The Himalayan broke the path for afforadable middleweight ADV motorcycles.. Since its launch continues to lead the pack of other entrants in the space. The bike is undergoing constant upgrading in terms of refinement. Having said that, I think more can be done to squeeze more juice out the engine with the existing block. An aftermarket 462cc and 477cc bore engines are being offered making the bike more exciting than it already is.. Perhaps R.E should consider offering one of the above as an OEM equipment, along with better brakes, a slipper clutch and brighter electrical.

    HIMALAYAN:
    1. More engine capacity, More torque.
    XPulse 200:
    1. Less weight, more agile.
    2. Less engine capacity, more fuel mileage
    3. Half the price of Himalayan
2&3. More affordable, No need to take loans - Live more happily.
Both has good after sales, but Hero tends to have cost effective service.

2.5feet closely ,I Would chose the hero xpulse if offroading is my only go and mainly if I'm stuck on a budget,or else I would definitely choose the Himalaya for its offroading as well as touring capability.

It has serious braking issue mainly while driving down the hill

I have the xpulse and I have done 13000 kms on it...... The bike is good.... it has excellent hardware..... Suspension, chassis, braking are all excellent and the instrument console is an absolute gem......Wat I feel is a big let down is the Engine....... It has its limitations...... The Engine heats up quite a bit and this is in normal city and highway riding conditions forget abt off roads.... It badly needed some supplemental cooling like an Oil cooler..... M glad that hero has employed an oil cooler on a Bs6 xpulse which was badly needed.......This will definitely make the engine a bit more refined smooth and better equipped for off road riding and highways runs...... Engine has to be revved quite a bit to generate power while offloading....... so it has less speed, less forward air for cooling and high revs hence engine heats up like crazy infact I have feeling it will just burn out if kept on revving......I wish they had employed an oil cooler in the first edition itself....But overall the bike is good value for money.....

The fact that a bike almost half the price of Himalayan is being compared with Himalayan says how much value of money the xpulse is.

Just outta curiosity, what even is the relevance of the jump test?
I'm an XPulse owner and I don't see how the XPulse is superior or the Himalayan is inferior cus that test was lost by the Himalayan? I'm seeing an incredible amount for comments on here talking about the XPulse jumping farther like it's some deciding test 😅

what you did was purposefully let the xpulse win.still a good video thumbs up from me.

Wherever the Himalayan was ahead it was not by much. Where the X pulse was ahead, it was by a lot! Simple question - Which bike is more fun to ride? God, I’d take the X pulse any day. Have a superbly maintained Impulse myself, and it is running great, but my next bike is likely to be electric.
