  • So if you know who Stephen Chow is, you've probably already seen Kung-fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer. These videos I put together are scenes from his movies from the 90's only. The best available source for the videos were not always good quality. And I cleaned up the subs a bit but don't speak any Cantonese so they may be off. Hope you enjoy!
Part 1 includes 11 scenes from the movies:
    Love on Delivery
    From Beijing with Love
    Fight Back to School
    Forbidden City Cop
    PART 2: • Stephen Chow's Funny S...
    PART 3: • Stephen Chow's Funny S...
    PART 4: • Stephen Chow's Funny S...

@@TheEminalan because being plagued by individualism makes it hard to realize that a house divided cannot stand. sometimes you gotta look at the bigger picture, not just oneself, not just tomorrow. HK is the legacy of the Middle Kingdom, of the Hua people, not the opium wars, unequal treaties and imperialism. people of HK should be proud of their surnames, their genes, their culture, their language, their traditional arts, music, architecture, all of which are Chinese. sure the west and their ideals dominate the world right now, and it is easy to feel you are now superior with more money. but without a strong united China everyone suffers in the long run.
you think it is weird that people from China always force their opinions on people from HK? do you realize that your current "identity" was caused by an act of force by British warships? and do you also realize that there are many identities and subcultures in China? even the Han ethnicity is vague and includes many diverse people. and finally get some basic understanding in history and politics. the current China is under a very young government, and has/had lots of competitors and enemies that would love to see the entire east Asia region weakened. as any new government in such a condition would, China enacts lots of censorships and control. and as the new government's legitimacy and foothold becomes more stable, naturally it would relax their control to please their citizens increasing demand as their quality of life improves. don't be a pawn like Taiwan. peace.

My first exposure of him was from Shaolin Soccer, and that somewhat encouraged me to play football, well everybody else was in the cricket so it was just me and my football, another story. The fact that if you remove the kung fu from his movies(you can't and don't need to) they'd still be watchable, they even convey emotions that can even go as a drama movies you'd still never forget. Like, In Shaolin Soccer, there was underrated love story, transformation, Betrayal, message of hard and victory. In King fu Hustle there was Again underrated love story, survival, reality of life in a fun way, and fulfilling prophecy, and that emotional song that every time drags me back in the trance and childhood. In, CJ7 without alien, it was life and reality of the poor family, importance of life, education and status that you have bring up no matter whatever status you're living in, miracle, and understanding of knowing there are no shortcuts to achieve anything, and offcourse Sunny by Boney M.
That man makes movies so emotionally no matter whatever he's presenting in even the scene, it goes straight down your heart.
And now we wanna know when King fu Hustle 2 is coming, i grew up waiting for that movie...
