NB : not a Himalayan hatter, the truth that all know is that royal Enfield provide bad service in so many areas...
Himalayan is good. But Xpulse is more practical. All terrain bike with relatively low maintenance, low ownership cost, updated features with robust build quality. Awesome review. Kudos to HERO. Thanks Zigwheels.

When there is something exceptional to highlight, we do. We need to build a more substantive understanding before giving it flack/praise. In this case quality aspect of Himalayan has been addressed in the past. Thanks!

Initially I was all thinking about the idiot you hired for subtitles. But the final few moments changed it all. That perfect bike to take on all that INDIA has to offer!! It just changed the mood. Thanks guys
The Himalayan isn't that great on the highway. I have felt several times that the tires may have got punctured but it is because of the tyre profile that there a mild wobble which feels weird during rides especially on rough tar or concrete roads. The gearing is definitely tall for offroad and city which makes for a higher clutch usage. The bike could have been better with a shorter first(just like the low range on SUVs) and an additional sixth gear. However, the engine is very relaxed because of the low to mid range torque which helps maintain good speeds while touring. And the seating posture and suspension give a very comfortable ride. Where the himalayan really scores is the ability to go comfortably over a mix of different types of terrain, be it highways, forest roads, village broken roads, etc; making it a good tourer for long distances where one would encounter different road conditions. The bike isn't about going from point a to b quickly but rather to go comfortably from point a to b, and at the same time haul a decent amount of luggage for the journey as well! Haven't yet ridden the XPulse as a test ride bike is not available at the local dealer, but hope to ride it soon and maybe buy one too!
Finally it's not about the bike it's about the money. The more you spend, the better you get. Liked your video and subscribed. Good job, keep posting the great videos like this.

Thanks for putting in the effort to articulate it to this extent, guys. Much better content and perspectives than the other comparison vids out there so far on the same subject. Mostly fair comparison too. Just wish you'd have ridden it over longer distances, more varied terrain, and more challenging offroad sections (loose rock surfaces, sand, water crossings, pockmarked roads, hilly trails etc) for a few days and come to your conclusions. I disagree with the bit about xpulse being at best a 2nd bike in the garage. Most people who'd buy an xpulse probably wouldn't give a shit about having a 2nd bike or 3rd bike. I mean, that's what a dual sport is for isn't it... to avoid the hassles of owning multiple specialized bikes? If I didn't own an Impulse, I'd still pick the Xpulse over the Himalayan even if it means a tad slower highway speeds because I wouldn't buy the bike just to ride the highway in the first place. And IMO, the xpulse is far ahead in terms of overall usability compared to the Himalayan simply because of the lower weight. But I do get the easy natured appeal of the Himalayan. Easy to ride on the road, easy to tractor off the road, just as long as things don't get tricky. And yeah, just the inclusion of a 6th gear and an easy 100-110 kmph cruising capability would have hit the value proposition out to space. It should have been a no brainer decision for Hero. I'm sure they could have cut costs elsewhere like the stupid looking luggage rack. I just don't understand manufacturers. My Suzuki 150 cc from 2010 has a 6th gear and does easy cruising at 90-100 kmph all day (It's overengineered for what it's supposed to be and takes a fair bit of offroad bashing too for being a roadbike).
A perfect comparison made to understand the bikes.. Your presentation in this video was touchy, you felt the soul of the bikes and i could witness it.. Saw many other videos on the comparo between these two bikes, but yours is a stand out and nothing can come close to yours.. even if the manufacturers make one! Great going guys!!

Maybe RE is holding the 650 Himalayan just to rub chillies in Bajaj's eyes for KTM 390 Adventure. And maybe they are holding on to 390 Adventure just for 650 Himalayan, but that would make a joke itself.

My Suzuki 150 cc from 2010 has a 6th gear and does easy cruising at 90-100 kmph all day (It's overengineered for what it's supposed to be and takes a fair bit of offroad bashing too for being a roadbike).
where near pune did you go for off-roading ?? location please
This was at Kamshet. Shall we ride!? - KS
@@zigwheels thanks sir....👍🤘
Super... Review 😘
I seen fully and enjoyed in the reviews
You really know how to compare bikes ,i mean good presntation.enjoyed more than ever
If Xpulse had atleast 300cc plus engine it would've smoked Himalayan.
But it doesnt.
Xpulse might struggle with luggages and stuffs, it’s more like dual sport rather adventure
So Himalayan is good On the Road...😂🤣😂 Wrong name given. they should have named it NH-28 or something
You guys forgot to take it in water ! See how Himalayan Does
Melvinson haha haha
Like video nice chemistry of both of u intresting video this time u really did a fabulous job pls continue for same platform
Xpulse without any doubt better bike. RE Himalayan is not reliable breaks frequently
one of the best comparison video i have ever seen ..!!! 😊😊
X pulse with a old karizma r engine with fuel injection making around 22 to 24 bhp could have killed the competitions
Honda had a adventure bike based on same engine as Karizma ( CRF230F). Had Hero built that bike 4 years ago, it could have killed Himalayan!
Another missed opportunity was Mahindra Mojo Adventure edition. Mahindra talked about an adventure bike and then dropped it.
What a wonderfull video, u have just explained d same tat i felt while riding both the bikes... review was just awesome. U have covered every bit f it.. 🔥..
Maybe RE is holding the 650 Himalayan just to rub chillies in Bajaj's eyes for KTM 390 Adventure.
And maybe they are holding on to 390 Adventure just for 650 Himalayan, but that would make a joke itself.
Deadlock.

Appreciate it sir! 🙏 Thank you!
Himalayan reliability is doubtful till date, still it's a nightmare for some owner
You guys do the best comparison every time. Thank you always and advance
Thats why they say "Haathi mat paalo"🤣🤣😂😂
Himalayan 32Nm torque and exhaust note cannot be compared to any but I personally feel the suspension of xpulse is better than Himalayan. And I have ridden both the bikes today.Zigwheels won my heart for their honesty.Dino n bulu are also great motorcyclist.
Hati kuthasa bahatar hai 💪💪💪😜😂
Very good comparison
By the way your next comparison should be between xpulde v4 vs Honda XR 190L
7:42 I know exactly what he's talking about!!
One of the best compilation!! Shots are look like Flim, Keep Rocking Guys!!
Hope Xpulse doesn't brake it's chassis like the worthless Himalayan junk.
Solid! Best comparison vid. 👍👍👍👌👌
