Why is he NOT in the Hall of Fame? Glorious version of this song and playing.😆🥰
Gary Moore (RIP) was a phenomenal talent and they don't come around too often.
That was a perfect comment, "It is so beautiful it hurts" ...
A lovely Irish lad...aren't they all. Miss you so much Gary.
He was as close to a perfect player, as has ever existed.
R.I.P. Gary Moore. He is making magic with Peter Green's guitar.
He was playing his other Les Paul called Stripe
@@robertphelps1574 Didn't know. Sounds amazing anyway.
Jamming w/ Michael Bloomfield .....
@@marymargaretmoore9034 youtube.com/@robertphelps1574 Robert is correct. Greeny and Stripe look very similar. The easiest way to tell them apart is that Greeny has chrome covers over both pickups and Stripe has exposed black pickups without chrome covers.
Greeny is supposed to have a fantastic sound when playing the out-of-phase neck pickup, but in this video Stripe sounds phenomenal when he plays the neck pickup.
Kirk Hammett of Metallica now owns Greeny and plays it in concert rather than keeping it locked away in his basement.
Gary, we still got the blues for you. Rock in peace my friend. 💯❤️🇮🇹🇧🇪🇪🇺🎄
"Parissien Walkways" Next!! For me...his best song and riff! ❤
Absolutely!
Yep 👍
YES! The live version though. 🙂
Agreed and he got the melody from a 1963 jazz song called Blue Bossa by Joe Henderson
I absolutely love this song
One word will do - “glorious”
This is a great version 👍
i still got the blues for you mister.
You say you don't have words....."My heart was smiling!" - you couldn't have said it better!! Gary certainly knew how to pour his emotions through his guitar in such a beautiful way!! Well done!🤘
Moore was one of the all time greatest guitarists. The version from this concert in my opinion is his best performance of this song. B.B. King comes out later to play with Moore and tells him " You are hot tonight young man." This entire concert is fantastic.
He is a well known Guitarist's guitarist and Guitar God!
Its the most hauntingly beautiful song ever ❤️
The passion in which he plays that guitar hits you in the soul
One of the most underated musicians in the history of music. A legend , a talent, Parissienne walkaways , Walking by myself , Friday on my mind , out in the field, The loner , Empty rooms , Midnight blues, thunder rising, picture of the moon, and the list can go forever . Ooops Story of the Blues and Over the hills and far away .
Over the Hills and Far Away...covered by Nightwish!!!
I was privileged enough to see Gary live,on a few occasions with Thin Lizzy, G Force and solo ......the word genius is banded around far too easily but in Gary's case he really was a genius. RI.P...Great reaction👏👏
Lucky enough to see him live in 2007 at Wembley Arena. I just shut my eyes and let this wash over me. One of the most glorious, timeless pieces that I've ever heard. I've never heard anyone make a Les Paul cry its heart out like Gary could. RIP.
Definitely well said
Love your comments; totally true; you are ready to meet the Shepard. Gary Moore was the best Guitar player ever lived. Tip: The Messiah will come again from the Montreux festival; the best guitar solo ever recorded. Gary: Rest in peace!
RIP Gary, yes, he’s playing to the gods, thank you so much love to you guys
Always been a great fan of Gary and saw him live many times. When I see him I am reminded of the old joke... What's the difference between rock and the blues? Answer:- rock is 3 cords played to thousands of people, the blues is thousands of cords played to 3 people.
This song is a masterpiece, one of my all time favorites.
Saw him play twice live in his hometown ..Belfast..stunning
What can you possibly say. A genius at work
So you were speechless. I guess that says more than words can say.
The Story of the Blues is another great song from Gary.
Dumbfounded Speachless. Yeah you two are Fans
I grew up listening to Gary Moore and listened to him for decades. I absolutely loved his music and I cried like a baby when he passed away. It was like a knife in my heart.
Had the pleasure of seeing this live back in the 90s in Glasgow Scotland. Still one of my favourite ever gigs I’ve been to. 👏 RIP Legend
PLEASE PLAY Gary Moore The Loner Live in Stockholm 1987 I started to play guitar because of this video. This is emotion in its purest form. I have told all my family when i die as they lower me into the ground i want the loner to be playing if Gary is the last thing i hear on this earth ill die a happy man!!!!!
His tone, his feeling, technique... Ahh, so missed!! 😍Thank you for this - I will go through all his work now... 🙂For me very few guitarplayers gives me the chills, goosebumps... Gary does, every time!
One of my favorite guitarist of all time! Suggestion next reaction video by Gary
Gary Moore - Whiskey in the Jar (Tribute to Phil Lynnot) Live.
Gary Moore, second to no one. The best.
That whole concert was amazing
This is one fenomenal live version...
Gary Moore was a great guitar performer... the expressions he "prints" on his guitar ... are are indescribable.
Can you react also to:
Joe Satriani - crushing day...
Thank you
Another superstar guitarist is Roy Buchanan. You should listen to him. Ty.
The guitar he is playing was owned by original Fleetwood Mac founder Peter Green and the song Albatross by FMac includes the guitar ( give it a listen ) the guitar is now owned by the lead guitarist in Matalica.....the guitars name is " Greenie ".....you can see a short video about it on youtube..
i forgot......the guitar was built with a wire fault , but it was not corrected because of the unique sound , the owner who has it now said it sounds like a telecaster it shouldnt because its a Les Paul...check out the video
That’s not the Peter Green he was play but his other Les Paul called stripe
@@robertphelps1574 i will double check the info i have
Exactly, in this concert he use "greeny" when he playes midtnight blues... I was thinking of an older concert sry.
@@starkmoore2684 Exactly what ?
The whole show is worth watching it you can find it.probably my favourite live version of this song, but as BB King said "you are hot tonight young man" every song that night was fantastic.
I love the long intro to Separate Ways on this live show - alien level guitar 😂
Great reaction. Empty rooms (live version) is just as good. Cheers
Gary Moore ''Separate Ways'' (HQ live from London 1992,with extended guitar intro )
It was actually weird when this song and the album were released. After more than a decade of Hard Rock there was suddenly a horn section on stage together with Gary playing the Blues
Wow, this was new to me, artist and song. Thanks. Where have I been, under a rock?
Haha, the same here 🙂👍
He's an awesome blues guitarist but he cut his teeth as a Rock guitarist first. You should check out "Over the hills and far away"
Surreal experience
Brilliant blues artist and a magical guitar tone......first created by Peter Green with the Bluesbreakers, then slightly changed for the original Fleetwood Mac ( blues / rock band, not the later POP band ).
I would love to hear Dave Gilmore play that damn guitar. lol
Classic statement of the day, week, month, year: "Who hide this song from us?" Enough said.
😢😢😢😢😢 love gary moore ,gilmour ,andy latymor
My 80's hero
He was tremendous. I love this blues, is my favorite... heartbreaking ❤❤❤
Great choice.
Parisienne Walkways live at Montreux 2010. Empty rooms.
To hear Gary's Gibson Les Paul played by its original owner, have a listen to Fleetwood Mac, "I've got a mind to give up living". Have a box tissues at hand.
I love your reaction! I can see into your eyes that it moved you and touched your soul! The song touches me deeply and watching your faces added to that experience! Thank you!!
This song touches me since over 30 years. Again and again...
Ti me too, every i cry!
Rip Gary, thanks you for this and the other many songs❤
I'm sorry for the the writing mistakes, i'm without the glasses, i hope you all have understood, bye

Great reaction. One of the great performances...but second to Parieienne Walkways 2010.

Another live version at most of the other reactors are listening to the guitar solos are longer. Enjoy for yourself or post. It's just a beautiful song.
Stunning! That is the power of Gary Moore playing live. I have seen him many, many times and I was always stunned like you. It is not something to apologise for. Words such as beautiful and passion say all that needs to be said. Thank you for reacting to my favourite guitarist of all time. You two are adorable. You always give such sincere and heartfelt reactions. God bless!
It brings me such joy watching your reaction to the amazing talent that was Gary Moore. I have always felt this song stirs the soul and Gary's performances always leave people in awe. He was that exceptional. I still miss his work and thank God for music he left us. If you find yourselves with some spare time and want a treat. Watch Gary's Live tribute to Thin Lizzy and listen to Still In Love With You and Don't Believe a Word. It will enhance your day.
R.I.P Gary.

Up until that point the actual Gibson didn't know it could do that.
Parisienne Walkways live next. 🤘🎸
Gary with BB king doing the thrill is gone is amazing
every village party ended with this song when I was young and there were only a few dancing couples left on the dance floor, it was about 5 or 6 in the morning :)
Gary Moore was the greatest guitarist to ever live R.I.P GARY MOORE
Gary Moore right! That's all
i love the reaction
If this song was played during a conflict were bullets and shells where flying all around, the conflict would cease whilst this masterpiece played, the language of this song, singing and melody is truly universal.
Such a good song and performer, one of his popular songs for sure and hearing it live is so good, glad you enjoyed. As you liked live stuff, react to Metallica "Nothing Else Matters" from Cunning Stunts tour. Great live performance and my all time fave song.
gary have soul and tecnic too,now u see the poet in the spot , deep lines my channel, tnks from brazil, he is a top 10 guitarheros ever for sure
R.I.P Gary More your guitar will never his soul left him and went to the guitar partnership is a marriage that will ride for ever LEGENDARY
"parisienne walkways" is another GREAT one
@ Montreux and from the start:)
Gary is my favorite guitarist. I was turned on to him in the 80's. So emotional...
❤❤❤❤❤
Gary we still have the blues for you, there's an empty space in our hearts where you used to be. RiP I know your music will live on for ever.
Blues legend BB King said after performing with Gary I have just played with the best guitarist in the world...
Gary Moore was a once in a lifetime artist in the truest sense.
Hi guitar solo just reaches out and grabs your soul😢😮😅😊
I was lucky enough to catch Gary Moore live in Glasgow in the late 90s. He played Still Got The Blues, and it was fantastic. I experienced partial hearing loss at that concert. I was stood about 10ft from a Marshall stack and it took me about a month before I could hear properly again. Totally worth it though. Amazing concert. Such a shame he died too soon, he was great.
Gary was an outstanding Guitarist, his talent came so naturally to him. Another great song that he played at the Montreux music festival, is The Messiah will come. Definitely worth a watch 👍👍
Gary, in my opinion has never received the credit that he deserves for being one of the best guitar players ever. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The looks on your faces are absolutely priceless. The expressions on your face say everything that you’re feeling. You don’t need to add words even though it’s nice that you do, your expressions say it all. I was born in the 60s And was fortunate enough to be a child, teenager/young adult in the 70s and 80s and I’ve been fortunate enough to grow up with all of this great music. It really is a joy watching you two react to the music that I love. Thank you for helping to keep great music alive👏👏👏👏👏
In the discussion when it comes to greatest of all time when it comes to guitar players.
Simply brilliance personified
RIP Gary thank you for your talent and your music
Gary Moore, the guitar god. I am grateful to be able to experience him live in Germany
I started my obsession with gary moore back when he was playing in a band called thin Lizzy he was an amazing guitarist and this amongst other truly shows his genius
Gary Moore was such a talented musician and definitely one of the greatest Guitarists of all time. His ability to convey emotion using his guitar was unmatched. Combined with highly technical playing however so lyrical & unrushed - happy to hold the note, when needed & use pacing and silence as well. RIP Mr Moore, you are missed Sir.
I managed to see Gary Live a couple of times, my favourite of which was Welcome to the Garden Party at the Milton Keynes Bowl in !986. Playing that day were Mamas Boys, Magnum, Jethro Tull, Gary Moore and it was headlined by Marillion. A great day indeed.
Just looked it up and discovered it cost me the princely sum of £12. Now that was value for money.
Expressing pain and love, hurt and all kinds of emotions……in his guitar.
You know everything you two say and do in your reactions is like exactly how I think I'm a 57 year old man from Iowa. In the US ,but locations don't matter, listen ROCK AND ROLL NEVER FORGETS ,AND THATS WORLD WIDE , I could hang out with you guys ,is the vibe I get from your reactions , just so you know these reactions matter to someone and I'm here for it ,keep Rockin people
One of the greatest guitar players ever to grace planet earth.
This is one of those songs that will stay a classic and will be listened to forever. Everything about it is beyond beautiful. 🖤
Great reaction 👏👏
Oh my God, in the second guitar solo, I didn't feel my tears falling
one of my absolutely top favorite guitarists. be it hard rocking or heavy bluesing - always amazing! This may be the moste beautiful of his songs with a masterful recycling of licks from his previously most beautiful "Parisiennes walkways". But I love his playing and composing in all - From "parisiennes walkways" to "dancing" to "run for cover" to "after the war" to "over the hills and far away" to "still got the blues" to "Oh, pretty woman" to "murder in the skies" to "out in the fields" to "jailbreak" to "boys are back in town". There are songs I like less than others, but there hasn't been a playlist I've made without at least a few of his pieces of his. A beast on guitar and honey in the voice.
How the hell he does not get in the Rolling Stone top 200 guitarists is a mystery.
Superlative.
