I mix my ingredients through my mini processor. I use equal parts shredded parmesan, shredded mozzarella, sliced pepperoni and one egg. I zip it up until the cheeses are in equally small pieces then I cook in the Dash mini until there's no more steam. They come out nice and crispy. When I eat them I dip in Rao's pizza sauce. They are sooo good.

Hi Twins, Thanks again for another information video. I'll be trying these all @ some pt now. Fun fact; you can actually use a tablespoon or 2 of home grown sweet corn in place of the corn extract. Why do I know this because a) I'm too impatient to wait for it b) it's pretty expensive and c) the actual sweet corn has very little carbs, so why not use the real deal?! How do I know this you adk?! Because I just googled all this last night when I came across a chaffle corn dog recipe. And it looked delish! I wish I could give someone credit here but honestly, I have no idea which channel had it?!

I made the wonder bread Chaffee the same as your recipe, but remade it again into something better. In the original recipe, I replaced 1 tbl of almond flour with lupin flour; I replaced 1 egg with the equivalent of 2 egg whites; reduced the Mayo to 1 teaspoon; and added a dash of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of Splenda Natural Stevia to the egg whits. It turned out delicious!

I just got to try my first chaffles today. I got my dash mini yesterday, and used it today. I was afraid I might not get it right the first time, but I got it perfect. It was so good. I had them with cheesy scrambled eggs. I made 4, but one of them was about half the size. I only ate two, and saving the others for tomorrow. I have been so excited to try them. I only just heard of them a few weeks ago.

The dash 4 chaffle maker is a game changer for us. Also I make the wonder bread mixture in the microwave in a small square Pyrex dish cut it in half depth wise and it makes the perfect 2 slices of bread, for sandwiches. I’ve even used it to make French toast, and it’s not bad.

For the Wonder Bread chaffle to get the Wonder Bread flavor you really need to add a sweetner of your choice. That basic recipe is great as a base (I use liquid egg whites to cut the egg flavor and because I do huge batches and freeze) to add things such as: (dill weed), (thin sliced onions then shredded cheese of your choice on the grill then batter - add garlic powder to mix - then onion followed by cheese), (bacon bits), (garlic, chives, parsley, mozzarella cheese, mini pepperoni), (use cream cheese instead of mayo add cream cheese, brown sugar substitute and cinnamon), (cream cheese instead of mayo add sugar free jam), (using cream cheese instead of mayo add your favorite sf pudding mix out of the package).

  • @barbsmith5901
    @barbsmith5901 2 года назад +3

My husband said I forgot to tell you his favorite. I use the basic wonderbread mix but add sf maple syrup and cook them in the Dash mini griddles instead of the waffler. Cook up mini omelets with any mixture of ham/cheese/peppers/onions/sausage/mushrooms/bacon or just drop an egg on the mini griddle to make a fried egg. Cook up sausage patties on the mini griddles. Store all in the frig or freeze (take out the night before to thaw) and when he gets up in the am he puts together his McGriddle sandwhich (he feels like he is cheating). I also fix either cauliflower, zucchini or broccoli mini hashnrounds and he can heat them upnin the air frier or microwave depending on how much time he has. Those are his super happy days.

Keto twins: I’d love for you to try my paffle recipe: perfect for those of us who need to limit cheese.
    2.6 oz pork rinds
    18 whole eggs
1/4 cup fat (tallow, butter, etc)
    2.5 tsp gelatin
    Seasonings if desired
Put everything in a blender until smooth. Cook in waffle maker.
If you want it soft, remove when the light goes off, if you want it crispy leave it in until golden.
Yes, it does make about 3 dozen, I developed the recipe for my large family.

I like your recipe because I can still use my old "square" waffle maker and get round chaffles. I just form them into a disc shape, place them in the middle of the "squares" and press down. They spread out into a round shape just fine.
Also, when thinking about reheating...if I use your recipe...I reheat in my toaster oven for a couple minutes for a softer texture and for 5-6 minutes to bring back the crisp.
Since I have 4-square waffle maker, I used your recipe measurements to calculate for 8 chaffles.

It's me again! LOL! I just re-watched this video because I'm interested in trying the cornbread recipe. I remember you saying they didn't taste a lot like cornbread, so I can load up on the flavoring a bit more. Meanwhile, I was looking around for some unique chaffles, and I found a Big Mac chaffle, if you think that's something people would be interested in. You can do a search here... there are a couple recipes for it.
Thank you for all you do! You two crack me up!

On Serious Keto, Steve made cornbread with a little canned baby corn (which has a LOT less carbs than regular corn) to add both flavor and texture. I haven’t tried it yet but I’m going to try your recipe mixed with his idea

I put a little almond milk in mine to make it easy to spread. Comes out the same too.

Oh I can't wait for y'all to get your first RUclips Play Button. I did a video comparing your two chaffle recipes well over a year ago and it is still my #1 video every single month. We love a chaffle around here!
I do actually like to use the wonderbread chaffle as bread for sandwiches or burgers. I've even used them just as a waffle with some sugar free syrup. They all sound pretty good to be fair and I already know your version is a winner. I'm curious if more corn flavor would help, or if the cheddar and jalapeno would never give you a chance to taste it because that's my favorite type of cornbread.
    Have a great week!

As another commenter said, your chaffles are my favorites. I like to dip them in a keto version of Chick-Fil-A sauce and they taste just like Chick-Fil-A’s waffle fries to me. I use my Sunbeam waffle maker and they come out great.

I use a regular waffle maker. (I bought a Dash but I let my daughter take it home.) Two chaffle recipes make one large chaffle in my regular waffle maker. I just split it in two. It works just fine.

I have been making something similar to the garlic chaffle but I add a can of chicken breast some oat fiber (just for structure and a little extra fiber) some parmigiana. I use these as our pizza crust and we have mini pizzas with them. Almost as good as regular pizza.

Love your chaffel tips! Crispy is best! Bought a Dash mini and having so much fun trying various spices to flavor my chaffels. I just use egg whites and cheese (Parmesan, cheddar, and mozzarella all work)! No almond flour or pork rind flour or xanthum gum. Mine still turn out crispy using the spread method. Your cleaning method also works well for George Foreman grills! 😊

I tried your egg white chaffle and love it. However I also found it way to crispy. So I just used a bit less Xanthum powder and now they are perfect. Thank you, love them.
