I wrestled the third movement of Moonlight Sonata on piano for a looonng time. Tina S has not only mastered it on guitar, she has added complexity into even the most complex and difficult passages! The only thing I could think while she was playing was how astonished and thrilled Beethoven himself would be to hear her play it, and how inspired and driven he would be to write something for her and her guitar!
This is an arrangement by Dr Viossy. This was apparently the last of the set of videos recorded by her teacher in 2016 when she was 17 years old. She's absolutely incredible. Name me only one guitarist who can play this piece, Moonlight Sonata, like this or better. In fact, there is a video that features both and Dr Viossy for you to check out, to prove my point. It's the closest you get, after all, it's his arrangement. Check out the remaining 13 covers that she did if you will. I like your reaction.
Wow, she flies across that fret board like she has an extra four brains for her left hand. To say that was impressive would be the understatement of the year.

Damn. She’s the absolute best not just female but the world best guitarist I’ve ever seen. Her dedication is no match whatsoever. She can play these songs blind folded. She hardly looks at her fretboard. Absolutely stunning and to a tee. WOW. I’m lost for words. I hear that she’s finished university and is now playing in a band called SPIN TWICE. I’ve been a huge fan of Tina. I hope she does more covers.
she was 17 at the time and she took up music pretty young from what I read, she has been described as a prodigy to some extent. I have watched her video of this maybe 50 times and never tire of it.
There used to be other videos of here that were taken down, when she was 5 or 6, playing a full size classical guitar. She probably doesn't even remember life before guitar.
@@Tijuanabill Her first video when she was 8 only ! Tina interview : "My first guitar was a classical guitar with which I started the academy of classical music at the age of 6 years. It was an Alvaro."

"Playing was a real goal, I'm very proud of its success."
Her vibrato is the way it is because as a toddler, she learned classical first. So that vibrato is like that of a violinist. She raps with her second, third AND fourth fingers. Most to Rick the pick in their pinky, but she keeps it where it is supposed to be and does the tapping with the other 3 fingers. Also from her finger picking as a classical guitarist when she was little. I don’t know of anyone better than her here. Even Mr. Lee did a reaction to her playing his, through the fire and the flames, and he was impressed. He asked her on his video to contact him and come play with them when they are in Europe. Her picking speed on that one is insane and she never seems to look tired.
I’m not a violin expert but I don’t think the vibrato is produced the same way as on guitar on account it has no frets. Plus vibrato on violin goes above and below the fundamental note whereas guitar vibrato is only sharp of the main pitch….if you ask me, that’s Zack Wylde vibrato all day. Having said that, the violin is probably why she took up electric guitar so quickly. ✌️

Check YT and other interpretations of the same by other guitarists, none comes close to her level of precision, just a fact. The other great thing about Tina is that her talent is more than enough to get millions of views and SHE does not need to show off her body to get clicks the others can only dream of. She just killed the game, she is the reference to guitar excellence. I wish she played hours of classical music on the electric guitar. I would then buy all her records.
I know it's been a while for this video to have dropped. But in all honesty, Tina has done a lot for the aspiring musicians. She is a legend and her talent will live on for centuries. Yo Mike, thanks for sharing. I’ve seen just a bit of her growth but at 69, I have not seen another 17 yr old playing this level. It’s going to be fun watching her grow.
She is crazy good, and that she plays Dr Viossy's guitar transcription note for note is totally insane. Even if i cannot play even as half as good like her, i admire her playing and get inspired from watching it.
You should check out her cover of Dragonforce's through the fire and flames. It's insane! Herman Li of Drangonforce reacted to her cover and was blown away. He gave her an open invite to jam with him or the band anytime she wants in his reaction.
She's the first female guitarist to shatter my stereotype on "chicks shredding." Yea, perhaps naively sexist but when you see her also play Yngwie, Vai, and Becker with pretty modest accuracy before the age of 18, kinda humbles any sane guy. Despite just coming back to RUclips, she took a long hiatus, and many speculate it may have been attributed to the toxic side of RUclips, of a bunch of man-children either being perverts or outright insulting her playing if she missed a single note, as if these armchair guitarists could muster half her skill twice her age. She's a true guitar enthusiast gem.
RUclips can be brutal sometimes. I hope she’s ok. Maybe she just needed time to figure out how to turn these skills into her “voice”? I wanna see what she does now.
@@michaelgoyettemusic She actually addressed this issue herself after she came back with her new band. She stated that the trolls had nothing to do with it and that she simply ignored them because she was simply too busy living her life to bother with them. Proper sort of attitude, if you ask me.
To make it the best guitar performance possible and get the best tone, or sound, Tina (in the blink of an eye) switches 7 times from the neck pickup to the bridge pickup and vice versa, in a very specific part of the 3rd movement. If you concentrate, you might see it or hear a very slight noticeable change of tone. God, how much more precise tone-wise can you get. Even the seasoned pros don’t have this level of «finesse ». On the vigier escalibur custom guitar, Tina’s guitar, the pickup switch has 5 positions and Tina has chosen the 2 very best one for your pure enjoyment.
She’s amazing but lots of ppl switch pickups mid solo. The bridge and neck are the most common solo tones. The neck sounds warmer but things like harmonics don’t come through as well as on the bridge pick up which also has more clarity than the neck. Rule of thumb for distorted guitar, use the neck to smooth out fast passages and the bridge to make it scream. Go have some fun with that. ✌️
cool. quick tip, and a deeep rabbit hole, Epica - Once upon a nightmare - Omega alive concert. it has a fantastic piano / guitar intro, sounds incredible. not shredding guitar, just delicious sound:-)
I have followed Tina on RUclips for years, and she is the very definition of 'a child prodigy' (given that she has been playing since she was very young).
I love your reaction brother because I discovered her a couple years ago myself and I had the same reaction and it never gets tiring to hear her play and yes she is better and she's got a new band I think she's about 23 or 24 today she is a talent that probably only comes around once in a millennium
See you've checked out Band-Maid. Have you heard of Lovebites? Fan of 80s metal - Metallica, Megadeth, Priest, Maiden? If so, you have to check out Lovebites. Not to mention they have two lead guitarists that I haven't seen play like they do since Becker / Friedman...virtuoso level. I would check out Judgement Day live 2023 from their official YT channel. Wonderful backstory with these ladies, vocalist (Asami) has R&B background, drummer is 4' 9" aka Little Big Engine and doesn't miss a beat. New bassist, 21yr old virtuoso Fami who slaps bass with the best of them. Incredible musicianship, hope you'll check them out. 🤘
She slayed it. She knows it. Amazing. Love her satisfied smirk at the end. Beethoven was a rock god. His audiences were limited by the instruments of his time. But his music remains beautiful and relevant with whatever instrument is used to hit our ears with his brilliance.
All her covers are great, but her covers of For the Love of God by Steve Vai, and Altitudes by Jason Becker. You can check Tina out now with her band SpinTwice.
She started classical guitar lessons at the age of 6 years old and later studied under jazz-rock guitarist Renaud Louis-Servais and she was covering Eddie Van Halen at age 9. She's literally a child prodigy! She formed a rock band a few years ago and has a few performances on RUclips today! The latest video of her band is about a year ago!
Now you should listen to her covers of "Altitudes" by Jason Becker and "For the love of God" by Steve Vai, those are probably her most intense covers except for this Beethoven one.
You're correct she IS a Savant. I've been here 81 years and I've never seen ANYONE blow the doors off this instrument quite like she does. She's playing all these notes from memory and its been stated that she did not miss a single one. She needs to make an album of all her covers. What an absolutely awesome player, huh? And btw she's still cute upon her recent return however she's now 25 and of course has changed a bit since these days. What I love about her is that she does not need to flaunt anything she lets her play do all the talking.
I'm not a huge fan of shredding but she has such incredible efficiency of movement I couldn't look away. How can so many sounds come from such little movement?

She's not laughing She's concentrating as she plays this arrangement by ear and from memory! Cool reaction! Tina's amazing
That’s the same as laughing 😂
Tina S, is one of the best guitarists out there. She is so talented.
She is crazy good, and that she plays Dr Viossy's guitar transcription note for note is totally insane. Even if i cannot play even as half as good like her, i admire her playing and get inspired from watching it.
Tina S 🔥🔥🔥
Yo, that was freaking amazing. She is amazing.
Yes and yes and Yo!
Jason Becker - "Altitudes" Tina Nails It!
Her Dragonforce cover is freakin insane ❤
You should go and watch some Lovebites videos.
She may have taken a couple liberties which is a good thing. She has originality which means she's a artist
She's better than Jeff
@@michaelgoyettemusic She actually addressed this issue herself after she came back with her new band. She stated that the trolls had nothing to do with it and that she simply ignored them because she was simply too busy living her life to bother with them. Proper sort of attitude, if you ask me.
Holy crap, Boy that bass player was rockin' too!
I’m not sure of the origins of the backing track.
@@michaelgoyettemusic This is Dr Viossy backing track. The tape is for sale on his RUclips page.
@@michaelgoyettemusic Thanks. Love your Channel.
Bloody hell! She plays G3 under the table 😍. Genius!!!!
A Goddess of Guitar!!
I don't like electric guitar but this BLEW MY MIND!
Absolutely amazing! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
cool. quick tip, and a deeep rabbit hole, Epica - Once upon a nightmare - Omega alive concert.
it has a fantastic piano / guitar intro, sounds incredible. not shredding guitar, just delicious sound:-)
I have followed Tina on RUclips for years, and she is the very definition of 'a child prodigy' (given that she has been playing since she was very young).
Wow Just Wow.!!🥰
Wow, someone that could give Nuno a run for his money. Thanks for sharing! And yo, I watched the whole thing
Looking around like she does this to relax.
When shredding was my thing many years ago….I remember it being like meditation. You’re right. ✌️
Tina S. is awesome! I think she went to college and hasn't posted anything in a while, but yes, she's damned good!
I love your reaction brother because I discovered her a couple years ago myself and I had the same reaction and it never gets tiring to hear her play and yes she is better and she's got a new band I think she's about 23 or 24 today she is a talent that probably only comes around once in a millennium
She makes it look so easy.
she disappeared for a few yrs after this video was posted and just reappeared in a band a few months back called spin twice
I have a request. Reach out to every hall of famed rock/metal guitarist and see if they can match this young lady…. Oh my goodness
No way. This IS a Savant we're listening to here.
WOW! John Mclaughlin move over. Al DiMiola and Carlos..sit down. A queen is born. She's in a class by herself.
She slayed it. She knows it. Amazing. Love her satisfied smirk at the end. Beethoven was a rock god. His audiences were limited by the instruments of his time. But his music remains beautiful and relevant with whatever instrument is used to hit our ears with his brilliance.
💯
This kid has chops!!!!! Hats off to her!!! Nice tone also. Mr. Malmstine himself would be proud of her I think.Well done young one!!!!
She is great !!!!
I've been following Her since she was like 13.... She stepped Out, and Joined a band.. Last I've seen/Heard of Here. She's Amazing!!!!!
She is an excellent guitar player .
Michael: "This is truly insane!" lol
All her covers are great, but her covers of For the Love of God by Steve Vai, and Altitudes by Jason Becker. You can check Tina out now with her band SpinTwice.
Hey, I know that look! It's the same one I had when I first saw this.
Tina S. has Been Amazing Us for Several Years... But she dipped out of her peak/Limelight, when she was like 19.... We ALL Miss Her.
What i mean, is I wish She Had more content..
Rock is still alive!
Now you should listen to her covers of "Altitudes" by Jason Becker and "For the love of God" by Steve Vai, those are probably her most intense covers except for this Beethoven one.
She starts off like a rocket. That guitar is smokin’ from the get go.
She's a Savant, who disappeared (rightfully so). I hope she does whatever makes her happy. ,
You're correct she IS a Savant.
And she makes it look so effortless!
LvB is headbanging in his grave! Had he been born today the Electric guitar would have been his choice of instrument!
I'm not a huge fan of shredding but she has such incredible efficiency of movement I couldn't look away. How can so many sounds come from such little movement?
Yo that was truely epic, what a talent!!!!!!
