- GOOD EVENING axolots it seems we meet again.
Today I bring to you my roots, my soul, my very stereotyped personality trait. Rice.
We've all tried rice before (I hope) but this rice will the ricest of all rice. It contains all the love and support my asian ancestors have given me, all compacted into a little bowl.
In this episode we venture into how far an introvert can go in order to avoid human interaction with strangers for your daily #entertainment . ALSO NOTICE HOW INSTEAD OF WAITING LIKE 16 WEEKS you only had to wait 10 this time? Damn I am popping off fr (college is sucking the soul out of me)

I have some food tips as someone who started living alone a couple years ago!! my biggest tip is to think of every dinner as carb + protein + vegetable (frozen is great bc produce spoils so fast and I never pay close enough attention to it) so like my easiest combo is rice or noodles + egg + spinach or broccoli etc. I also sometimes make like 3 servings of food at once then don't have to think about dinner for a few days. Good luck with your journey toward adulting!

its cool how the process of making rice is so different from what my desi household does, we use those loud pressure cookers which always scare the shit out of me💀

As someone who literally just moved into uni and is freaking terrified of interacting with roommates (and even more terrified of cooking Infront of them!) this is genuinely the most calming thing I've seen this whole time. Imagine you're cooking 4 cups of rice
When adding water, put 4 cups of water and then add 1/2 of the cup
Same thing for any amount, 5 cups of rice means 5 cups of water and a half
In your case, you put 1/2 cup of rice
Fill the whole cup with water and put it in, that's it
(I have no idea how to explain)

I'd say that too but I've eaten kd without the cheese sauce cuz I lost it.
I've eaten plain tofu as a meal before... As well as cottage cheese... Another time was a bowl of egg whites with just salt and pepper... And after coming to college my saddest was probably a can of sardines with mustard and mayo and nothing else because I did not have any biscuits or bread in my room 🥲
We have a mess subscription too in our hostels and when I came here I couldn't find ANY fruit or vegetable (that wasn't cooked to unrecognisable in a curry) that wasn't the banana they served in breakfast or cucumber they called "salad" at lunch and dinner. And EVERYTHING had potato in it. I am not used to eating potato that frequently. And like, virtually 90% of the meals were just carbs and my body is kinda intolerant to carbs. And I HATE bananas. I legit almost cried with happiness when I found out they sell more varieties of fruit right outside campus. When I went home for vacation I went to the mall and saw their salad bar with all the good veggies and fruits and almost cried there too 🥲

0:40 yesterday i also got a haircut!! But they cut too much. My hair was 15 cm over my shoulder, i asked her to only cut like 5 cm. Guess what she did? She CUT 15CMMM so now i have shoulder lenght hair.
