    Nice! Probably the best sounding Bonneville on youtube. I'm on a 2007 Scrambler, love the sound of that as well. Picked up an extra set of Scrambler high pipes with a view to building a SE desert sled thingy.

      Thanks, Berni! You mean a SE with knobbies and stuff? Raisch sells a 17inch front with spokes too. I would be very worried about denting the cast wheel. :) But then again, check out Jamie Robinson's episode on the Bonneville SE. It can take a bit of dirt too. Btw. I love the sound of the 270 crank on the scrambler too. Hard to beat. :)

      @@rodirsno I've had all kinds of adventure/dual sport tires on the Scrambler but lately running full street tires. Worst I do is gravel roads, lots of gravel roads(no cops)lol. I'm looking to run 120/80 front on the SE(fingers crossed, should fit) Fork gaiters, black abs plastic "skid plate" for flying stone protection, YSS black spring shocks etc. I'll take my chances with the mag wheels, I'm so tired of cleaning chain sponge off my spoked rear wheel.

    What a ride. What a bike. What a sound. You are very good, but that is too fast for me. It just shows what a wonderful bike the Bonneville is. It can perform like that or be just as good quietly burbling along sedately in town on your way to work. Aggressive or gentlemanly as the mood takes you. A bike with good manners. I had one in the 1960s and is great to see these new editions have captured the style, spirit and class of the originals. Thanx from Australia.

    • @lawrieyoutube4375
      @lawrieyoutube4375 5 месяцев назад

      I saw another youtuber talk about this in some detail. (I can't remember who) Apparently it has been sorted out from about the 2022 models on, I think. Though I believe it wasn't always a problem. But if the bike was ridden very aggressively often, and the change pedal thumped hard, it could and did give trouble. But if you can't ride a Bonnie hard at times what's the point. It seems Triumph listened.

      Hey Giordano, I wish I could tell you more other than that it is bone stock. There might be some differences between the T100, SE, Mag wheel standard, and Thruxton models - but I got no clue sadly. I can just say that gear 4 and 5 are very very long and it is impossible to redline the bike in the last gear and very hard to in 4th. In the first three gears it is smooth with its 69hp but it will pack quite a punch from 5500rpm to the rev limiter and they have just the right length to ride smoothly but quick. I like it.

      @@rodirsno I bought mine with Hagon shocks at the back, so I don't know how good or bad the stock suspension is. While the shocks at the back are working fine, the front was working awful. I've done 14000km since I bought my Bonnie SE last year and wasn't satisfied with the front. So I bought TEC progressive fork springs and also changed the oil for a Valvoline 10W. When I disassembled the forks it turned out that there were progressive springs ( also Hagon I think) installed, but in a wrong way.😂 Can't tell you how better or worse the front suspension is now, because there's quite a lot of snow in the place where I live.
      As for exhaust - I'll probably install some pipes in the future, the stock one are quite heavy. But yeah, I went with the suspension mods at first.

      @@vvevvevvvv wise choice to work on the suspension first. I have made these mods on other bikes that are for offroading, not on the Bonnie yet. I planned to only ride her slow only at first and saw no need, but after more aggressive ride-outs and quick cornering, I realized the lack of good suspension. So it is the number one priority now. Thank you for the recommendations!

    Great video! What is your cell phone mount? I have a Bonnie and am debating the Ram short arm but really like the looks of yours.

      Thanks Jacob. It is a SP connect mount. Without any arm. The clamp has the diameter of the bars and sitting right in the middle. Looks neat! :)

    01:45 didn't even see the brown-grey car, neither did I manage to see the white one incoming. Had the white car been overtaking at that moment, I'd be lying dead 30 meters down the road.

      Yes, in better hands. I switched to an Africa Twin and enjoy offroading. I may get a bonneville again. A 1200xc or xc would be a dream.
