- The Budget Build Honda Civic Project receives the biggest transformation yet! We install the new Wheels and Coilovers for an awesome new look!
Most car guys know this as the moment you need a new daily driver for your daily driver. After a couple months of planning and collecting parts, my "vision" for my budget Honda Civic project finally came together. I understand that installing wheels and coilovers on a civic is an everyday thing, but I had never planned that for this car. Therefore I wanted a clean and drivable "stance" rather than something that was static slammed on the floor. This isn't a "how to install civic coilovers video," but should give you the basic information.
I'll have a long term review on the TruHart coilovers down the road, but even after the install I think they are a great affordable option for Hondas. The Konig Dekagrams look absolutely killer and surprised me how well they fit the look of the car. I don't think I'll need to roll the fenders on the civic, but these wheels would honestly be worth it. Thank you again Konig for sending these out!
I want to give a big thank you to Jason (low_psi_evo) for running the show and Brian (Gearheaddetailing) for letting us use the lift at the shop! Seriously, that lift in combination with the Race Ramps were awesome. Made the entire install and working on the car so much easier. I hope you guys dig the new look of the Civic and please leave comments for what should be next!

I bought an old civic for a daily. Someone had already swapped in a motor. I swore up and down that I wasn't going to fix it up and make it look nice or drive good. But here I am, planning on these coilovers, already did headers back, cold air intake, new wheels and tires (twice), and a LOT of TLC planned for the body. It's just really satisfying work. Thanks for the review. Can't wait to have a similar install day with my friends in a few weeks!
Love that thick tire profile. Has a nice 90s euro shape about them. Fills the wheel space up nicely.

It just look good ,but after you charge lower shocks,so many setting will change ,
Toe,c.v joints angle,tie rod end angle,brake hoses,and the shocks much hard the Tower will not strong enough.

Next thing you should get is a really nice sway bar and maybe an exhaust that isnt loud but actually makes the car more responsive, either way I'm hype to see more content on it :D

My Honda civic HX has 330K miles and Having very minor issues. Overall it's running great! Got a new/used trans from a d16y7, new cluth, and flywheel, belts, oil pain gasket, headgasket, etc.. I'm getting a combined 35mpg and around 40+mpg on the HWY! So, far I'll be planning to replace my struts to KYB OEM replacements for better ride. I'm planning to keep this car for a while. I have a 2008 328i and that piece of shit is falling apart 1x1, while the civic is still going strong!

If you’re ever looking to do an exhaust and want to stay quiet, the apexi ws2 looks good and gives a tiny bit of noise but it’s not a ricer catback. Love the coupe dude, looks better than mine :)
Get the axel back,the full exhaust is not worth the money.
Dude that coupe looks so good. Never thought Milano red would look good on these coupes but this setup is so clean and simple.

Love the build so far but I would this you should get the black housing headlights, tints and what’s an amazing daily with out speakers. But little things you can also do are things like changing all bulbs to leds or like spraying your value and manifold cover. Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to see this car in its final product!🙃😌🥵

Use the black sockets with impact wrenches, The chrome ones are less thicc & are NOT meant for use with impact wrenches. If you use the chrome ones they might explode while you're using them.

Never had a single socket explode from doing that. Also that isn’t a 1/2 impact. Doesn’t have near as much torque
