Oh man I remember having barely any clue how to play Rogue Trip but still playing it alot because of the whacky character designs and the weird take on a post apocalypse setting. Can't wait to see you experience Vigilante 8, I remember really loving how interactable the maps were especially the rideable ski lift in the snow map.
These games were fun to play on the playstation 1. I don't know they don't make them anymore and release terrible live service games when will studios realize live service isn't the way to go...
Rogue Trip also uses... LINK CABLE! If you have TWO TV:s, TWO PS1:s and TWO copies of Rogue Trip, you could play multiplayer without getting annoyed for split screen being so small. Weird idea. Twisted Metal 3 and Destruction Derby 1 used this too. Play Destruction Derby 1 and 2. It's not like TM, but it's way more like FlatOut.
@@BlooTeg Idk how old are you, Im 27 and TM2 for the PS1 was completely amazing, starting from Carmageddon, this car combat thing was just wild, it pushed the ethic boundaries, even playing TM Black a bit older was still something refreshing, going full dark and violent.
Roadkill for the PS2 is another vehicle combat game you might like. It's like GTA meets twisted metal, you can't get out of your car, but there are dozens of different types to unlock. Plus the open world gameplay across three different cities, a cheesy fun story, random tornadoes, plenty of collectibles, and a pretty decent soundtrack makes for some good times. Talking about this makes me want to dust off my old ps2 and give this game another go.
Another player mentioned it already but you should definitely check out "Battle Tanks" as it has good gameplay and actually some incredible lore and story which is presented well. I will also recommend LAPD:Future Cop. It's probably even better and a game that you and your audience would both enjoy!
I spent so many hours in Rogue Trip as a kid, it took me forever to find out how to do things like making a shield because its never explained in the game. I think it was hidden in the manual.
I got some game recommendations for videos, Could you look into Hot Wheels Beat That! and Wheelspin (wii exclusive game) They were games I played back on the Wii ages ago and enjoyed, would love to see videos on em by you
I still play Vigilante 8 Second Offense to this day on the ReDream emulator. Love that game, hope you review it in the future. Also really enjoyed playing this game when I was a kid as well.
:) Someone made clone of Critical Depth but instead underwater with submarines its on the top of water with ships. Dead In The Water, thats name of game.
Fun fact: In Twisted Metal ps3 there are some cars from rogue trip, like Schizomanic who is called meat wagon, yeah like that character, the rat man one an also theres a weapon you can drive like in rogue trip.
Critical Depth I think could work if it was remade. I feel like the biggest issues it had were due to the hardware and also something I like to call "AI Humping"
I remember playing one as a kid on the PS2! I don't remember basically anything about it, just that it had split-screen (if I'm even thinking of the right game)

This is more of dumb joke and game references but… AVALANCHE: an ecoterrorist organization that’s trying to stop deep sea oil drilling around the world by any means necessary, believing that drilling for oil is killing the earth’s life force Ending: without oil, the earth has been altered in a way that society has gone in a much different direction. AVALANCHE continues their activities, but many members are killed when they blow up a hydrogen plant, thinking it to be an oil refinery. The rest of AVALANCHE is slowly hunted down and locked away The Umbrella Corporation: a defunct pharmaceutical company seeking to restore itself after collapsing in 2003 after “accidentally” causing the destruction of Racoon City. The guis of a pharmaceutical company is to hide their true intentions, heavy genetic engineering experiments on human subjects. They wish to know the effect of the pods on organic life Ending: the Umbrella Corporation is given godlike control over biological life, but not the knowledge to use it properly. Unable to control the power, all life on earth is reverted to primordial sludge over the course of a few days, restarting life as we know it The UNSC: upon noticing the Ruticulons, the United Nations Space Command wishes to recover the alien artifacts, in order to reverse engineer starships. Ending: with the power that their new starships bring, the UNSC becomes a corrupt, militarist, colonial conqueror of the galaxy, having incredible disregard for human rights, and eventually coming into conflict with a religious union of aliens known as the Covenant, leading to a war that looses billions of lives G-Police: short for Government Police, the G-Police are a heavily militarized branch of Interpol. Upon noticing the massive militaristic confrontations in the worlds oceans, the G-Police have been dispatched to deal with the belligerents and clear the shipping lanes of hostile submarines. Ending: in order for there to be no crime, there must be no free will. All of humanity becomes machine like, cold, calculating, uncaring. AI machines programmed based off old human emotions are forced to leave the earth as it becomes a dystopian nightmare. Xios: a Finnish weapons manufacturer. Xios seeks to use the pods to create cyborg soldiers, and do it fast due to increasing pressure from the Russian border, not for profit, but to scare Russia away. Ending: everyone associated with Xios is turned into a cyborg, unable to eat normally, unable to feel pain or a sense or touch, all seeing the world through thermal vision. The causes nearly the entirety of Xios to go insane, leading to a mass sewer slide event Triakis: an Australian rival of Xios, Triakis wants to use the pods to create lightweight and super fast hover tanks, and is willing to use any random technology they’ve patented to get there Ending: in one of those rare good endings, Triakis employee Pierre Belmondo is blessed with the knowledge of how to build light based anti-gravity engines. Belmont would go to FEUGR, before eventually founding the company AG-Systems, which would revolutionize transportation for the world. G.I. Joe: an elite anti-terror unit filled with misfits, G.I. Joe does whatever the pentagon wants, such as getting involved in the fight for the pods once battles started taking place in American waters Ending: the United States of America becomes a near unstoppable force, becoming the sole ruling power of the world, with all other nations in its iron fist. Eventually, the terrorist grouping Cobra manages to ignite American nuclear devices in American soil, destroying the US, but freeing the world Cobra: a cult-like terrorist organization taking inspiration from the ancient Cobrala warriors, Cobra seeks to use the pods to make the worlds leaders bow to them Ending: Cobra Commander gets his wish to the ruler of the world, as if you are the last man on earth, by default that makes you the world’s ruler. Cobra commander is left to wander the earth alone as nature reclaims cities and the mementoes of civilization begin to crumble away, reflecting on what really was the point of ruling world Raven: a mysterious mercenary. Humanity becomes much more advanced and terrorists stalk city streams with giant robots, but Raven is happy, because they get to be a hired gun that pilots a giant robot Black Mesa Aperture Joint Venture: a union of two American scientific laboratories, Black Mesa Aperture wants to see what kind of practical applications the pods have. Anything for science Ending: instead of wishing for anything, Black Mesa Aperture simply asks to keep the pods, to which the Ruticulons reluctantly accept. Using the technology, Aperture creates portal technology, but they also create an A.G.I. Called GlaDOS, which goes rogue and kills every human employee at the portal testing site. Always love your videos man. I get pumped every time you upload a new vid. You should check out the starsky and hutch game on xbox/ps2, its technically a car combat game
One thing I know about the Vigilante 8 games is that they also have multiple endings, but to don’t think they’re as epic or twisted as anything out of Twisted Metal
Oh man, I used to be pretty good at Rogue Trip, I played it a bunch in 2-player split-screen semi co-op with a friend. I can't say I remember how to do the weapon upgrading, but I remember you could unlock a UFO and Mr.Big's giant mecha as a playable vehicle after completing the game.
Nice to see you finally do Critical Depth! I couldn't remember much about it except that it was more difficult than the other Single Trac games. Rogue Trip I remember well for being an awful disappointment. That stupid mountain level still haunts me. While you're doing Single Trac games, maybe you can try Jet Moto 1 & 2? I dunno if there's much nostalgia or interest for that series, but at the time it grabbed me for its "realism" with real brand sponsors and signage, and the fact you could lean in to your bike for speed. You control yaw, pitch and roll, and it all comes into play in the physics. I also remember being surprised by the sense of scale in some of the maps. The third game got too fast to control tho, I think that's when it switched to 989 Studios. I also owned both Vigilante 8 games so I'm good either direction you go. Just be prepared for noisy gameplay in that series. Maybe it's because I often played it on split screen but I remember those games being a barrage of sound effects. But they were great and their maps offered a lot of interaction. Please ignore the XBOX 360 port tho... its new, photo-traced vector art and budget presentation sucked all the soul personality out of the game. Anyway, I hope you unlock the Luxo Saucer!
@@BlooTeg Hey btw, I just finished to watch the video and it's amazing as always. Critical Depth looks amazing! (funny thing, I have Thalassophobia and I know the feeling of claustrophobia it gives, even watching it in the video it's unsettling) All these videos of yours makes me want to buy a Playstation and try them for myself
It does look better than Twisted Metal 2. You're talking about it's not serious enough.. It's not supposed to be taken seriously lol. That's the point...
To upgrade weapon, I think you had to fire the weapon while in the gate for it to work. It's been 20+ years since I have played this but that still seems to be an instinct I have
I found the channel about four or five days ago, and since then I’ve just watched all of your content! You have great editing, an upbeat tempo in your voice that doesn’t bore me to death, and a character that’s like Sonic, but like a Squirrel-Beaver. Anyways, I threw you a SuS and a request; Interstate ‘76 & ‘82 for the PC. They were the precursor to Vigilante 8, and the storyline from those take off from I’76 & I’82. Also, maybe Carmageddon? It’s not QUITE like TM, but more like a Demolition Derby with power-ups and pedestrian squishing. Keep up the good stuff bud!
@@mutantlavalampderg412 While I will agree about C1 being a great game, I’d argue to say C2 is the best in the series. The incredible damage model, the literal thousands of third-party mods and total conversions, the numerous graphical and QoL updates over the years from said modders. Also, I do agree TDR2K is a very hit or miss game as well. You either like it, you don’t.
You have once again unlocked a core memory....thank you!
Going back for some of these and actually liking one of these a lot is a special feeling for sure

will definitely look into it! I heard the name of the second one, but I don't think I've ever played it
Please try Carmageddon for the PSX! Was a pretty nice game to play honestly
definitely wanna make some videos on the series!
Um jogo interessante desse genero para tu fazer uma review é o red asphalt, que é conhecido na europa como rock roll rancing 2.
com certeza quero fazer um video sobre ele e o original de SNES!
Man, that boss submarine pushing you out of the map is gold😅
right?? I think I found an out of bounds glitch
Wow eu achei esse vídeo muito legal depois vc planeja fazer uma "review" do vigilante 8?
com certeza!
@@BlooTeg obrigada :]
the true twisted metal 3
Twisted metal under the sea
Oh man, I used to be pretty good at Rogue Trip, I played it a bunch in 2-player split-screen semi co-op with a friend. I can't say I remember how to do the weapon upgrading, but I remember you could unlock a UFO and Mr.Big's giant mecha as a playable vehicle after completing the game.
Use the UFO to fly past the black buildings in the last level and you can go out of bounds its a fuckin trip
@@worsethanhitlerpt.2539 Yep, I remember that too.
EHHHHH YOU DID ONE I RECOMMENDED.
still no muppet racing mania 😐
will get to it! and m&m racing or whatever
@@BlooTeg oooof whoever recommended that one wants you to suffer lol. M&M is AWFUL
Would definitely love to see a video on Vigilante 8.
Soon!
Goofy ahhhh game
Can you try downhill domination it's made by the same guys who made twisted metal black
definitely! a lot of people have been asking for that one!
@@BlooTeg that's really good
Could you look into War of the Monsters? It's PS2, not sure if that matters
yes! I've been wanting to try it for a long time now!
@@BlooTeg Cool! Really like the selection of games you go through, there's so many I've never played.
Hey, I'm first! lol
Second!
@@BlooTeg Hey btw, I just finished to watch the video and it's amazing as always. Critical Depth looks amazing! (funny thing, I have Thalassophobia and I know the feeling of claustrophobia it gives, even watching it in the video it's unsettling)
All these videos of yours makes me want to buy a Playstation and try them for myself
Do a video about the Atlantis video game for ps1
I actually have it in my to-play list, I have a lot of nostalgia for it for a weird reason, I'll get to it for sure
@@BlooTeg Me too I used to play it when I was a kid. I honestly don't remember the game much but I remember I spend hours playing it
I love how much you are growing
thank you! it's been amazing, really!
Oh my god that intro for critical depth haha too good
dude, right?
I own both games and love both I just wish I could unlock the secret characters in critical depth
Rouge trip has funny endings
It does look better than Twisted Metal 2. You're talking about it's not serious enough.. It's not supposed to be taken seriously lol. That's the point...
this is a bit old... I said the game isn't serious enough?
car go brrr
I thought they went vroom
Nice more car combat talk. Love that shit so much
To upgrade weapon, I think you had to fire the weapon while in the gate for it to work.
It's been 20+ years since I have played this but that still seems to be an instinct I have
now that makes me feel stupid
7:41 bro, those are my actual initials💀
LUL
nice
very nice
Yesss, good that you have done a video about these.
Great video. The soundtrack of critical depth reminded me of command and conquer
another series I gotta get into... so many games
I had critical depth as a kid I gotta admit it's not as good as I remember I only play it out of nostalgia nowadays
Keep up the good stuff bud!
thank you so much! I'll make sure to check interstate! look's interesting!
Carmageddon 1 is great 2 has the horrible side missions all games that era had, tdr 2000 i wouldnt reccommend, max damage is great
@@mutantlavalampderg412 While I will agree about C1 being a great game, I’d argue to say C2 is the best in the series. The incredible damage model, the literal thousands of third-party mods and total conversions, the numerous graphical and QoL updates over the years from said modders. Also, I do agree TDR2K is a very hit or miss game as well. You either like it, you don’t.
What would you call games that are like Twisted Metal? I've heard of Rougelikes and MetroidVanias, but a Metallike? Twistedlike?
I usually call them "games like Twisted Metal" but Twistedlike is probably better
LET'S GOOOOOO
