was not aware of TRC previously. I am glad to see that such practical and high quality knives are out there.
Ooooo, I wants!
Love TRC knives , would love to add one to my collection
Thought I got a pop up notification that I won . Did i
Hi, I love trc, and your chanel to, great content, keep up the good work
First time i have heard about TRC but now it is on my radar . TY. I like your reviews and watch as much as I can . Keep up the good work.
Awesome!! Thanks for watching glad you enjoy
TRC Make Excellent Knives
TRC Apocolypse finish is awesome...quality knives👍
Brand new to the. Thank you for the introduction to the TRC Magnacut.
Nice knife, I like TRC so much!
Trc makes excellent knives!!
Nice try spammer
Their heating is spot on 😊
Man I love this I have the apocolypse and the k1s I want this one man thanks for the great content!
My go to fixed blade is a Hinderer Emmett @ 5.5oz...8.1oz W-kydex sheath and scout style straps. I rarely carry it like an EDC, but when I do, I carry it weak-side on my belt across-Draw style.
Great review! Another sweet knife from TRC! 👍 They put out some exceptional tools!
Great Video!
Hey Aaron love the reviews on your channel. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Great knife. 🔥🔝
Thanks for the review. I’m a big fan of TRC knives, can’t wait to get my hands on a South Pole.
Looks like a solid knife
Looks great, and this is how a sheath should always look
I totally agree with you!
Too many nice knives are wrecked by a junk sheath. I know there are custom sheaths, but they are often an afterthought and it can make all the difference. Thanks for the consistently good content -
That Trc looks well made . Like it
Every TRC knife I have is top shelf. Fit and finish is second to none. Durability is also excellent as is their sheaths. On a side note I can’t access the community page from my iPad so unfortunately I have to sit this giveaway out. 😢
This is the first I have heard of TRC Knives. Looks like a high quality blade!
They are sick ❤
I want one!
Thats a really handsome little fixed blade. Thanks for sharing
Great overview!!! Thanks for sharing. I’m super keen to grab one of these 💪
Thanks for watching!
Now thats what i call a review!! Well done, i enjoyed it! Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good looking knife
Hey Aaron, Ive been following your channel for a number of years now and have learnt so much especially about knives, steel, handles, sheath systems etc by just watching your videos. keep up the good work.
Awesome, thank you! That really means alot
@@gideonstactical Aaron you may want to check my comments on this video got a scammer trying to tell folks they won the giveaway which hasn't even closed yet 😂
@@Transamchamp somebody tried to tell me that I won already. Got my hopes up at first but then my scammer senses started tingling. They asked me to contact you via telegram.
@@Transamchamp someone sent me the same message. This kind of scam hurts the community.
Great video as always. My goto for any blade before buying. Thanks!!
the folder I carry in my pocket is 4.3oz, I have a few fixies I carry depending on what I am doing that day, all of them are heavier than this one.
Looks to be an excellent knife would definitely consider purchasing love the adventure of exploring the great outdoors with a dependable tool
Looks nice. Haven’t tried magnacut yet.
I like this little knife quite a lot but the company is new to me. I'll look forward to learning more about these new products in coming videos. Thanks for your evenhanded presentation.
I attempted to reply to the message you sent to me but was unable. Do I need an Instagram account?
Greetings from Finland, Aaron. I have been following your channel and your excellent reviews for 6-7 years and have bought many useful knives based on your reviews. For example, similar to this knife is my TOPS Overlander 2. Best regards - Mauri
Love your reviews - one of my resources on choosing knives. ❤ This looks like an excellent choice. I have Jokers and Casstrom for bushcrafting, and the Polheim looks like it would be good in that role, but better as an EDC. I also have a couple of MKC blades that I like. I currently EDC the Mini-Speed Goat for its weight - 1.7 oz. I will consider adding the Polheim to my purchase list - based on your review. 😊
I dig this one.
G'day Aaron, yeah very nice mate and I am using small fixies more in rotation for EDC, but my "go to" folder for EDC is a Recon 1, drop point, in S35 and weighs, 147 grams, (5.2 oz). Mind you, weight/size, within reason, is not an issue for me, it's all about cutting performance, ergos and a solid build.
I havent had any blades fail to spring back, (or snap for that matter), if in fact they actually flex to start with. I do always try and use the right tool for the job though, and for the most part, thicker stock is a high priority across the board. Cheers Duke.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks like a good edc knife. Going to look at what else TRC has.
That's what I love about my Magnacut Bark River Bushcraft Scout. It's about the same size as my large folder but gives me the strength of a full-tang fixed blade
Thanks again for a great review...my take, however, I would love to try this knife out but the price is a little hefty. I do love my Speedgoat, also in magnacut, which I carry daily or my Lionsteel H2 in M390. As for the Hardside Hydration system...Love, love it. I have two, one for my pack and one for my Jeep.
Looks like a well-done knife. Never seen this brand before.
Great review and good lookin lil blade. The EDC style fixed blades have really grown on me. A bit pricey but you're paying a bit more for the brand reputation. This one will treat you well I bet. Keep up the good work, sir!
Great video i sometimes edc fixed blades. Appreciate all your insights across the board. Keep it up
Thanks my friend!!
Hey, Aaron, love, the video as always. knife looks great. I've always wanted to try one from this Maker. Thanks for all you do brother!
Love to have this
3:18 my edc is the Cold Steel Airlite drop point. 3.2oz.
I'd love to check it out.
What a knife.. love your reviews
Thanks for the review
TRC prices are high, and always have been. Probably a really good knife though.
Love those ulticlips! I'm almost never wearing a belt lately, so the clip is a life saver for me.
Thats a sweet looking all-round knife. From baguettes to rope slicing :-)
I have two TRC knives and both are outstanding. What I love most about them are the quality. They feel like they were forged to be both working knives as well as pieces of art. You wouldn't understand that last point until you held one. The craftsmanship is phenomenal.
Полностью согласен
"Art work" LOL. yeah no, there's absolutely nothing they do that hasn't been done a million times over the years. Hipster BS confirmed.
Dude. Take it down a notch. @@DB.KOOPER
Great looking knife. I'm glad to see more EDC-oriented fixed blades, and I am excited about CPM MagnaCut. I am currently waiting on a MagnaCut knife from Survive! Knives. I appreciate your highly informative channel. It is definitely one of my go-to resources for knife information. Thanks.
Thanks so much Dan!
how long have you been waiting? I've been waiting about a year and a half on my 5.1
youre never gonna get it...
real cool knife thanks for sharing
Between 4 to 4,5 inch blade is just the sweet spot for me .
Excellent.Keep up the good work
TRC and magnacut you can’t go wrong with that. I recently purchased a Joker after watching your review and it is also a great fixed blade. Great content as always thanks!
Which joker did ya get, and for what purposes are you using it for? I've been interested in them too.
@@Mr_Whats_His_Nuts I bought the Lynx. Great for everyday use small enough to edc but robust enough for all camp and bushcraft tasks
Looks like a great edc option!
I absolutely love my TRC knives, and had a lovely experience with them. I really hoping that they will re-release the discontinued TR-15 (Bushcrafter) in the near future. With a more neutral handle without the finger groove on the handle.
Thank you Aaron for showcasing the TRC knife . This knife 🔪 looks very versatile and strong . This was another great presentation with great content . You always strive for excellence this video is a testament of this . Oh ! By the way please would showcase Extreama Ratio knives
TRC makes excellent knives!
TRC knives are one of my fav brand. great design and quality imo 👌🏻
Interesting little blade, perfect for a match-up with the new Knafs Lulu that just launched (Magnacut but more bushcraft with Scandi grind).
They are expensive, but very nice!
That's true!
I believe my Manix 2 is around 5 oz.
Very cool blade could definitely find a use for it from what I hear Magnacut is the steel to beat these days.
Sound like a great fix blade😊
My go to pocket knife is a Les George VECP Button Lock that comes in around 5.5 oz
Hi! Super company, great products. Using South Pole apocalyptic and two Speed Demons. Greetings from Lithuania.
😃 BONJOUR MONSIEUR MERCI POUR LA VIDÉO QUE VOUS AVEZ FAIT ET LES COMPARAISONS AVEC LES AUTRES COUTEAUX . ( PASSE LE BONJOUR A TOUTES VÔTRE FAMILLE) .😉
@TELE_GRAM-ME.gideonstactical MERCI MONSIEUR 👍.
VOUS AVEZ ENCORE BESOIN DE MOI ?
Nice review!
Nice video
Good presentation...keep up the good work... lately ive been carrying a buck vantage in s30v...very solid knife...was lucky to get it at a very good price
Very nice! That is a good edc for sure
Looks like a great knife good review mate
Thanks for watching!!
That looks like a great knife made from a great steel. Being from Lithuania means it'll likely be a pretty unique blade among your friends as well.
Great video, thanks.
Nice setup! Not crazy about tube-style bolsters (prefer screw attachment) but love sheath! $350 seems too steep for knife tho
Really interested an a fixed blade EDC. Like the concept, but haven't found one that executed it well. Hope this one does!
Nice knife, never had experience using one.
A good review of the TRC Pohlheim 👍The Pohlheim is on top of my buy list. I own many knives and I own some (6) TRC knives, infact the TRC South Pole is one of my most used EDC Knives. The TRC Classic Freedom Full Flat is in my opinion also a excellent EDC knife. Yes TRC kinves are expensive, but the quality, fit and finish are top notch, they are all hand made in small quantities in lithuania (semi custom level). Greetings from germany.
That is a great knife, love your videos!
Great looking knife!
Looks like a winner to me! Love the workmanship.
This was the first channel I subscribed too when I first started collecting knifes. Ingot into it about 3 almost 4 years ago. I wanted to get a very durable knife to survive me through SHTF. Thanks to you I was able to pick a knife. Little did I know a new addiction had started and now I have lots of knifes mostly fixed blades. Lol so I guess I thanks you and also curse you for this new addiction of mine. You do great work and should be proud
Which knife did u go with for your first one
I am not sad for beings your conduit to suck a life giving addiction 😂
@@treybailey886 sorry should of added that. It was actually the Gerber strong arm. I just could t believe the torture test that thing went through. The same strongarm passed around three different RUclipsrs to try and break it and it never did.
@tannershumway3030 yeah I liked it too, I do carry my scandi grinds more often as my belt carry
Looks good !
Hi Aaron.
I really like this knife. I am not familiar with TRC Knives, but this one offers a lot in quality materials, shape and size. Looks like a really strong contender for an edc fixed blade. I would really like to to try to pocket carry it, but it does have several great options. I also would probably re-profile the blade as you did.
Right on!!
Two other exelent EDC knives from TRC around the same size as the Pohlheim: K-1S, steel is Elmax and Classic Freedom, steel is M390. My most used EDC is a South Pole with a secondary convex edge (I have reprofiling the edge), but the knife is a little bit bigger as the Pohlheim.
It always looks like you have a lot of fun doing these videos and playing with some pretty awesome toys like this one. Thank you for the content and good luck to everyone in the giveaway. That is a really slick-looking knife.
It’s a blast, I am very bless to be able to do this for a living and sharing my experience with you fellow blade brothers!!
Looks awesome! Would love to carry that bad boy!
Good looking knife but quite overpriced compared to the competition at $100 less it might be a good option but as it stands just way to much for what your getting. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
Great looking knife 🔪
Another good video. Never heard of this company, but looks like a really good tool.
Ya, they have a big following in Europe! Excellent quality but you will pay for it 😀
My go-to pocket knife is around 2oz. My fav lil puukko weighs about 4-4.5oz. The combo is much more versatile imo. This is a good lookin knife though.
TRC knives look nice, but expensive
