I believe that it's actually in the testing phase but we'll have to wait just a little longer. It would be fun to see both the bikes with close power figures but before that we may actually see another xpulse probably around same cc but more improvements...
Pretty evident that the weight and size of the machine plays a part. RE is significantly more powerful and obviously it's faster on a straight line. Still with it's agility the Xpulse close the gap time to time. Xpulse have that dirt bike DNA which is unmatched by it's current rivals. But considering Himalayan is so much better for touring i feel like the small compromise in off road capability is justified. It's a really capable tourer which can do off road stuff when it's needed. Shed some weight is the only thing you've to do. As it's an RE reliability is always a question mark until it's proven. But seriously impressive machine at first glance 🙃
These guys were Not pushing it. If the himalayan would have been at full throttle, there wouldn't have been a video for us to watch. That specific section where these guys are, is in favour of the himalayan. The xpulse can leave it behind but in a different scenario, not here. I own an xpulse and would prefer one any day considering my usage. But a fact is a fact, my personal preference doesn't matter.
@@dhruvdhiman2398 Can't disagree mate. Because it was kind of a flat track rather than a technical trail. They could've pushed the Himalayan a bit harder. But then the weight comes into account as well where most people in the real world with their limited skill set won't be able to push a top heavy machine like himalayan that hard. But Xpulse is much more manageable for a wider audience. Unbelievably nimble. On a rocky technical trail Xpulse would smoke the himalayan. It's just for different purposes we can say rather than going for a direct comparison.
yup exactly. this was not even off roading. the riders were obviously good but the road was meh... re was always going to be the winner here. xpulse will shine in a proper offroad, where only the torque will be the key but the weight and pickup will be disadvantageous for himalayan which was just the opposite here.@@dhruvdhiman2398
If there were more twists and turns then race would be more neck to neck, but still thanks for the video and if possible use drone next time outcome will be spectacular .

I had two crazy trail sessions with the stock Himmy 450 this week, totally awestruck by its ability to handle any road so easily. Can't wait to do some weight reduction and add the knobbies on it. The only thing I am concerned is the tappet noise. Hats off to you man for showing us this kind of transformation with this machine.
It's exciting to witness the competition between two Indian brands, especially with the Himalayan leading the charge on both road and off-road terrains. Just got mine delivered yesterday, and its performance has left me utterly speechless. Even navigating through city streets, it impresses. Delighted to find it exceeding expectations, despite some negative reviews from certain bloggers.
While watching this Who else were blowing on to their mobile screen to clear away the dust coming at you 😅 kudos to the team for this amazing content 😁
It's all about weight. Xpulse 400 could be something amazing but there's a lot of weight that can be chopped off current offering itself. I'm loving my xpulse, really believe it's gonna be one of those models that's gonna age really well. We'll be looking at the good old times of xpulse few decades down the line
We need content like this. Not the same old sh*t talking about chassis, spects, engine, modes, ABS and all, the company tells them on their webpage. We need to know the capabilities of a bike, and I am quite surprised at what the Himi can do :)
Xpulse doing great job with half of the price against 450 Xpulse 40 kmpl on average 125 top speed ( not bad for dirtbike ) Best suspension Strong build quality Easy to repair Spare parts reasonable ( except monoshock )
The expulse rider was a pro who has won rallies. Also the bike is lighter and so can go braking late and catch up in the corners. If you watch closely every time the Himalayan was sliding the expulse was getting closer without braking. Then coming out of the slides the Himalayan was tearing away from the expulse. A good rider can make use of the lightweight of the expulse well.
Whenever i see your videos in this area, i am jealous. We only have a lot of hills around Bangalore, and finding such vast expanse of flat dirt area is almost non existent, at least close to Bangalore.
Sheer size of the engine and power pushes the RE, let the track get a bit more technical, we'll easily see the Xpulse shining. RE bikes are not ready to take a beating that happens in a dirt track.
I heard somewhere that hero has started testing of xpulse 400 which will probably based on Dakar rally model. If it's true then hero is going to be a neck pain for other ADV manufacturers. Proud of you Hero motocorp.
Upload a video of hardcore off roading that is where Xpulse is going to show upper hand.in these sprint races himalyan is having clear advantage of Xtra power furthermore surface is not worst enough.plus nice racing lines taken by both riders
This is footage video, not a race btwn Me & Abhishek Deka. Hence the gap isn't increasing btwn bikes. Notice me (Himalayan rider checking behind few times). Also Himalayan was being ridden by 100+ kgs on 25psi tyre pressure. While Abhishek on Xpulse is 65kgs top on off roading tyre pressure. Also we weren't suppose push the Himalayan fully or take chances to of a crash.
One extra data needed to conclude the comparison, the Himalayan ride was mind blowing, can he explain how much effort he made to maneuver the bike vs the xpulse, was it hard or easy for him!? Compared to the xpulse Just asking this because of the longer wheelbase of the Himalayan and less initial torque
Heavier adv bikes are ridden by throttle & brakes with my past GSA experiences, I don't have much issues adaptinf to heavier bike. Xpulse to Himalayan I say 15% more effort. 10% more only coz off the extra wide tank blocking agressive cornering.
Mind blowing.... No one make this type of videos❤️❤️ . only paper work specifications...😅 Waiting for xpulse 400 Ktm Adventure 390 Tvs Rtx 310 Maja aane wala hai 😊😊
Incredible footage and Comparison, The Himalayan is a more powerful of the two for obvious reasons, but the fact that a 200cc machine is able to compete on a level of this machine and a lot more economical in terms of service cost makes me happy about owning an Xpulse 4v. Cool stuff Happy and Safe Riding 🏜
Great video. Is there a chance that you'd compare this with the KTM Adv 390. The power figures would make this a more fair comparison in my opinion. I understand the thought behind putting it against the Xpulse, but KTM adv would be a proper match.
Don't know people with KTM 390 Adv. And I don't feel comfortable with asking people to come ride with me for videos. Too risky. Will figure something out.
I don't believe this is a fair comparison. The larger engine is the only thing keeping the Himalayan in front. For off-road a lighter weight machine and a lesser cc like the XPulse is much more fun and more importantly relaxing. The moment the heavier bike falls is when one knows the burden of picking it. Most people won't have the experience these riders have and the bike would probably fall several times. Take the Himalayan on off roads where there are rocks water etc and see how the XPulse shows it some serious capabilities.
After having dropped so much weight, Himi was not really able to break away from xpulse other than the straight lines. So much hype for having built 'the best off-road bike', it's actually just a good highway tourer by RE.
I don't think you understand. No matter how powerful and faster a bike is, on any type of bend or corner you will have to slow your bike down to avoid crashing. Here the Himi had to slow down at the bends to a certain speed as it was going a lot faster than the Xpulse. But, since the Xpulse was already going slower than the Himi he didn't need to slow down much for the bends, so it carried on with almost its usual speed at the bends.
Don’t forget whose powering the xpulse and don’t forget the hero team just bagged Dakar with their help. Hopefully soon we’ll have that technology and engine in the xpulse.
Although the video is great, i felt the riders could say something about the both bikes as they rided both of them,we saw and it could be nice to listen the comaparing, just my opinion ❤❤❤😮😮
Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like the Himalayan rider was sitting and riding 80% of the time, any potential issues with the standing up position or the massive tank maybe? The weight definitely shows! Awesome video and comparison though
