Playing to a 5 handicap now, when I first started watching these a year ago I was closer to a 10 - I am now really seeing how important it is to get good inside 100 yds and around greens to go even lower. This video is top tier
@1:45, discussion of being able to holster the gun after the shot. This is so good. You two are incredible. Please do as many if these duo videos as you can. They are pure gold. Thank you!
This is some of the best content on YT, the small checks and tips are what help me understand the feeling and work this into my technique. Chipping, pitching, lob shots for me are some of the most difficult shots in golf. Get close to the green in general play and if you can master this you are shooting low and loving golf :-). "Finally I get the meaning of the hinge and hold" lol!
This was literally the most straightforward plain english educating golf video ive ever seen. Miles and miles of information and tangible training advice. Simple informative and too the point with great examples. Thank you for the years of info in here
This is my new go-to video for the short game. I could unpack this at a practice facility for years. Pick something different each month. Grind. Improve. I'll forward this video a ton, too. Seeing you caddie at the US Open got me thinking: I can't even imagine how many strokes you would save me if you helped me through a round. 20 I bet. I also appreciated the emotion you showed at the end talking about your family and your history with Todd. That says a lot about you and about him. Great stuff.
Appreciate the lesson. Great to see this collaboration. Increasing grip pressure is something I do, but have never heard it put into a training lesson. Great information! I seem to put half my practice time into my wedges! Thanks
This is a spectacularly fantastic video on chipping...I can finally be confident on the flop shot! (Went the next morning and tried all this...amazing!). THANK YOU!!!
Well that was fun! Just got back from the practice green and was just nailing these shots. Might have to go see Todd since his facility is just 30 minutes away.
I took short game guru+ chip and pitch on the course today without a practice session and wowed myself,,, now to actually get a practice session and a bunker moment (no practice bunkers available) I have confidence.
Saved this to my golf playlist …ive recently (finally)figured out a consistent chip that i just need to practice for distance control .pitching use to be all i could do but now im flubbing or skulling again like i did 30 yrs ago…🤷🏼♂️ and also similar results half the time i try to land a high one like a butterfly with sore feet, though skull is more apt with floppy shot… or if i open the face like shown here and most lesson on YT show i also can shoot the ball way up but off to the right out of fear of closing down the face and sending it over the green lol… im a mess , he certainly saving this 😬😜👍🏼✌️
I thought that looked like Todd, then he mentioned Chicago.. Todd instructed our class @ the Golf Academy of America Orlando back in 08. Great instructor!
What an incredible series, you guys are truly the best! I worked on it this am and was really good! Is it possible to early extend in chip & pitch shots? My right side seems to move into the ball as I rotate and blocks the path …is that something youve come across? many thanks Rob K
Great video but did anyone else notice that the first lob shot at 9:17 was a double hit? Perfectly legal but with that technique, which I use as well, the double hit can screw you! Ask me how I know...🤣
6 on with 18 rollout is 24 total. That would be 1/4. 1/3 would be 6 on with 12 rollout. Unless you meant to say a 1 to 3 ratio which isn’t the same as 1/3. I’m going to assume you meant 6 on with 12 rollout fit 18 total.
I cant chip with two hands so i only use left hand for all shots from the edge of the green out to 25 meter. Works great! (I play right) But i´m left handed but throw with right, are stronger in right, play ping pong with left, tennis with right... so when i´m tryin to make a short chip my arms fight who´s gonna be in charge and all goes to shit...
Mr Porzak.. I love watching you but PLEASE stop talking when your mentor is on.. you make it like a competition.. let us listen to just him during HIS videos
Let's thank Todd Sones for coming onto the channel! 🙌
Thanks, Todd! You were instrumental in creating one of the best golf coaches on the planet!
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thanks Todd. Adam is my favorite online golf instructor and his videos are awesome…when you join them you make them even better!
Thank you Todd! This is the worst part of my game, so inconsistent. Love the explanations. Adam and Todd for president 🎉
Thanks to both of you. PRISTINE content.
I love how pumped up Adam is working with his mentor ❤
It’s so much fun!

Go Cubbies!! I was totally not expecting to get choked up at the end of the video. You got me!
Thank you so much for this lesson. Has totally changed my outlook on the short game.
it totally explained my confusion about pitching and chipping, thanks
Glad it helped! 👊🏻

Great content and great respect seeing a peek into a very personal friendship.

This is a spectacularly fantastic video on chipping...I can finally be confident on the flop shot! (Went the next morning and tried all this...amazing!). THANK YOU!!!
Finally, I learned the 3 kind of shots. Thank you!
I have a few questions:
What what the loft of the wedge used in this video?
What about the rule of 12 for chipping depending on the club you use?
60 degree, mentioned at 6:27 mark.
Still can’t believe I can watch this for free
I have to watch three times before going to the backyard to practice😊.
Peeling back the layers by show and tell. Brilliant!

So much great content in this video. It's like watching real-life Jedi Masters in action!

I thought that looked like Todd, then he mentioned Chicago.. Todd instructed our class @ the Golf Academy of America Orlando back in 08. Great instructor!
Really good video
Best explanation
Excellent explanation
Hi - love the lesson...but what does Todd mean by setting the club shaft at 90 deg to the ground for the pitching stance? Thx!!
What an incredible series, you guys are truly the best! I worked on it this am and was really good! Is it possible to early extend in chip & pitch shots? My right side seems to move into the ball as I rotate and blocks the path …is that something youve come across? many thanks Rob K
Well done.
Thank you!!
@ 6:30 In what world is this shaft 90 degrees to the ground?
He means it’s 90 degrees to his left and right… so his hands are behind or ahead of the head at address
Great video. Superb. Just subscribed 👍🏼
Great tips!!!
So folks is your club face at address sq and for pitch and lob shots do you open the clubface in the backswing?
The best!!
Thank you sir. But i got confuse which short club to be in golf bag. 60 / 54 / 56 / 50. is these too many.
Great video but did anyone else notice that the first lob shot at 9:17 was a double hit? Perfectly legal but with that technique, which I use as well, the double hit can screw you! Ask me how I know...🤣
Cheers great tips 😊
Incroyable ( means Amazing in French ) Thanks a lot

“STRATEGEY”
Have never heard the most confusing words(pitch and chip) explained so easily
❤
Tip to never forget : "Bolster the Gum". No, wrong, can't remember..what the hell was the trick again.... !! :P
Chip= hit less hard
Pitch= hit harder
Mitigate not midigate
Mitigate the trouble.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
White hat guy is giving me QVC energy. Not sure I like it. Wish he would just let the other guy talk rather than talking over and interrupting
You mean Porzak? The owner of this channel?
Mr Porzak.. I love watching you but PLEASE stop talking when your mentor is on.. you make it like a competition.. let us listen to just him during HIS videos
confusing.
