That Gibson Les Paul "Greenie" in the hands of Gary is the greatest blues tone in history! So damn emotive. The guitar is crying! And Gary's voice was sensational !!!
Gary was so so special. I feel very lucky indeed to have seen him perform live at all stages of his career playing Rock, Jazz, Punk, Metal, Blues you name it. A genuine master of the guitar and LEGEND. For sure Rolling Stone magazine is toilet paper but the fact that Gary did not even make their list of the 250 top guitarists of all time proves how out of touch they are.
Absolutely. An unbelievable and utterly shameful omission on their part. By that one decision alone, they lost any credibility they ever had for me as a serious musical journal.
What a guitar legend. When you see stuff like this it's easy to forget he was in Thin Lizzy and did many harder rock tracks as a solo artist as well. He played all sorts of tunes and played them all great
Incredible guitarist and great vocalist too. Very few played the guitar with such intensity and passion. He really poured his soul into every screaming note. Gone way too soon like so many of our legends. 😕
Plz review the long version of the Montreux 2010 "Parisienne Walkways" in which his feel, runs and invention are extraordinary, with the crowd just swaying and swooning to it all. One of the true great rock and blues players and like Rory Gallagher will never know how much he is still missed.
😊 Gary - my number one! There are videos (only audio) from a concert in Japan 1987, where he plays Spanish style. In this case on a 12 - string guitar... ✨👌 (search Gary Moore Acoustic guitar and Flamenco solo)
I acknowledge Gary's wonderful talent. I never got to see him play. I did get to see Roy Buchanan and it was the most emotional, gut wrenching and soulful guitar playing ever, not to mention his pioneered techniques.
Just love your reactions to guitarists who can stir emotions with just a bit of wood and some metal strings - plus an incredible amount of skill of course. Another for you to react to is Andy Latimer - try Camel, playing 'Ice', live at the LA Billboard 1997. Thanks for the uploads!
Also, that's the famous"Greenie" gibson less paul, originally owned by Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac and is now owned by kirk Hammett of Metallica. It's a 1959 that came out of the factory with a wiring mistake that gave it a great tone.
my man thanking you for checking out Gary the man is a wizard on a guitar. you should check out thrill is gone with Gary and the legend b b King it's live and in an intimate venue it's unworldly good. 🫡👍🏴
You are probably sick of recommendations, particularly about blues guitar however. I wanted to share a guitarist who knew Gary Moore and who sold him the guitar in this video. His name was Peter Green, and was the first guitarist in Fleetwood mac, from 1967 until he left in 1970. This particular track is interesting, because it sounds utterly vulnerable and shouldn't really work considering the sound issues that night. This is the very same guitar that Gary used and recorded throughout most of his main work. Give it a go and enjoy 👍 ruclips.net/video/lamtA4jDvsI/видео.htmlsi=9cF9ehIbKuG7SLuK

Kirk Hammett bought it for 2 million dollars!!!
But the Les Paul he was using in this video was his other Les Paul called Stripe
I am a 70 year old Guy from London and I cried when I first heard this version, such was its beauty:)
I hear you!!!

Saw him once in Denmark. Amazing ❤❤

Rolling Stone Magazine never had any credibility…it’s a third rate comic…
Will always be one of the best.
You’re hearing his SOUL! Literally
Yes, guitars can cry and weep, beautiful
THAT IS AN ARTIST 🎨 👏 👌
Lots of phenomenal performances by Gary, the best guitarist ever.
Empty Rooms, Stockholm 1987 one of my favourites.
Military Man at the same concert wasn,t bad either!

The thing about Gary Moore is that he can play these achingly beautiful melodies and then without warning turn around and rip your face off.
R.I.P. Gary.
Gr8 reaction, 👍 I saw Gary in 85 in Germany at MONSTERS OF ROCK and he was incredible 😲 😅😊

Gary's tone is in his fingers...and it's one of a kind.

Seperate ways, live in london is a must watch! Great reaction bro.
Saw him live 3 times, phenomenal player
One thing to note is the sheer volume at which he plays.
And how he controls it so well.

No, this is Gary’s other ‘59 Les Paul, known as ‘Stripe’. The most obvious difference is that the pickups are covered on Greeny.
You have to check out the loner, an instrumental and possibly his best playing ever. Check out the live version from the 8ps
another irish legend
Northern Irish
Another great reaction my friend! I'd love to see your reaction to Story Of The Blues live by Gary. Absolutely incredible solo 🔥🔥🔥
I will check it out
My favorite guitar player, but I admit that I'm not an expert, so I'm sure there are many other great artists that I don't know yet.

Alip Ba Ta acoustic version is just as cool as the original singer RIP Gary
One of the best modern blues songs ever. Good grief.
Buddy Guy, Gary Moore, there are only a couple of guys at that level.
Umm what no one has mentioned....it's in the circle of Fourths which is amazing and different to me
As is Parisienne Walkways and Still in love with you
YOU WANNA SEE HOW GOOD A PLAYER IS?? Have them play the blues and without all those pedals.... SHOW ME WHAT YOUGOT BRO!@@!!!!
