- Installing some eBay fender flares on my 1988 Chevrolet c1500
I originally purchased these on eBay for $140 but I heard the seller raised the price way up so I removed the link to them. Just search eBay and find the ones without the holes on the outside.
The link goes to flares that are over $1K.
I think I bought the last set of these in existence
How much for the truck? You don’t sound tired or proud of it

What type of drill did you use and how was the drilling into the plastic? Did you already have factory drill holes on the fender? I have some and I'm worried that I gonna be a pain to try and match them to the factory ones or if not where should make my drill marks. Thanks
I just used self taping screw and randomly drilled them into the inside lip of the fender

How many MM do they add do you think it’s possible to get the wheels to be flush with those flares on a truck that has 4/6 drop with 20’s all the way around
I suppose it can be done or at least I don’t see any reason it couldn’t

@@mosierwerks they look good on the truck have you seen the carcass OBS pro touring Chevy the fender flares look fukin Rad on that truck too I have a 98 regular cab shortbed sierra that I wanna build similar to that truck by similar the only thing I mean is the fender flares lol but 1st thing on the list is swapping the front end mines the single headlight base work truck front end i can’t decide if want to do 88-93 grille with glass quad headlights or 94-98 composite headlight I use to really love the 88-93 sealed beam but on gmc I don’t like single piece corner parking lights I feel like its makes the front end a little weird lookin I heard you can run the sealed beam lights on 94-98 grille which is most likely what I’ll do

I deleted my fender flares and wanna put screws or something in the existing holes, would the inserts and screws work for that?
I doubt it.
Did the fender flares come with they own set of mounting screws ?
They came with a set plastic mounting screw / inserts but I didn’t like them so I just used self taping metal screws
