The weird thing about armor break on hyper propellant is that it actually DOES go through praetorian armor to deal full damage to the body...but only when you are not the host oddly enough (though it still gets reduced damage on twins armor regardless), a lot of quirks start to pop up with weapons and interactions in DRG sometimes when it comes to playing as client I actually didn't know that hyper propellant didn't lose direct damage when taking incendiary, Will need to give that a try thanks!
You DO lose damage by taking fire though, as all dreads and opressors are resistant to fire. you're best just off turning the thing into a hitscan with increased velocity
The thing is, while you lose damage on them from fire, it's extra damage on top of the base damage so it's still slightly more than the armor break or velocity upgrades. The fire damage can't reduce disintegrate damage, only explosive damage.
I don't care what management thinks, the frequent breaks you take while on a mission helps keeps our gaurd up. (I still laugh when I hear the "BONUS DUCKS" for getting the mugs lost in transit.)
I mean that headcanon does make sense and would explain why the dwarves dislike him so much, he abandoned Karl and broke the fabled “leave no dwarf behind” rule, resulting in the great miner’s death.
One combo I ADORE running with Executioner LOK-1 is the Inferno OC on the Breach Cutter, since it can apply heat quick, you can swiftly get that bonus damage on burning targets easy
Here's a fun fact: incendiary rounds on T3 for hyper-propellant PGL can overheat a patrol bot in 1 shot on any difficulty, provided you land a direct hit. That means that even if it doesn't take out the whole health bar, it still one-taps them because bots explode on overheat. So consider taking it for rival presence missions or industrial sabotage if you just REALLY want patrol bots dead the second you can shoot them.
"You know what? Maybe I won't send a supply pod because SOMEONE keeps not listening to me when I tell them not to kick the barrels into the...." Lol That one's an all time favourite line. 🤣

I knew you gonna mentioned the epc overclock change from heat pipe to energy rerouting and I'm pretty hyped about it ngl cause my main secondary with the vamp driller is with the epc mining with the same build in the video ! And that's the build i was sticking with after they patched out Heat Pipe oc since last year too. I appreciate you talking about it.
If my math adds up, the fire PGL still oneshots grunts at Haz 5 (if over a period of time) when used with RJ250. You only have a radius of 5.5 instead of 6.1, and the damage is lower (95 Vs 120), but it is still high enough to pass that threshold, giving you an ideal wave clear with extra ammo _and_ rocket jump utility (bonus points because the 50% damage converted to heat means you damage yourself less when jumping)

Gotta weigh in between the 3x Damage from Frozen (if there are Cryo Drillers and Scouts) vs Temp Shock when selecting the Incendiary Mod on the Hyper Propellant PGL, especially during Dread missions. I've always used heat pipe or charge speed upgrades for my EPC while mining, so whenever I see someone using the EPC without TCF and holding a charge shot I always stare for a while before realizing that the weapon doesn't normally melt when you hold the trigger.
OHHHH WAIT. I totally thought you meant the damage mod on the build, not the actual damage they were doing! I had someone telling me id chosen the wrong tier 1 mod so I was primed for that lol

Came here exactly for this. The direct damage is fairly inconsequential on embedded dets, I'd rather just have more ammo to sink more detonators into bugs. Does this meet some particular breakpoint you find more useful than more overall total damage Siirvend? Love the vids, and adore the mission control mod. Thanks!
I like the added damage because it gets bugs to the death threshold for reloads faster but honestly either mod is valid in tier 1 here. This particular set up was for going after dreadnoughts so I end up resupplying often anyway due to the nature of the mission type. Given, this is assuming you're tapping the trigger sometimes rather than unloading full mags.

@@siirvend Yeah. It’s been around for several months or so, but it seems like the PGL is still the most bugged weapon in the game. That said, homebrew is still functional for other PGL builds, or if you pick a different mod over Incendiary Compound.

Do you do your thumbnails yourself? If so, how/what program do you use? I love the way they look, simple and very clean. Much easier on the eyes than most RUclips thumbnails these days.
Oh thanks! Yeah I do them myself in Adobe Illustrator although any vector based illustration software would do just fine, like GIMP. The thumbnails are simply silhouettes made from screenshots in game, nothing terribly complicated but I'm very glad people like them. It's inspired me to try doing some more complex things with them and using my training as a graphic designer more.

Recently the rival company has has made more drastic measures to prevent teams without our very rare human workers (including myself) from getting the job done without some major scars, so I ask for you to make a guide to deal with that monstrosity they call a Nemesis, I'm kinda exhausted from having some newbies complaining to kill it faster while they all hide behind a wall since the thing only detects dwarves even when being busted up.

Fat Boy does a LOT of area damage and exchanging 30% of that for fire seems less useful when you already have the radiation AoE dealing damage to bugs trapped in the blast radius. Incendiary Compound is still not terrible on it but that the one build I don't bring it with.
Armor break still breaks the armor plates it hits still and also doesn't convert the damage like Incendiary Compound does. I just dont like the projectile speed on nukes because it feels hard to control them for some reason to me.
Siirvend trolls while interning for robert and intentionally gives viewers the worst possible builds. But that's not even him at his worst. Karl forbid you join him on a mission. Especially as a scout. 🤕

@@siirvend Also, tier 4a is bugged where if you have incendiary hyperprop, it doesn’t randomly roll damage so instead I take 21132 hyper propellant

@@siirvend Yeah. It’s been around for several months or so, but it seems like the PGL is still the most bugged weapon in the game. That said, homebrew is still functional for other PGL builds, or if you pick a different mod over Incendiary Compound.
At this rate man's gonna be either reprimanded too hard, given no bear or sended with forward teams, and management cant even give him assistant. Poor guy (Good video as usual)

Do you do your thumbnails yourself? If so, how/what program do you use? I love the way they look, simple and very clean. Much easier on the eyes than most RUclips thumbnails these days.
Oh thanks! Yeah I do them myself in Adobe Illustrator although any vector based illustration software would do just fine, like GIMP. The thumbnails are simply silhouettes made from screenshots in game, nothing terribly complicated but I'm very glad people like them. It's inspired me to try doing some more complex things with them and using my training as a graphic designer more.

Recently the rival company has has made more drastic measures to prevent teams without our very rare human workers (including myself) from getting the job done without some major scars, so I ask for you to make a guide to deal with that monstrosity they call a Nemesis, I'm kinda exhausted from having some newbies complaining to kill it faster while they all hide behind a wall since the thing only detects dwarves even when being busted up.

11:03 why armor brake mod?
Fat Boy does a LOT of area damage and exchanging 30% of that for fire seems less useful when you already have the radiation AoE dealing damage to bugs trapped in the blast radius. Incendiary Compound is still not terrible on it but that the one build I don't bring it with.
@@siirvend ? but armor brake mod is bugged and doesn't do jack shit. isn't it obvious that u should take the projectile speed mod?
Armor break still breaks the armor plates it hits still and also doesn't convert the damage like Incendiary Compound does. I just dont like the projectile speed on nukes because it feels hard to control them for some reason to me.
