I make it with pork panko instead of almond flour - fewer carbs & a little more crunch. I added a slice of cheddar before I closed the lid yesterday. Yum! Definitely good for dipping in tomato soup. + bacon crumbles? Sounds even better.

I love most blue cheeses! I used to make little turnovers with puff pastry with a little Roquefort cheese inside. I love 'buffalo' wings with blue cheese dip. Dressing will do in a pinch, but sometimes there's too much vinegar in it to soothe the burn. The only 'blue' cheese that I haven't loved is Stilton.

Ok Ladies, I finally made a chaffle. No, I did not buy the Dash machine. I was in Lidl this Weeknd they had a 3-in-1 machine that will allow me to make the bagels you did as well. I made my first,didn't have almond flour (walked right past it because I thought I had another in the house) so I substituted with flax meal. Interestingly enough it gave it a fishy flavor. Not off putting but more like cod fish. Subtle but there. I like these enough to eat alone. I used some Everything seasoning, and it gave it a nice flavor. I can see eating these as a meal without all the extra since I have an almost normal size waffle maker. The taste of cod makes it taste almost like a fish cake,almost. I'm going to add some onion flakes and see how it tastes. Great recipe. I will be adventurous and try others.
You girls crack me up and yes, I do love Gorgonzola! I stuff green olives with it for my dirty martini, yummy! I like the soup idea, I am thinking French onion!
For our family we make a creamy tomato "soup" by adding Roas marinara and heavy cream. We then make a grilled cheese chaffle with a creamy mild cheddar. SO GOOD!
My fav chaffle recipe uses 1/2 c sharp cheddar, 1/4 c mozzarella and 1/4 c parmesan cheese along with the normal ingredients. Plus I add rosemary and fresh roasted garlic most of the time! Love love it but I also switch them up based on what I may pair them with.
I made your improved recipe with a slice of gouda on the bottom of the waffle maker then served them with your amazing Rao tomato soup and bacon onion jam. Very big hit with my non keto family.
I make these with only cream cheese and eggs… I don’t want to add gums to it or faux flower type stuff so this is how I make mine… not sure if they are called something different 🤷♀️ I put mixture in a 2 cup glass measuring cup and mix it with a immersion blender 😋 Can also add sweetener is you want them sweet… lots of possibilities with this mixture 😁

Yesterday I made a chaffle with regular old yellow cheddar from the grocery. I used your recipe but subbed one tbsp coconut flour for the almond flour. Left out the xantham gum because I didn't have any. Followed all your tips. It was soooooo delicious. Topped with avocado and everything bagel seasoning. Can't wait until I make another.

I love savory chaffles, the ones i make the most i use cream cheese in the batter instead of shredded cheese, i add diced jalapeños, minced onion and garlic, italian seasonings. When i cook them i put either grated old cheddar or monteray jack cheese or habenero cheese on the dash maker, I shred and sprinkle a bit on the bottom of the dash maker, they are sooooo good! I have non-ketoers who love them. Chaffles are so versatile and fun to experiment with and have fun 🌹
I ran out of mozzarella and used some Parmesan and the Chaffle wasn’t as crispy nor as dark in color. It was more of a cheesy color; but it was still really good. Now I see that I will have to buy the really large bag of mozzarella so I don’t run out again. Love your videos, Ladies!!

I had the (leftover) egg yolks in one and some bbq pulled pork in another and they were so good!!! And I can hardly wait to make tacos and cheesecakes and on and on!! Finger-food-able!! Have you tried adding flavours - thought i’d experiment with some sweetener and cinnamon - honestly you need to trythis - it was so christmassy 🤗 also tried some cake flavourings - almond esssence, vanilla and a butter caramel flavour - they were nice too 🤗

I finally made a chaffle today and it was YUM! Even my son liked it. I had this idea on how to make a keto style Monte Cristo so I pulled out my Bella Pastry Tart Maker that I bought in 2019 and had sat in the box since 2019, and put some chaffle mix in it. I then put some ham and a half a slice of Colby Jack on top of the chaffle mix and then put more chaffle mix on top of the ham and cheese. I was really just trying to cover the Colby Jack cheese to keep it from running out. After it was done, I let it cool down on a wire rack for a few minutes and then dusted it with powdered swerve and put some low sugar jam on top. it was YUMTASTIC! Thanks for sharing your recipe. Now that we know that Bella Pastry Tart Maker works, I might try to actually use it for that, LOL
@@ketotwins Usually, it is served with raspberry jam. I can't find any locally that I like so I just ordered the Skinny Girl jams from Amazon. I guess you could just make the sandwich with Keto bread dipped in egg batter but Keto bread seems to blow up my son's glucose and the fat head / cheese based dough do not. I am eyeing that stuffed waffle maker on Amazon. That might be even better for making stuffed chaffles.

Gorgonzola is in the blue Cheese family. So, yes it is pungent & creamy. Great in salads & to make dressings.

Montemore cheese is used at Mellow Mushroom on white based pizza. The “Holy Shiitake Pie” features it. Very mild and mellow. .

I don't think I've ever had gorganzola, but I do love Blue Cheese / Roquefort cheese. Not sure about it in a chaffle tho.

Have you tried adding flavours - thought i’d experiment with some sweetener and cinnamon - honestly you need to trythis - it was so christmassy 🤗 also tried some cake flavourings - almond esssence, vanilla and a butter caramel flavour - they were nice too 🤗
You two are hilarious! I'm a gorgonzola lover but I get it. It is definitely an acquired taste. I'm not sure I would want my whole house smelling like it.

Thanks for the idea of making cheese waffles as a replacement for Whisps and other cheese crackers as more often now they are not available, and if they are they are very expensive.

I finally made a chaffle today and it was YUM! Even my son liked it.
I had this idea on how to make a keto style Monte Cristo so I pulled out my Bella Pastry Tart Maker that I bought in 2019 and had sat in the box since 2019, and put some chaffle mix in it. I then put some ham and a half a slice of Colby Jack on top of the chaffle mix and then put more chaffle mix on top of the ham and cheese. I was really just trying to cover the Colby Jack cheese to keep it from running out. After it was done, I let it cool down on a wire rack for a few minutes and then dusted it with powdered swerve and put some low sugar jam on top. it was YUMTASTIC!

@@ketotwins Usually, it is served with raspberry jam. I can't find any locally that I like so I just ordered the Skinny Girl jams from Amazon. I guess you could just make the sandwich with Keto bread dipped in egg batter but Keto bread seems to blow up my son's glucose and the fat head / cheese based dough do not. I am eyeing that stuffed waffle maker on Amazon. That might be even better for making stuffed chaffles.
I don't think I'll be experimenting with any of these cheeses but I found your video very enjoyable. Thanks for the laugh.

I absolutely love Gorgonzola and any kind of blue cheese but thanks for saving me from trying in a Chaffle lol. I will keep it for salad and burgers. It is really good with strawberries on salad though. Yummy
