These cracked me up especially the garlic hack. I also think the water was not hot enough for the egg noodles maybe if it had been a rolling boil it might have worked better. Definitely going to try frying in the pork panko that did sound good. Keep up the good work you’ve helped me loose 10 lbs so far. Thanks!😂
I think the water was hot enough but not deep enough. So the egg just piled in on top of itself. I think this recipe would benefit from the vortex method.
The poached eggs need to be done one at a time. I also find that doing them in a mug works better…and I leave it in the hot water an extra 30 seconds or so when I pull it out. It comes out cooked on the outside and runny inside just like it’s supposed to.
Yogurt Bark! Have you ever done a frozen yogurt bark video? Super easy and soooo good. I used 2 individual sized keto ratio vanilla yogurts with about 1/2 a cup of frozen berries, put both in blender until smooth. Pour onto parchment lined small baking sheet and freeze for 3 + hours. Break into bark pieces. Could also top with nuts, chocolate chips, more fruit, etc. Love your videos!
the best egg noodles I found over at low carb love - easy keto fettuccini. I have made it as is and it was easy and very good. Then I modified 4 eggs 2 oz cream cheese 1T almond flour and 1/8 t of xanthan gum. I spread on a silicone mat and bake at 350 - I check at 8 minutes and usually they are done by 10min. These are a little sturdier and you can cut large sheets for lasagna or slice smaller for noodles. also roll up well for manicotti!! BTW I also make soft bread like chaffles the same recipe as my hack but I make 1/2 the recipe for 5-6 chaffles - XL eggs get 6 every time. - I know you both love the crunch by I miss soft burger buns and these do the trick! A hint for the microwave - do one at a time, multiples don't cook evenly
I make a “homemade “ egg McMuffin before work and I use a bit of melted butter in a ramekin, crack my egg in the melted butter, salt and pepper . I then make a cut in the yolk because I’ve had them explode, and microwave 30 seconds and then another 30 seconds with a splatter cover over it that seems to hold the steam in. After one minute I put a half slice of pepper Jack cheese on top and put the cover back on but leave it in the microwave whilst I’m changing clothes. In a few minutes I carefully remove the egg from the hot butter and place a slice of ham on. I put mine on a Chaffle or homemade low carb dash waffle, I make batches of these and reheat in my air fryer when I need bread for sandwich. So yummy and filling. I don’t eat lunch so this breakfast holds me until dinner time after work...💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
I do the microwave egg all the time after seeing a video…someone had suggested to not put the bowl/glass/container in the middle of the microwave but put the container on the side this way it won’t explode. I do that all the time now for everything and nothing explodes.
Ermahgerd !!!! Thank you for being current !! Whenever I search keto ideas they’re from creators from years back. You guys keep it fresh fun and exciting Thanks again. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
You ladies are so much fun to watch. I agree with Sarah this time “ you’re doing it wrong , Nooo”. A smaller orifice on the syringe would make finer noodles and use a wider flatter pot that’s very hot and maybe lightly salted water. Traditional poached eggs many times have a tsp of white vinegar added to the water. I had a high school friend and she made microwave scrambled eggs in a cup with cheese and Worcestershire sauce mixed in. Very tasty with a bit of a bite. Keep up the good work and let us know what you would use the egg whites for afterwards. The chaffle idea looks amazingly delicious.
I have a great recipe for waffles. Two eggs and 1 tspn of Mayo. Mix it well and put in your waffle iron. You may get a little overflow but they come out SOOOO good. Add butter and some no sugar or low carb maple syrup. They are yummy
Ha, Law and Order. I learned “string soup” from KetoRewind. If you stir very quickly into the larger pot of water/bouillon with a very slow egg pour in, helps keep the eggs 🥚separated. It’s pretty much egg drop soup; I like making into a Pho type soup 🍜.
Love your experiments. I always poach eggs in microwave. I use 1/2 cup water and 1 large egg in a heat proof dessert dish for 50-60 seconds. After you take it out, it’ll continue to cook so you can decide how soft you want it. Use a slotted spoon to carefully take it out. I suggest you try using a shallower, wider dish, the glass isn’t the best shape. I’ll admit I get an occasional explosion, but not often.
If you want the white to cook properly with microwaved poached eggs then you need to start with boiling water before you add the eggs. It is the hot water that cooks the white part of the eggs.
I still maintain that the best and easiest keto ramen dupe is a steaming beansprouts for 2-3 minutes once the water comes to a boil and then doing just like you did with the "egg yolk noodles" and adding your favourite ramen packet seasoning to it to give it that flavour. I have it all the time with some seaweed on the side and it definitely crushes my neverending ramen craving. I think I will try your egg noodle hack though with the whole egg instead of just the yolk to see how it tastes as I'm trying to get more eggs in my diet.
If you want to cook whole eggs in the microwave, pierce the yolk with a wooden toothpick in a couple places. It helps with the pressure, but the short cook cycles are a wise choice too.
For the absolute best hard boiled eggs: Try gently injecting a few ccs of melted butter into eggs with a hypodermic syringe and needle just before boiling them.. You'll be amazed at the results. Believe it or not, the small hole that's created from the injection also helps stabilize the pressure that builds up in the egg during the boiling process and helps avoid the shell cracking and the contents leaking into the water. Once the eggs have boiled for 10 minutes, rinse them in cold water from the sink and gently place them in a small pot of ice water. After they've soaked in the ice water for about 3 to 5 minutes, peel them under another stream of cold water from the sink. You'll be surprised how easily the shell separates from the albumen when the egg is extra cold. Now enjoy some extra buttery hard boiled eggs with a little salt. Finally, go ahead and grind the shells in the garbage disposal. Eggshells actually serve to sharpen the blades.
Sarah and Emily! I use an egg separator. Works every time. I am going to try the fried yolk. I use to fry my eggs in the micro and they use to come out pretty good. About 60-90 seconds. No oil, no water ................................ 😎👍👍
Lol. You gals crack me up every time and you're not even trying to. I think i'll stick to scrambled and fried, thanks for the video and keep the laughs and keto tips coming.
I do my eggs that way but put a saucer on top microwave for 52 seconds. It’s never exploded or been hard😉. I think you should try again but not in spurts and with a saucer on top.
Emily! We see what you’re doing, girl. You always assign yourself the recipe that looks promising and then Sarah gets the ones we all know are gonna fail. At least this time she didn’t personally get blamed for the “recipe” or hack being fake. One of these times you need to switch it up so she gets a win too! ❤
The first micro convention my mother bought years ago came with a poached egg receipe. According to that you need a little bit of vinegar in the water, salt, and pierce the yolk with a toothpick. Wish I could find the actual recieoe
Another useful vid! I'm 2 1/2 years into my keto journey with excellent results. Around the end of year one I was burned out on eggs. That's also about the time I was getting more serious about intermittent fasting. Not consuming food calories until afternoon sort of took eggs out of the equation. I'll have to try the fried pork rind yolks. Sounds yummy! Of course, you've already made me into a chaffleaholic... Not a bad thing... Also, not sure why you need a 'hack' to make poached eggs. They're so simple already... Luv ur stuff! Keep it coming!
You can use one of those plastic ketchup or mustard bottles they sell on Amazon cheap instead of syringes. Also I think you need a rolling boil for them to turn into noodles immediately so when you kept pouring more in the water was not as hot as it was before so maybe you were right do a vortex with a full pot of rolling boiling water
@@ketotwins Oh Geez,TY for trying it for us,I was going to order a neede thing just for it,TY guys AGIN for saving us time and money!💕💕💕You both are Awsome!!!💕💕💕💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥
I really ADORE you two!! If I knew you personally, you'd be part of the family here LOL! But gee, I just saw in a kitchen hacks video... try THIS for separating eggs... WHO does NOT have a SLOTTED SPOON?! BREAK the egg in (with the spoon in a bowl), LIFT the spoon -- instantly separated!
I love the idea of the noodles, I think that could easily be done by putting the yolks in a bag and cutting a small hole. I miss ramen, this is going on my list!
I think to make the egg noodles work. I would have a rapid boil going on (yours doesn’t look like it’s boiling at all or more of a simmer) and then injecting the egg slowly and in a round about direction. Maybe a little salt in the water. Wonder if it’ll keep them from sticking together. I wanna try this. I’m gonna do it. Hopefully I’ll remember and report back.
Hi, Girls! Fun, as usual! May I suggest looking at the small writing inside the microwave door? Usually, the wattage is listed. And, yes, that so called noodle tik tok really looked pasted with a clip of regular noodles! 🤣
My Mom would make her poached eggs in the microwave. I do it now too and when I do it at work my coworkers are amazed. I use a bowl with very hot (hot pot hot) water. The bowl I use is a shorter one but wide. Maybe 5 in wide and 2 1/2 inches deep. I think the bowl makes a difference. Add 1 or 2 eggs. Cook 45 seconds and then cook more as needed. About 15 sec at a time. You can poke the yolk if you are concerned about it exploding. Good luck girls.
Hi Twins. You really are the cutest! And funny!! I feel like I have to get my dose of you @ least once a day. So I make microwave "poached eggs" all the time. Secret is to poke yolks once or twice before cooking. 😉 That keeps them from exploding. And yes, 30 sec intervals is abt right. The hotter the water, the quicker they cook. The sec and third eggs alw cook quicker. I also spritz cup/bowl/etc with some oil before I put water in. I've even made Pea Salad making eggs cooked in microwave. Could probably even do Keto "Potato" Salad?! These are great hacks. I plan on trying them all. B safe, L
The yolk cooks at a lower temperature than white. Slow cooking it evenly will solidify your yolk before the white protein can coagulate. Sous vide eggs will never be jammy for this reason. Heating from outside in , as in boiling or baking , forces heat into the white before the heat can get to the yolk in the center,, thus giving you a cooked white before the yolk gets too hot . Keto Focus makes egg cups in the 84 keto meals vid by laying deli meat into muffin cavities, cracking a whole egg into it and topping with cheese. If you time it just right with the ovens high heat, you get a nice soft but solid white and a nice jammy yolk or soft boiled texture Overcook and its just another "hard boiled egg".
Have you ever tried Gordon Ramsay's scrambled eggs? His technique makes them so creamy. Love them. The panko eggs look amazing! Must try them. Thanks for the tip.
Keto Asian Flavors has a egg noodle recipe that's low carb and it is like magic! I made it and was amazed at how good they turned out. You should check it out! Also Serious Keto has another version of noodle similar to the Keto Asian Flavors.
lol. Tajin. Midwesterners (I’m originally from the southwest suburbs of Chicago) pronounce it “ta-JEAN.” South of the boarder it’s pronounced “ta-HEEN.” 😄🌶❤️ I’m having flashbacks of when I moved to So-Cal and pronounced the street name “Jurupa” exactly as it’s spelled (juh-ROO-pah), thinking it was the funniest thing ever. My cousin, who grew up out here, was like, “Uh… it’s ha-ROO-pah…” 😅😂😂😂 Love you guys’ content!! 😄 Started my low carb/keto journey/lifestyle back last August and have since lost over 60lbs! Your channel, along with low-carb love and Thomas DeLauer’s are probably my most frequented keto channels I pop onto for recipe ideas and inspiration here on the RUclipss. 😄❤️ Keep being amazing!! Love you guys!!
I don't know if it would be possible, but I would love to see a keto version of thumbprint cookies without using nut flours. Anyway, great video as always. Have a great week girls!
I am excited to try the fried egg yolk on one of the delicious chaffles! I’m new to low-carb. Can someone tell a little more about pork rind panko, please? I wonder whether it’s simply ground up pork rinds, but panko makes it sounds quite specific. TIA!
9:33 - 9:44 😂👏🏼 Another great video from you all...Was disappointed they 'got' us with the clickbait and it wasn't the easiest noodles of all time😅 Egg drop soup is legit though👌🏼😋
I love eggs and I love how you are showing us better ways to fix/eat them. I would try to bag up egg yolks in a zip-loc bag, cut off the corner, and pipe them into some "Better Than Bullion" for egg drop soup. If they did come out like "noodles" I would be impressed. I would also make the deep-fried panko pork breaded egg yolks, but probably not the microwaved eggs. Sometimes I mix eggs in a Corelle bowl in melted butter and just microwave them on medium (covered) until they are cooked through. What can really make a mess is trying to reheat a peeled HB egg in the microwave. Never try that. Trust me.
“See how they love each other ” I think it’s from the New Testament (someone will connect me if wrong and I’ll stand corrected) but that’s what comes to mind when I see you two. I have a younger sister and we also look like twins.
Fried egg yolks look yummy. I wonder if you beat the yolks and whites together they would make better noodles. More boiling water? I might try! Thanks!
Ok~ this was awesome! Well done, 👏💞🍳well done👏💞🍳 K.T. ladies!! Have to say, I'm excited to try the panko fried yolks~ they look amazing, & I'm not a big egg fan, never have been. I'm trying to get more eggs into my diet though, just because they're so darn good for me...🎵"The incredible...edible...egg", right?!🎶 -Sam in AZ
Great experiments. Papa G's Channel did the poached egg in the microwave and it was successful. I think perhaps your water was too deep for the eggs whereas Papa G put his in a ramekin or something like that. I successfully recreated his poached egg!
How about cooking the white 30 seconds then adding the yolk. Never mind, I’ll try it. Been trying to poach an egg in the microwave for years. Best luck I’ve had was to pierce the yolk, cook in water with butter on 5 or 6 temperature. Otherwise the yolk explodes. I also stop between each 30 seconds.😊

If you want to cook whole eggs in the microwave, pierce the yolk with a wooden toothpick in a couple places. It helps with the pressure, but the short cook cycles are a wise choice too.

I have done it before and it worked great. I think putting two in at a time might have been what made it not work correctly.
lol. My cousin, who grew up out here, was like, “Uh… it’s ha-ROO-pah…” 😅😂😂😂
Love you guys’ content!!
We are from Chicago so that makes sense! 🤣
I don't know if it would be possible, but I would love to see a keto version of thumbprint cookies without using nut flours. Anyway, great video as always. Have a great week girls!
try Carbalose to make the cookies instead of nut flours.
I am excited to try the fried egg yolk on one of the delicious chaffles! I’m new to low-carb. Can someone tell a little more about pork rind panko, please? I wonder whether it’s simply ground up pork rinds, but panko makes it sounds quite specific. TIA!
Ketogenic woman had the egg noodle instruction
Love your videos, you girls are a HOOT!
Girls!
I'm so with you with the eggs!
I've eaten them once since my egg fast!!
Try the fried egg yolks, they’re delicious!! -Em
Try a slotted spoon for egg separation😊
What can I use I don’t eat pork?
You could try Parmesan/almond flour
Love you two
You guys crack me up!
❤️ thanks for watching Debbie
Have to try that fried egg yolks
I think Amazon has ramen seasoning you can buy without the noodles. I do miss ramen! I will have to try the hack.
9:33 - 9:44 😂👏🏼
Another great video from you all...Was disappointed they 'got' us with the clickbait and it wasn't the easiest noodles of all time😅 Egg drop soup is legit though👌🏼😋
I know, right! It was too good to be true 😢
Trust me.
Love watching 😍👍🏻👍🏻
I saw that "Resting Egg 🥚Face!" Love yall
I think he froze that egg to be able to pick it up like that. If you crack an egg and freeze it, that's how the yolk stays - soft but together.
Loved it
I have seen somebody use a small water bottle and squeeze it and put on yolk it sucks the yolk right into the bottle I’ve yet to try it myself.
When do you drink the LMNT? During a fast or eating window?
“See how they love each other ”
I think it’s from the New Testament (someone will connect me if wrong and I’ll stand corrected) but that’s what comes to mind when I see you two. I have a younger sister and we also look like twins.
Aww thanks AnnMarie ❤️❤️
Fried egg yolks look yummy. I wonder if you beat the yolks and whites together they would make better noodles. More boiling water? I might try! Thanks!
That’s a good idea! We will try it
Ok~ this was awesome!
You’ll love the fired egg yolks Sam! I know I’ll be making them often! :) -Em
Great experiments. Papa G's Channel did the poached egg in the microwave and it was successful. I think perhaps your water was too deep for the eggs whereas Papa G put his in a ramekin or something like that. I successfully recreated his poached egg!
Thank you...awesome hacks❤️
How about cooking the white 30 seconds then adding the yolk. Never mind, I’ll try it. Been trying to poach an egg in the microwave for years. Best luck I’ve had was to pierce the yolk, cook in water with butter on 5 or 6 temperature. Otherwise the yolk explodes. I also stop between each 30 seconds.😊
Hi y’all.... I make these kluski noodles without shrine just pour slowly in to broth or boiling water
