If they ever make an mgs movie, David should have EVERY right to play snake. I reckon most fans would love the voice more than a true accurate appearance.
Hayter needs to suck it up and play MGSV just once so he can get on the same page as the rest of the fans. I think he may have recently sometime in 2023 but I'm not sure. Even someone like me who's a huge fan of Hayter and agreed that replacing him was a terrible idea, I can still respect Sutherland's performance and MGSV itself for what it is. Kojima wanted someone who sounded like a mix of Hayter's personality from MGS3 and PW combined with Richard Doyle's take on an old Big Boss in MGS4's final scene which made sense to me. Sutherland's voice fit the bill perfectly as the mix of those two, but he wasn't worth it given the budget imo. Konami failed to see how special the project was and shut it down instead of spending a little more time and money. Forget Kojima's VA decisions, try to appreciate the game/art for what it is. It was groundbreaking. The one-shot camera angle cutscenes were impressive, especially the motherbase battle in GZ. MGSV will withstand the test of time, but recognize that Konami cut the project short when it clearly wasn't finished. It was a truly unique game, but so many plot lines were meant to resolve that we'll never get to see, and I'm not just talking about mission 51. There was so much story left to tell. Given all the 1984/brave new world themes in the game, it's kind of fitting that the ending was cut short isn't it? Flushed down the memory hole. What is this Act 3 you speak of? There is no act 3, there never was and never will be. MGSV only consists of 2 acts, it has always consisted of 2 acts. (We all know that's not true, but we must accept it as the truth). But seriously, if we aren't going to get an Act3 of MGSV, then Konami should at least bring us a Metal Gear 1+2 remake that bridges the gap between MGSV and MGS1 better.
