TROPICAL UPDATE - Jamaica & Cayman Islands Face Major Hurricane Threat.. Gulf Coast Next?

- We discussed it this morning, and we've seen some fairly big adjustments in a large majority of our track guidance throughout the day today. Jamaica can expect conditions to go downhill starting very early morning tomorrow, 3 July, and islanders should be sheltered in place no later than 8-10AM local time. Hispaniola's southern shores are being buffeted by tropical storm conditions, and coming up next are the Cayman Islands expected to receive the worst of Beryl late Wednesday into Thursday 4 July. The United States gulf coast looks to be a promising target if these trends northward continue...

Truthfully it is. Going to need to heavily research why this is the case, because currently I’m a little in the dark

As you absolutely should. In a situation like this, I believe there is no way to over prepare. Cross all you T’s and dot all your I’s. Be safe the next 12 hours, don’t venture out for anything. Get plenty of rest tonight, stay hydrated and remain vigilant

Glad to have you joining us. I have a full breakdown ahead this morning. I’d honestly say based on what I’m seeing Montego Bay may be the best place (relatively) to be as Beryl comes through. I’ll explain at 9am
I’ve been tracking hurricanes since Hurricane David of 1979 when I was 11 years old with my dad. Never in my lifetime I’ve ever seen a major hurricane in late June early July. My secretary is from Port Royal, Jamaica. She was on the phone all day warning her family about Beryl, she came in my office crying and apologizing for being on her phone. I’m like come on Steph, you know warning your family is way more important than answering the phone and making my schedule. I told her to stay on the clock and continue warning her family members, and I’ll handle the clerical stuff. So when I had a break between cases, we both sat down and watched your previous video. You really helped her understand what’s happening, thank you so much for everything 🙏🏾

It's almost like Beryl is telling everyone not to underestimate him. He's going to do what he wants and the heck with dry air, high pressure or windshear. 😮
Thankfully wind shear from the southwest is much more evident on satellite this morning. However will it be enough to really knock this storm down? Still debatable

@@gunhawrtisThere’s no such thing as manipulation of weather, we don’t have the technology to manipulate weather. I know Nazario will agree with me, especially since he actually worked with the military forecasting for the Air Force
No weather manipulation. We came into this season with very abnormal conditions, and that’s why we’re realizing these abnormal results

After the storm you should see some relatively cooler weather. But not for very long unfortunately. Also watching what our other invest area does, new trends seem to be picking up on slow organization
Let's not omit noting the incoming coronal mass ejection arriving NOW to TOMORROW following an EXTREME solar X flare, BOTH of which charge up the ionosphere & magnetosphere w/electrical pizzazz (tech term!), adding strength to atmospheric intensity.
That solar ion influx + bathtub temp H2O in the Gulf...& apparently a weakening high pressure front could even intensify Beryl. Remember Acupulco & because of that historic hurricane last season we now have a new hurricane category: Cat 6...

Hi what can you tell us about the storms that are behind beryl are they as strong as beryl and where do you think they will hit.... I see news anchors speaking about them but you were on point so far with everything concerning beryl I would really appreciate your take on it if possible thanks
I will be touching base on this later at 9am. I am seeing signals our weak disturbance behind beryl may try to organize a bit further. Was thinking there was a shot at some “delayed” development, and computer models are beginning to echo the same thinking. Won’t be nearly as strong but still a feature to watch

Hello Texas friends, according to NHC it looks like you guys will feel the tropical storm affects from Beryl. He’s not going to be as strong as he is in the Caribbean once he hits the Gulf Of Mexico. Still a few days away, most likely wouldn’t feel any affect from the storm until late Saturday night Sunday morning according to my calculations and estimates. But continue visiting NHC website for official information
You guys can also visit your local National Weather Service website for more information as well, all you have to do is type National Weather Service and then your location through either Google or Bing. Whatever NWS office is nearby will populate in your search engine.

Wish I could say I gathered extra sleep but… I’d be lying to you lol these are busy times and I’m here for it!
I keep hearing you say that this isn’t suppose to be happening, you and other forecasters. What you have to keep in mind with this hurricane season is that this is going to be a hurricane season unlike anything we’ve seen before. Basic and nostalgic weather forecasting goes out the window, weather in general is tough to predict but from what I am seeing from this hurricane is that from the weather models to the people forecasting, this hurricane has everyone chasing their tails around and around in circles. Personally I do not believe what these models are putting down. Some has it intensifying, others weakening or going away all together. I know what my eyes are seeing with the spaghetti models but I’m not trusting it as far as I can throw it. 2024 hurricane season, EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!!!!
I completely agree. A lot of our earlier theories during the first quarter of 2024 are unfortunately making a lot more sense now. Anomalous conditions make for abnormal results.

According to NHC officials the Cayman Islands and Jamaica will be hit by a strong catastrophe Major Category 4 hurricane close to a Category 5 hurricane. That will be very much determined by what we wake up to tomorrow. On approach we will see what occurs and as it bears down we can project the intensity eight hours out

If it doesn’t completely fall apart over Jamaica, it will likely find a window to get more organized before the Yucatan and in the west gulf

New track is out and it’s taking this monster right up into South Texas. No, this thing isn’t weakening and taking the southern track at all. I see this only getting worse.
Depending on the level of land interaction we receive from Hispaniola and Jamaica tomorrow, that will properly determine how much weakening we’ll get. Then we can better project the route ahead
