Everything inside this scene is perfectly portraying the reflect of so many people in our society, Nate represents the young kid who is suffering from PSTD after seeing his dad doing things he should've never see. Nate lost his innocence but he also lost his father figure and he had to face a man who could only see like a predactor sexual and someone who cheat on his mother, and even if he tries to deny the reality, the pain is still there and more he let the pain growing up inside his body by ignoring it and not being help but he knows he can't talk because he could ruin his family's life so he have to keep a secret who destroy him, and unfortunately when you don't solve a problem there are always consequences who happen which explain (not excuse) his violence, his addiction sexual. The fact he is breaking his mirrors it's because he is struggling on the fact he tries to not be like his dad so he is confronting himself, Nate is probably guilty from his bad actions but the first responsible is his dad and it's also why he is victim too.. We also feel Nate's pain because he is expressing it with his anger and we have to handle with a situation we aren't used to confront this is why watching this provoke a lot of anxiety issues. Do you go to a specialist to help you with these attacks? Are they frequent? Sorry if I'm asking to much I'm just curious. Do they mainly happen when you have a lot of kept up emotion??
@@stellar.3381 it's ok, yes it happens when you keep too much in and or with confrontations when the other person doesn't understand you or tries to prove his point over you instead of understanding what you're going through or what you feeling or getting too stressed about something and people around you don't see to care ,these are all just fuel for an anger attack and when i get to that stage i go to my room or outside to be alone until i cool off because at that point anger will overshadow your since of right and wrong and your blood will start pumping fast and your entire body feels like it going to explode and things can get physical pretty easy, boxing and sports that use physical energy will reduce it and help control it as you progress through the year , it can be cured but it takes years of self control unlike normal people.
I still don't feel bad for him. He has done horrible things. I get it, he has a rough past but that's not really an excuse. Like, he almost KILLED Tyler just becuse he had sex with his girlfriend. And then ruined the poor guy's life. He lied to Jules and used her for his own good. And Maddie... God, I feel so bad for her. She still thinks Nate is a good person even though he tried to choke her two damn times. The guy needs a therapist and some good slaps before he ruins even more lives. His "parents" should have realised that sooner, but of course, his dad was busy fucking teens and his mom didn't give a shit about her family
you're not alone in this. I hate how its suddenly become a trend to "stan" villians because they show some shred of sadness or trauma. Like you did this to other people, you're not entitled to getting empathy at all. I think a more satisfying ending for me would be Nate going to prison for the rest of his life.
oh yeah, of course. i think his past is more of like an explanation, just to get a better understanding of who he is and why he does the things that he does. like how rue describes the characters and their pasts so we can understand them and their behaviors. nate has very serious problems that will only be managed if he wants better for himself and is willing to accept help. But by the looks of it, he doesn’t care to do so. now that we’re on season 2, I wonder if he’ll end up dead or victorious by the end of the season (like many abusers do, unfortunately)
This reminds me so much of Azula because you can understand and empathize that what they went through was also awful, but they've done so much in their life that you can't forgive them for their psychotic behavior. It makes me emotional but I could never like either of them.
I hated Nate during all the first season and in this scene I could felt some compassion for him, that's what a call good acting skill, it's one of the reasons this serie is so cool, every member in the cast is great interpreting their characters.
It's what I thought too, but after season 2 I'm not so sure. Maybe someone did something to nate when he was younger, but I don't think it was his dad. If it was sexually abused, they'd have revealed it sooner.
honestly this scene almost made me have a panic attack. I wouldn’t be able to live in that house with him if he did that, because screaming and loud noises are triggering for me. but the acting in the scene is amazing. but this scene broke my heart
This show is good tho, showing what happens behind everyone’s stories. And what shows on the surface is not always what it seems. This scene is really hard to watch and yet very much good.
This is so hard to watch. I can't even imagine what the vibe and emotional state of the cast and producers when they filmed this. Must have been extremely uncomfortable. Reminds me of a specific episode of Buffy. If you know you know
If you’ve ever fought your father, you know this feeling and emotions sucks, the mixed emotions, the pain and fear going back and forth It’s scary and confusing but it happens a lot I wish no one goes through what I went through or what Nate went through
That’s scary they really did this, method acting is no joke. Its crazy he really hit his head that ridiculously hard against the floor, he could have killed himself.
Bro nate lost it this is where u need to hug your son and support him ive done what nates done in this clip and im 15 but because i do mma its more "threatening" when i had a breakdown my dad didnt restrain me he just hugged me and that helped me getting better so much
We done all been in this position before. Thought we could take our dad’s and they end up putting us in our places to the point we could do nothing but just be mad and start crying.
Nate is not a villain. He's just a kid who was traumatized which is not his fault. He became a manipulative misogynist because that's what he learned from his dad.
Nate’s a serious psychopath who needs serious help… but my heart kinda broke for him. I know what that’s like. I know how defeated you feel, how numb you get afterwards. No one deserves that. It doesn’t excuse any of his actions after, but can’t really say I wouldn’t have seen this coming.
Shows what kind of dad he was, he could’ve comforted and apologized to Nate, the least he could’ve done was force Nate to stop hurting himself or stayed in the room until he stopped but he just walks away. No wonder one of the reasons Nate is so fucked up
They literally all are what the hell ??? Jules, Rue, maddy .. .all of them suffer through something, and all of them are broken and do disgusting shit sometimes
once Nate sees the reflection in the mirror of his father on top of him, he immediately breaks into tears. a visual reminder of what he has seen his father do
OH. I thought he was just so upset that he couldn't beat his father because he never wanted to be his father, so loosing to him was upsetting.
Maybe it has something to also do with sexuality¿?
I think he just had a mental breakdown

Do you go to a specialist to help you with these attacks? Are they frequent? Sorry if I'm asking to much I'm just curious. Do they mainly happen when you have a lot of kept up emotion??
@@stellar.3381 it's ok, yes it happens when you keep too much in and or with confrontations when the other person doesn't understand you or tries to prove his point over you instead of understanding what you're going through or what you feeling or getting too stressed about something and people around you don't see to care ,these are all just fuel for an anger attack and when i get to that stage i go to my room or outside to be alone until i cool off because at that point anger will overshadow your since of right and wrong and your blood will start pumping fast and your entire body feels like it going to explode and things can get physical pretty easy, boxing and sports that use physical energy will reduce it and help control it as you progress through the year , it can be cured but it takes years of self control unlike normal people.
is it similar like, me crying because of anger in a fight, not because I am sad or hurt, just because of pure anger?
@@brotherjoll1802 are you fucking stupid
Wow best scene ever!
this is talent
I respect this comment so much. I completely agree
you're not alone in this. I hate how its suddenly become a trend to "stan" villians because they show some shred of sadness or trauma. Like you did this to other people, you're not entitled to getting empathy at all. I think a more satisfying ending for me would be Nate going to prison for the rest of his life.
@@discombobulatednoorie 100%
oh yeah, of course. i think his past is more of like an explanation, just to get a better understanding of who he is and why he does the things that he does. like how rue describes the characters and their pasts so we can understand them and their behaviors. nate has very serious problems that will only be managed if he wants better for himself and is willing to accept help. But by the looks of it, he doesn’t care to do so. now that we’re on season 2, I wonder if he’ll end up dead or victorious by the end of the season (like many abusers do, unfortunately)
I agree. He needs a motherly love and a right guidance. Parents can be emotionally selfish at times.
The self harm at the end almost made me cry 😢I know how much pain he must of been in a used to self harm like that
he definitely needed ice for his head after that scene
He’s a fucking amazing actor oh my god
Nobody gonna speak abt the fact that Nate called his dad *"motherfuc-"*
I mean he's not wrong
Bro turned into a werewolf
After it's revealed of the nightmares Nate has in season 2, this scene is way more intense than it originally was
This reminds me so much of Azula because you can understand and empathize that what they went through was also awful, but they've done so much in their life that you can't forgive them for their psychotic behavior. It makes me emotional but I could never like either of them.
This is actually such a good comparison. Kinda reminds me of when she lost the Ag ni kai and lost her shit
still one of jacobs best scenes ever
I honestly jumped up in joy when Nate's dad over powered him, meet you're maker lol
I hated Nate during all the first season and in this scene I could felt some compassion for him, that's what a call good acting skill, it's one of the reasons this serie is so cool, every member in the cast is great interpreting their characters.
My first thought when he started to panic like that was maybe his dad did something to him when he was younger
1:16 nah what was that noise💀
This show is good tho, showing what happens behind everyone’s stories. And what shows on the surface is not always what it seems.
This scene is really hard to watch and yet very much good.
Both these guys are good actors this scene seems so real💯
His father has good mount and Wrist control ..🥋🥋
That one kid when they don’t get a toy or a candy at the store
Like nah… this scene was crazy his anger issues and emotions just built up and he just trigged him inside and outside…
He sounds like a demon when he screams like bro WHAT THE HELL
it felt so intense the first time i watched that scene
What do you get when you cross Abuse and Sexual trauma with PTSD and BPD? Well, you get Nate.
I will never look at Jacob elordi the same 🤗
This is so hard to watch. I can't even imagine what the vibe and emotional state of the cast and producers when they filmed this. Must have been extremely uncomfortable. Reminds me of a specific episode of Buffy. If you know you know
Nate is steady trying to fix his dad but he can’t his dad is a lost cause but Nate has time to get right
im just trying to figure out where his wife is located with them children.
I think there's something with their family. Where's there third kids ? We saw the pictures with 3 kids and we only saw Nate and his older brother?
One of the most affecting scenes
Such a disturbing and great scene
Me covering my ears and closing my eyes going “he’s mark sloan he’s mark sloan he’s mark sloan
I feel so bad for Nate like he has so much pain in him and doesn’t know what to do
Clown
Who’s here after his new video with GQ?
bro used that gay dad strength on young bro.🤣
haha my father and brother were like this. This scene makes me cry everytime
When nate started hitting his head I felt how cal knew he fucked him up completely and he could never do somth about it
If you’ve ever fought your father, you know this feeling and emotions sucks, the mixed emotions, the pain and fear going back and forth
It’s scary and confusing but it happens a lot
I wish no one goes through what I went through or what Nate went through
It’s more than that
gotta take that L from dad
That’s scary they really did this, method acting is no joke. Its crazy he really hit his head that ridiculously hard against the floor, he could have killed himself.
Bro nate lost it this is where u need to hug your son and support him ive done what nates done in this clip and im 15 but because i do mma its more "threatening" when i had a breakdown my dad didnt restrain me he just hugged me and that helped me getting better so much
It's like Nate childhood's trauma coming to life.
Ngl I started laughing immediately
You’re weird
We done all been in this position before. Thought we could take our dad’s and they end up putting us in our places to the point we could do nothing but just be mad and start crying.
i swear I see myself in Nate so much
This is right up there with Bryan Cranston's performance in the Crawl Space BB episode.
AGREED
Nate is not a villain. He's just a kid who was traumatized which is not his fault. He became a manipulative misogynist because that's what he learned from his dad.
Thank you!!!!!
What did his dad do
@@Sing87eh did you.. not watch the video?
It’s the daddy issues for me
I wonder what the mom was thinking downstairs?
"Oh, husband and son fucking again. I shouldn't interrupt. "
1:16 Nate was going Super Saiyan
Jacob Elordi is amazing 👏🏾
This is how Majin Buu reacted when he found out there was no candy in the Time Chamber
that much trauma it's unbelievable that he wouldn't kill him.
Shows what kind of dad he was, he could’ve comforted and apologized to Nate, the least he could’ve done was force Nate to stop hurting himself or stayed in the room until he stopped but he just walks away. No wonder one of the reasons Nate is so fucked up
The infamous scene that gave Jacob Elordi a concussion
hell naw bro nate scary asf 😂😂😂
Was he tryna kiss his dad 💀
I think he was about to bite him
Yes
I think he was trying to intimidate him
He was sizing him up
My wish was that
i know i shouldn't like be in love with nate, but lol i am
Lol well done for 'being in love' with a disgusting, psychotic and manipulative freak
@@GameGuy9100 Gameguy9100 pls calm down, it’s called toxic love smh🙄🙄
@@cam7497 your on something else luv
The people who are sympathizing with Nate... the FU*K is wrong with y’all. He’s literally a metally i’ll person.
They literally all are what the hell ??? Jules, Rue, maddy .. .all of them suffer through something, and all of them are broken and do disgusting shit sometimes
Legit Great Acting!!
