Loving the tattoos in the jesmonite. They look so nice & the colours you chose are lovely. You got me into the tattoos in resin a while back & these look just as good. Thanks for showing the way it didn't work as well as the one that did it really helps x
I loved the idea of using the transfers. Let's hope you can find a better sealant. It as a great try. You are so creative. I am sure you will a way soon. I am LOVING you channel. Thanks for being such an inspiration ❤
Love these Claire 🥰 I think even if you sand back and respray it would come up the same, I think the sealant isn't self levelling so might always leave that mottled finish. Still beautiful though.
Love the colours and love the tattoos. It's possible the pitting in the clear coat was caused by residual moisture in the Jesmonite, maybe try leaving them for a few days before spraying multiple very light layers, allowing them to dry between layers. You shouldn't need to sand them at all.
Hi Claire Iv this spray and iv used it to seal my resin key rings Iv painted with acrylic -I got this mottled effect at first , it was because I had sprayed to much on - Iv been using the spray again tonight, try very very light coats and let dry in between coats , Iv done 3 very light coats tonight, I love the trays BTW 💕
Can’t wait for another one of your amazing videos 💜💜💜 May I ask, what colour pigments would you recommend are best to use. There are so multiple shades of red, yellow and blue. Would love to hear your thoughts 💭
Heyyyyy Mariana .... with Jesmonite you can only use Jesmonite pigments .... and there's only 5 or 6 colours available ... so you have to develop your own shades and colours from those x ❤
Orange peeling next time you can try standing back further and spray a very light coat when that's dry you can very lightly sand it then spray them with another very light coat and see if that works better for you
@@ClairesCraftyCorner hi Claire, so you can use resin with jesmonite? I don't know why I thought if you pour resin on jesmonite or half half they won't be one piece 😵🤔😵
I wish I’ve waited a little! I have tried it and didn’t work for me either but the tattoo was ruined as small parts of it did stick to the jesmonite a little bit! Anyway now we know we can put them only after demoulding! 🙂
Love the green with the feather tattoos! Could you maybe try with the spray smoothing it out with a brush after you apply with the spray? Maybe it would turn out with a smoother finish?
I use that can all the time. Two tips: lighter coats and spray from much higher up in continuous motions from off the piece then over then off (overshoot on each pass). Should eliminate that texture you got pretty well 😉
Heyy Vincent ... thank you so much .. I will try again for sure. I am so sorry about Jesmonite not being available in the USA ... I never knew this when I started x
Hiya Claire Thanks for the great video! Can’t wait to try it out! I was just wondering if there was another way to seal the tattoos without using a resin top coat? Thanks so much for sharing your pearls of wisdom Xxxx
hello, I love your channel, I'm looking to start to work with jesmonite, I couldn't found where did you buy it, any recommendations shipping to Ireland?Thnak you💕💕
Heyyyyy lovely thabk you so much that means a lot xx ... You actually have a Jesmonite Stockist in Cork ..... If you Google Jesmonite Stockists Ireland .... it will come up ❤❤❤❤
Thank you Claire for this tutorial too I'm really learning alot from you 🌷🌷🌷 If you don't mind me asking I really need to know if it is possible using vinyl on jesmonite if so is should be before or after demolding? And do I have to seal it after ? I really like the matt finish of the jesmonite. Thank you in advance and I'm sorry I asked so many questions.💕💕💕
heyyyy lovely .... thank you so much really glad they are helping. Yes you can use Vinyl on Jesmonite ... that is on my list of videos to do .. You need to add vinyl .. 24 hours after de mould. This is to make sure the jesmonite is totally dry and no moisture inside before sticking vinyl x You can seal with normal sealer ... or you can resin top coat ... or you can leave not sealed if you use permanant vinyl xxx
@@ClairesCraftyCorner thank you so much for your help , I do understand it's not easy to take from your time and reply almost all the comments so again thank youuuu 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷💕💕💕💕💕
hey lovely .. I have not worked it out as I usually make more than one and throw leftovers in another mould .... but the finish weight is around 300g ..
Heyyyy lovely ... no I have not tried the Jesmonite 730 ... Check out Virginia O studios ... she has used it I believe. She is on Instagram and Tik Tok x
It's not the spray sealant that was the problem per say. The "mottled" look you got as your end result is something called "orange peel". You get this when you spray to close to the surface of your piece and/or the nozzle is clogged or faulty. This is very common with cheap spray cans. You can buy packs of nozzles that spray much better for a good price so you're not wasting your product.
heyyyy Kitty .. I have not yet but then I have so much I have not been searching x I have heard you can use flexiguard for the AC730 and people are also using tile and stone sealer xx
@@danielacristinadicu9905 is that Jeamonite ? Soaking helps for sure .... I do find that I sometimes need a brush too ... if I'm working alone and not filming for a video then I wash immediately xxxx but not always easy

Lots of helpful tips, thank you 👏👏
Glad it was helpful lovely xxx !
The orange peel effec tin the varnish might have occured because the trays were a bit too warm in the sun. These look such fun to make.
Heyyy Rebecca, that is such a good point it may be that because I did have them out in the sun xx
I don't think the gloss is bad - if u want a texture, it works! 😆
Did u find a sealant for jesmonite besides a resin topcoat? ❤❤

Hi Claire, in paint, you would call this orange peel, but how long will it last before the finish stars to lift.
hi John ... long time :) hope you are well .. I dont think it will lift.
