There used to be a gamemode like that - I think it was called fortress wars or something? In which each team would be able to spend money setting up walls and such as the round progressed. It was a capture the intel mode, but the placed terrain was also destructible so you didnt just get the intel wrapped in a block of concrete.
I would absolutely love this. Imagine two 6s teams or heck 2 teams of 4 Duke it out and they have to strategize what to do. Hopefully they aren't too meta and purely functional otherwise it'd be boring.
A 3v3 where a losing team has 5 minutes to go into a private discord channel and talk ideas and the one they choose is added. Just enough time for ideas to be had but not long enough for them to be well thought out
Trajectory of an MGEdit episode: - Ordinary TF2 gameplay, Zenith usually wins early 1v1s - Dumbass plans and weird wipeout obstacles begin appearing, heavy use of jank textures, rotation, teleport/launch/death triggers, or projectile launchers - One player (almost always Zenith) invents an 'instakill opponent' strategy - Player with instakill button becomes overwhelmed with hubris and, like in a greek tragedy of old, is punished by god for their ways: episode 1, zenith falling behind and falling for his own comical amount of push triggers because he can't remember them all; episode 2, zenith softlocking himself and ending up trapped in heaven; episode 3, thewhat getting rekt by the same bumpercar button he's been abusing against zenith the whole game
This would be if it wasn't for the constant never-ending annoying-as-sh*t Yoda impressions, because apparently the comedic law of diminishing returns doesn't exist in the minds of these people. If it wasn't for that one thing, this would instantly be one of the greatest series of all time for me.
I love that over time they shift from "how can I make this map more slanted in my favor" to "what's the funniest thing I could change about this map". I'd love to see a tag team version of this so we have a fresh set of people stuck in this mess next time.
55:07 Ultimate Chicken Horse just had a sequel announced where everyone is in a bikeand its about making bike tracts, you NEED to now make one of these videos solely about bumper cars.
There was a small hope at 2:38 that he was going to say "my first change is make that docks rotate" again and made myself laugh at it, thinking about them going through that on this map
25:35 - "Realistic pirate warfare". Ah yes, I remember when Davy Jones and Blackbeard fought in the battle of the island with a speeding 1950s train and giant scum ball of pain rotating around it.
This is easily my favorite of the three so far. Every single addition just made the map funnier, and I had to take a break several times so I could catch my breath from laughing so hard!
This is series is legitimately amazing. I love how it showcases a (tiny) bit of the map creation process, and let's people be creative both in the creation of the map and the strategies developed to overcome obstacles from the stuff added. They're also funny lol

In terms of names, Ultimate Fortress Horse as you suggested isn't a bad idea at all. It's straight-forward and gets the point across what the concept is, and it's a fun name for a playlist as well as being memorable. But if you're looking for something punchier and shorter, maybe Madaptation, since the maps are so maddening and the players need to adapt. i tried to incorporate 'map' into the pun of a name but couldn't make it work. And, unrelated to the naming but related to the video- awesome video, awesome job with the maps, and truly, Cyber is just built different.
I'm loving these fun and creative TF2 gameplay videos you make with your friends! It's been so much fun just watching and even re-watching all the Hide and Seek, FNAF, and even the UCH-inspired mode.
This was the best episode yet. Nobody got too salty even towards the end, Zenith popped off with those pipes & rockets, TheWhat had incredible map additions, the strats were mostly fair (although placing sentries near the capture point should be disallowed), and the memes were hilarious. The sweeper sending players to hell and the train were my two favourite additions this time, and the heavy cannon deserves an honourable mention despite doing absolutely nothing
I like to think that every time you do this video after the first one the mercenaries you play as are just like “oh my fucking god dude COME ON NOT THIS AGAIN” which is why sniper and heavy are just listening to the mercenaries talk about what the fuck happened in the map when they come back
