Yes. The melody of "Parisienne Walkways" is based on the jazz standard "Blue Bossa" by Kenny Dorham.

It’s as if the guitar disappears and the sound is coming from Gary’s body. he feels every note . Along with Rory Gallagher the Irish has produced some fine guitarists

Beautiful song and beautiful reaction. This is only the second reaction I’ve seen from you and I’m a new subscriber. You feel the music the way that the rest of us hear it. He’s so expressive and you appreciate the technique. I haven’t checked out all of your videos and don’t know what you may have covered already. I hope that you check out Stevie Ray Vaughn and Joe Bonamassa. They will definitely be more long videos that you’ll have to get used to, lol. I do think you’ll enjoy it.

Perhaps his preference for certain fingers on his fretting hand has something to do with the fact that he was in that rare club of left-handed guitarists who played ‘right handed’, so his dominant hand is his fretboard hand. Having said that, his right hand picking is spectacular too!

You should look up “R I P Gary Moore , best solo ever probably” on RUclips. It’s amazing. It’s another version of this song I believe but it’s just him on guitar

Great performance by Gary, as always. For repeated listening though, I prefer the studio version (with Lynott singing), because it's less overblown.

Thin Lizzy Style ;) Because he was his guitarist ;)

Gary Moore used that chord progression several times, trying to come up with different ideas for it. Still in Love With You by Thin Lizzy might be the earliest example. This isn't my favourite version of the song, I think there's too much distortion on his tone for my liking. As far as I remember the bass player and drummer came from a band called Skunk Anansie. Gary Moore was well able to use all the fingers of his left hand, but didn't often find it necessary for his bluesier material, and said he was faster using mostly his second finger, so that's what he used.

    Is that LP Greeny?

No, one of his signature series,

It is custom built to replicate Greeny as you can see with the reversed neck pickup cover. I’m assuming it is also wired ‘wrong’ to create the out of phase sound, just like Greeny. There are quite a few videos of Moore playing the real Greeny, which shows all of its 1959 vintage with its faded sunburst and area below and to the back of the bridge pickup where Moore’s (not Peter Green’s) frenetic picking has worn away the finish down to the natural maple.

@Drinckx2 Tone controls on Greeny also different, two have the covers missing.
