He puts his entire body and soul into every performance. Add to that great technique and a killer tone and he is the real deal. This is not even the best version of this, so that gives you some indication of how good he actually was. I miss him so much.
Gary had it all. Not only one of the greatest guitarists that ever lived, but a wonderful singer and a brilliant songwriter. He is badly missed, Gary had so much more to give us.
You couldn’t have put it any better in saying the guitar is an extension of his heart. He puts his life and soul into every song he plays and no one will come close to him but I hope someone does some day
Gary Moore was criminally underrated. One of, if not the GOAT, Imo. Empty rooms, live in Stockholm is an other great one to react to. With another fantastic guitar solo at the end.
I saw Gary perform this live at the Barrowlands in Glasgow, back in probably 1997 or 1998. I was stood about 6ft from a Marshall stack and I don't think the hearing in my left ear has ever recovered. No regrets though. He broke his high E string while he was playing and just got on with the show, nobody knew any different. Such a professional. He was a great guitarist who really knew how to put a Les Paul through its paces. He had so much to say, and chose to say it though his guitars. Gone too soon. Another great reaction guys. Much love.
My favourite two guitarists , Gary Moore and Rory Gallagher, often referred too as the greatest guitarist you have never heard of. Thank you Ireland for giving us two of the best ever
I saw Gary Moore live in Rotterdam Holland. He did some Thin Lizzy, he did his metal periode and of course his blues set. This magician gave you his all every night. You got more than your money's worth. It still is one of my favorite concerts and nobody can take it away from me. I saw a master at work. Okay with a few thousand other people where there too. When he passed i am not ashamed to say i shed a tear and that whole day was (not a nice word) He talked through his strings even though he had an excellent singing voice. thanks for the memory and enjoy.
Gary at his peak could reach right into your chest and rip your heart out. All. Of. The. Feels. He had a great range in his playing too: ballads like this, jazz fusion, scorching hard rock. He was incredible and very sadly missed. Best vibrato in the business too.
You two are clearly lovers of the blues. It is the basis of all modern music, thus the root music and it truly does draw you into its beauty. Great blues guitarists are, for my money, the most heart felt musicians of the last 60 years or so. A tremendous amount of what they have recorded still sounds contemporary and excellent today. All timeless music is that way. The blues will never go out of fashion. 🎸🎸🎸💖💖💖
I was a huge rocker growing up; I guess I still am. But the older I get, the more I'm drawn to the blues. And so many great blues guitarists now. I think they know Joe Bonamassa but they should definitely check out Samantha Fish, Walter Trout, and Eric Gales just to name a few.

Love this reaction guys and your right it is part of the song which is why everyone was cheering and waiting for that sustained note. Absolute genius and legend… RIP Gary
i have watched this thousands of times and i still absolutely adore it, Gary was the king for me other players might have been more flashy or faster but nobody could emote so much soul and passion through a guitar this is what the electric guitar is all about. one of the finest performences ever imo what a musician, great reaction 👍❤
What a great reaction from you, my two favorites when it comes to reaction. Gary Moore is, to my ears, a bit underrated. He is a fantastic guitarist. Thanks for the reaction. Greetings from Norway. 😀
Growing up my guitar hero's were from bands I loved, like Lifeson, Gilmour, Van Halen and Page. When I took up playing guitar around 10 yrs ago, my go to for guitar ideas and instruction moved to Knopfler, Moore and Marino. Gary Moore heads my list of the cream of the crop, followed by Frank Marino. Check "Its Begun to Rain" by Frank Marino, up there with some of the greatest solos I've ever heard.
Fantastic reaction by you both! I think you expressed how I feel whenever I listen to Gary Moore! I liked very much the comment 'The guitar is an extension of his heart NOT his hand! That was a great comment. Likewise the your comment about how he is carousing his guitar to express his emotions!!
Out in The Fields with Gary and Phill Lynot is another good one. It's about The Troubles in Northern Ireland, something they were both very close to 👍👍
Gary literally put chills through me when he played the guitar. He could play rock and heavy rock just as well as the blues. I have seen many guitarists but he is probably the best. Him and Clapton. Oh, and Francis Rossi from Status Quo who is very underrated
The guitar Gary is playing is such a special guitar named Greenie after the original owner Peter Green of the very early blues band Fleetwood Mac ..Listen to Peter Greens instrumental called The Supernatural where the guitar was used and listen to the sound roll over from one side of your headphones to the other giving the listener a very special insight of what this guitar was capable of doing ..this guitar is worth millions ..nice reaction
@@bobtheteddybear Sorry i found the version with Gary playing Greenie which in my opinion is the greatest solo ever ... heres the link ... binding included .. ruclips.net/video/LN0c6IfMkac/видео.htmlsi=wTZCQSARbTo5euVW.
Gary Moore......definitely one of the best. My favorite of his is 'The Loner'. His bass player in this video is from the band 'Skunk anansie'....worth listening too....'Brazen', 'Hedonism' or 'Weak'.....they made great music.
Gary came home one Friday night and threw a music piece on the bed and told Phil Lynott to write lyrics to it. Phil's father was called Paris, died young. Is a song about Phil's mother.. Score written by Gary
Gary was The Goat, saw him live two months before he died, plays with so much Soul, Emotion, he makes that guitar Cry. 🎸🤘 R.I.P. Another great riff master to check out Rory Gallagher.
This song was originally written as an instrumental, Gary brought it to Phill Lynett... Who went away and wrote the lyrics.... The opening line "I remember Paris in '49"... Phil was born in 1949, his father was called Paris :).... The pause was because Gary held the record for the longest guitar note for that particular note in the song... So he teased and paused to get a response.... Oh, and the bassist is Cass from the band Skunk Anansie.
In my opinion the best version of parisienne walkways is live from Royal Albert Hall 92 ..and the lyrics is written by Phil lynott and its actually not about paris. Phils dad was called paris and is from 49..😊 you should check out the loner live from Sweden 87 its also very very good.
Another great performance by the amazing Gary Moore - one of my favourite guitarists so it's good to see you reacting to him again. Give yourselves a treat and react to this performance of Separate Ways, live 1992, with extended intro. The vocals start about 7 minutes in and before that your see and hear some of the best guitar playing ever performed, with Gary showing both the incredibly subtle touch he has, building up to the fire that is always bubbling away, waiting to explode. He was one of the great masters of the instrument and very few can control a cranked-up electric guitar on stage, with the gain ready to punch holes in the venue walls, in the way Gary Moore could. ruclips.net/video/aW9hCIiZ-gE/видео.htmlsi=EiRH_jrWzO9nDQ1z
The live version of this that is also on RUclips needs checking out,the one that Gary is wearing a orange jumpsuit, the guitar work forgives the jumpsuit 😁
I got to see Gary live , so talented. Gary also so played sometime with a band called Thin Lizzy , I think you would like the track The Boys are back in town
There are many other great guitar players but he plays with such intense emotion and that is what separates' him from other greats. top 5 guitarist in my book any day
The guitar is an extension of his soul! When he plays, he is one with the instrument. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix were the same kind of players.
Gary Moore's a real genius on Guitar. I'd love to see you react to 'Don't believe a word' live. It's a Thin Lizzy song, but Gary Moore's version is brilliant.
Gary actually wrote Don`t Believe A Word and recorded the slow version, Thin Lizzy didn`t like it and wouldn`t play it unless they could speed it up, both great though!
I remember when this hit the UK charts. I've always loved it - it brings back special memories of my late wife. I find some of the live versions a bit too much, and have never really enjoyed the play out solo. Still Gary is my favourite player along with David Gilmour. Have a listen to the studio version - there are also better live versions too.
Finally !! I mentioned it many times in the comments before. This is a great version, but not my favorite. Listen to different versions and find your personal one. RIP Gary Hope Miyako will honor his playing some more on the upcoming new work from Lovebites
So glad you appreciate the genius one of the most underated guitarists of all time. By the way, he didn't make it into " Rolling Stones "top 500 guitarists of all time. Gotta love Yanks, right?

RIP Gary Moore 🙏. My favourite version of this is Phil Lynott and Gary Moore performing live together 🎵🎶🍯🤌🙏✌️🐝🍀
Me Too!!!!
Absolutely, Phil and Gary together are perfection. Gary's vocals are not in the same class as Phils, but Gary's guitar work is sublime.
The word genius is banded around far too easily but in Gary Moore's case....he was a GENIUS.
A gift from God, your absolutely right. You hit the nail on the head ❤😂😂
I have a replica of that guitar. I wish I also had Gary's extraordinary gift for playing it.
how much was it lol

I concur !
The call and response aspect of that one is amazing. Like two friendly masters dueling with their guitars.
