Australian here: to make the best hot milo, put in 3tsp of milo into 1/4th mug and mix until it's a foam then add more milk and 1 more tsp on top. Microwave until warm-hot and then mix again. Add another tsp if desired.

heres my hot choclate recipe if it helps:
1: 4 heaped spoons of hot chocolate powder
2:add hot water to like 1/3 of the cup
3: stir until no lumps
4: ad a bit more hotwater
5: add like 1/4 of the cup of milk
6: end with salted caramel syrup (optional)
i can tell she's pretty new to the "staying up late at night and making something in the kitchen quietly" bcuz people who do that regularly are trained in the arts of stealthy midnight snack-making.

Edit: For new comers as this was from 3 months ago , I meant that if you drink too much milk, it may weaken your bones. Hence why i said it has the ABILITY. I also wonder if it varies by race since Europeans for example have the highest tolerance to lactose, while the majority of my people are intolerant to lactose.

You weren't lied too. We have special mixes with chocolate, sugar, and other stuff to make it taste good. Also we tend to heat the milk on the stove.

But sadly I had about 10 kilograms extra on my back, so my ankle wasn't happy. Even after I could semi-walk, my ankle kept clicking for months. Oooh. Worst injury I've gotten. A: Fresh milk should not smell bad. If it smells bad/fUnKy, it's almost certainly gone bad.
B: when milk goes bad it turns sour due to bacteria in the milk producing acids.

Ive actually drinked cocoa my whole life for breakfast and i can tell you a way my mom makes it. You put as much sugar as you want and 1-2 tea spoons of cocoa. Pour a little bit of milk and stir it well so there are no grains of sugar or cocoa powder. Pour more milk and heat up until it starts making bubbles. Thats way 1.
Way 2 is by heating up water and adding as much desired sugar and about 1-2 tea spoons of cocoa powder (again) into a mug. Add a bit of water and stir it very well again, then add a bit of milk but the kind that comes in small packaging and is used for coffee (its kind of thicker than usual milk but i forgot the name of it) Dont add too much, just a little, then add water and stir a few times with a spoon.

As someone who also Despice's Milk. How I make Hot chocolate is I Put the Powder, Hot water, You can do it just like that. But I do add slight milk to make it less hot. Don't heat up the milk this time.
