Nice project but instead of using cardboard in the rotor which is weak, flammable, hard to work with, etc. Consider using a solid piece of light weight wood. Also, if you can't find alluminum like that laying around you can use copper from a pipe fitting which is a better conductor and less likely to break under stress. Another thing is the metal used for the rotor itself should be filed smooth for cosmetics as well as preventing damage to the motor itself. Finally, try using number 2 pencil lead for contact brushes as the graphite is a type of lubricant that would increase motor speed, it would also increase efficiency and reduce heat. There you guys go lol
If you're talking about that wire that he wrapped the cardboard with .... its copper (or bronze as far as i. Know And for the metal in the bottom of the motor i think its iron to enhance the strengh of the magnetic field
Their should only be one wire in your motor, if your making a standard brushed DC motor, which would be considered a series arrangement. And yes, because one contact is being used for the North end of the electromagnet and the other for the South end.
I am surely going to make it some day
I am a student I made it and used for my project I got 1st prize so l like this nice

Bro this is 1000% work working and very nice idea
Very good nice make to motar
Nice motor
You are so intelligent decide yes very good
All that best
When a current carrying conductor is placed in an external magnetic field it experiences a force
This is principle of DC motor and generator
Laikn yeah to bataya hi nhi k wire kese kese roll krne hai yeah hi main part tha jo apne bataya hi nhi
not external :(

Nice touch with the graphite brushes. I mostly just work with or build brushless motors these days.
This motor is god and it's a fine motor

Wow!! That's really awesome, thanks for your hard work :)
Nice and super
Fun build, very creative. However, there is a reason motor housings are made of metal. Be careful with this as it’s a fire hazard.
i liked!
Sir, which metal that you used??
If you're talking about that wire that he wrapped the cardboard with .... its copper (or bronze as far as i. Know
And for the metal in the bottom of the motor i think its iron to enhance the strengh of the magnetic field
Cable de cobre
Wow awesome

okay quick question: are the wires wired parallel or series? And is it correct that only two of the metal plates conduct electricity at a time?
Their should only be one wire in your motor, if your making a standard brushed DC motor, which would be considered a series arrangement. And yes, because one contact is being used for the North end of the electromagnet and the other for the South end.
😅
