Always loved Gary Moore. Saw him twice, once with Thin Lizzy in the '70;s then solo in the mid 80's. Have 8 albums with him on, Lizzy, Colosseum II and solo stuff and still play them regularly. Despite his relative success I still think he was hugely underrated. He had all bases covered as a guitarist, soft blue/ballards, rock, heavy rock and shredding. Although not at his best on this video, his vocals were damn good too. He started out with Skid Row. Good selection David!
Gary was simply the best guitarist ever to walk this earth! I was fortunate enough to see him live more times than I can honestly remember. No one, and I mean nobody one played with so much feeling and passion, it touches your soul. Coincidentally, it is very fitting that you should react to Gary as 6th Feb is the anniversary of his death, 11 years ago. Still miss him so much. Some information for you about Parisienne Walkways. Gary actually wrote this as an instrumental but when he played the tune to his friend Phil Lynott, Phil said that it had a kind of French feeling to it and that he would write some lyrics to it. It actually has a kind of double meaning to it. The opening line in the song is "I remember Paris in '49". The fact is that Phil was born in 1949 and his father's (whom he didn't meet until many years later) surname was Parris! Gary and Phil recorded it for Gary's album Back On The Streets and it was released as a single in 1979 and reached No.8 in the UK charts. I would strongly suggest that you check out Gary Moore The Messiah Will Come Again Live. Link below: ruclips.net/video/7k07j7LcLqw/видео.html You will honestly see the best guitar playing ever! You will not be disappointed I promise! Even if you don't react to it (obviously I hope that you will), treat yourselves, it is truly amazing. A true guitar master at work! Kindest regards to you from England. Stay safe and take care. 😊😎🎸
Thee guitar players guitarist as my friend Larry would say. As great as this is this is just scratching the surface. Dude put his whole being into his playing and could sing like an angel. RIP Great Choice Dave. ✌❤🤘
I am so thrilled that you both got it. You have just witnessed the best Rock/Blues guitar that has ever lived. I was so blessed to see so many of the early great bands and yet no idea why I ever missed seeing Gary. RIP GM you were the best.
This is one of the greatest guitar players ever and a smart man. Never playing for fame, always for the music. Always trying to do the best he could. Did some great stuff with Thin Lizzy. Check out Black Rose. Thanks guys, great reaction 👍💪🎸
Don't think I've ever heard anything by Gary Moore that I didn't like. He did a live album years ago with Greg Lake that just totally kills but I can't remember it's name in my present state. Great reaction as always you two!!❤
Nice one guys...always a pleasure to watch Mr Moore....and what a fantastic guitar, when he sustains those notes, my dog looks up , ears cocked lol..cheers
@@kengregory6026. no probs, it's only certain special people I remember, lol. At my age, I have difficulty remembering what I had for breakfast, so things like this help stave off senility, lol.
That was a REALLY good reaction to a Master Musician and Beautiful song Guys.:) I have Subscribed and feel you are NOW ready for Gary LIVE IN PARIS with "I've Still Got The Blues For You"....:) Thanks for not disrupting the flow and rhythm and momentum by not pausing though a couple of times I saw our friend reach forward and thought "NO ! DON'T !"...haha ENJOY
I think it's a rare breed of so-called guitar heroes whose shows are not primarily a sausage-fest. Pyrotechnics without blowing shit up. Agreed, Sifa, "lover's shredding". His soulful vocals always hit me too. First became aware of him as having done stints in Thin Lizzy and Coliseum. On his own is another thing altogether. 'Still Got the Blues' is primo GM too.
Isn't this beautiful? Who knew there were that many notes one could play per second? Great guitarist. Vocals remind me of Randy Newman for some reason.....
Respect to all the other great guitarists, but Gary was something else. You often hear that with those guys the guitar is the extension of them, I’m pretty sure with Gary that he was the extension of the guitar, you could see that in almost every note he played! For me he will always be the greatest! If you want to see that what I just said to confirm try “The Messiah will come again” from Montreaux as well, but from 1990. It’s originally from Roy Buchanan, but he made this song something very very special! Absolute epic! Otherwise try my personal favorite song in my favorite version, “Empty Rooms” Live 1987 in Stockholm, just the beautiful intro is worth the time! RIP Gary!
Utterly incredible. At the end Gary plays a few bars of traditional Irish tune O'Neill's March. This might be in homage, just might, to Johnny Fean of Horslips. Another mighty Irish guitarist.O'Neill's March was the basis of Dearg Doom, the anthemic track from Horslips Tain album. Alternatively, like Rory Gallagher did, maybe a nod to his roots.

this is a very worn down Gary. A lot of stuff had happened to him before this show and also after. He looks tired when singing and his usual 'stamina' isn't there, althought the feeling was never lost....
Nice reaction.... At least, i, even, don't know, if GARY, truly, went to PARIS, and lived that love story? MONTREUX, is a world known jazz/blues festival, but, it's in Switzerland! 🤔🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂😂😂Peace from FRANCE guys ✌️👍🎸😂🇫🇷🌹
Not only was Gary a brilliant, versatile musician, and a fabulous guitarist, he was a kind, gentle soul and a lovely man.
R.I.P. to him. Thanks for watching!
Il capo di tutti capi; the best guitarplayer ever lived! R.I.P. Gary!
It's nice to hear from people that play the guitar say good things about him.
I saw him play live in the 80's he was an amazing performer.
If this doesn't speak to you, you're dead inside....

Gary is one of the all time best guitarist.
Something about his guitar tone and technique on this one gives me a Santana vibe. Beautifully done.

NO ONE can squeeze emotion out of a guitar like Gary. MAYBE David Gilmore.
Yes! Fucking Amazing, God rest your Soul Gary.
Gary was a master

This is one of the greatest guitar players ever and a smart man. Never playing for fame, always for the music. Always trying to do the best he could.
Did some great stuff with Thin Lizzy. Check out Black Rose. Thanks guys, great reaction 👍💪🎸
Thanks for watching Peter!
In my opinion, the most emotional guitar player ever. He could make you feel his pain. Gary’s guitar sings, screams, and cries. So does my heart 😎
I can't believe I'm a year late for this! lol GM's playing hits me in the feels......RIP GM
One bad mother for. Gone but never forgotten!!

I love your reaction to this performance, my 2 favorite guitarist in the world are both Irish guys, Rory Gallagher and Gary Moore!!!
Thanks for watching Garry!
Don't know if you guys knew but today is the anniversary of Gary's passing 11 years ago, R.I.P. Gary. Nice tribute Dan and Sifa!
Nice one Paul, didn't realise that

We didn’t know. Thanks so much for telling us, we’re happy to share in his memory 🕊
Fantatic reaction.
Gary was a brilliant guitarist...the best. Love to see more reactions for Gary Moore, please.
Thanks so much Valyinnax!
This was obviously before Mr Moore passed, can anyone come to the same perfection before they move on from this life.
As incredible as this performance was, it is still far from his best.
He was a true virtuoso.
Few players in his league.
What a great guitarist so sad he died too young! Another great is the guitarist of Gov'n Mules!
I amucky enough to have seen him live many times, always amazing RIP Gary
His blues stuff, fantastic. He owned Peter green's guitar and played it so well. A very lovely man who lived for music
"Blues for Greeny"
That was a REALLY good reaction to a Master Musician and Beautiful song Guys.:)

He could make the guitar sing
R.i.p
Everyday! I listen! da, qui, si, yes!
기타를 기술적으로 잘 연주하는 사람들은 뭐가 대단하냐 생각할 수 있지만
그게 핵심이 아니라 저 감성을 창작해냈다는 게 중요한 거지
나에겐 최고의 기타리스트
Isn't this beautiful? Who knew there were that many notes one could play per second? Great guitarist. Vocals remind me of Randy Newman for some reason.....
Yeah, we hear that!
LEGEND🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸rip
Loved his playing - how can you not? A true musician with his heart in the work.
Tell me again Richie Blackmore is the best British guitarist?
Gary moore is not british. He's Irish. So Blackmore still has a case for best british guitarist

Guy's you need to check out his playing on "The messiah will come again"!
You should hear Alan Holdsworth , John McGlaughlin , and Steve Hackett .

But also Delon Godard Melville Huppert Sartre Deneuve... 68.. And Houellebecq 2023 or that solo wouldn't exist. But it's death anyway.

A hybrid between Carlos Santana and Al Dimeola. Not the greatest songs but killer chops.
