Pantelis Koullias lol. Allthough many drivers who do track work, will fully suit up to when playing games like R Factor 2 etc to fully simulate the experience. How the sound changes, How you get hot in the racing suit. How the shoes feel. Everything. What I'd love to see is a "gaming helmet" with sound, mic, and Project Morpheus (or occulus rift for PC) all integrated ;) Ultimate driving simulator. Who needs a screen and speakers? ;)
Idk why he is wearing the helmet but its better to wear gloves because your hands can get tired

TheRealMarksMan I tried using paintball gloves on a track day in my Chrysler. Bad idea. Zero grip. Took them straight off before my lap even begun lol

Just finding out only "certain" games work for this particular wheel. I see in a couple different articles that Need For Speed does work but only certain ones. I own Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered. Does anyone know if that game will work? Also could it possibly work but just be missing some features?
So the price is much higher, the shifter is now sold separately, and they didn't even bother to fix that annoying clunking noise that the G27 made?!? Lazy Logitech..

dustinr16 Hi man. Hey, I purchased both of them this past week because I wanted to see the difference myself. Both of them were mounted to a wheelstand pro deluxe version 2. I used them both on the ps4 with project cars. I can tell you that once you use the T300RS, you cannot go back and use the G29. It's force feedback is not as fine grained, so to speak, as the T300. You will feel everything on the Thrustmaster product. I know it costs more to get a good set of T3PA pedals and TH8A shifter (which, by the way, is the single coolest controller thing ever), but it is like comparing a professional sim tool to a toy. The G29 has ample torque considering it uses two smaller servo motors versus the one larger servo in the T300. I do like the G29 pedals even more so than the T3PA pedals, but I am not keeping this wheel just for the pedals. I have to box it up this week to send it back to Logitech. If it didn't rattle like it does under load, I would say that I would potentially keep it because it is a bit cheaper. You do, however, get what you pay for. That thrustmaster is incredible. I'm so glad i tried both out. I know the TH8A shifter is 129 dollars right now. Usually its about 150. I just wanted to let you know because usually folks don't buy both to try both. I had to do it because I didn't want to wonder what the other one was like. I do like the leather feel of the G29, but overall man, get that T300RS. It's out of this world by comparison. I hope this helps. If you want to ask any other questions, please let me know.
hypoluxa90 Would you buy a fix i made for the clanking noise if you could get it for under 60$... ? The dead sone will also be gone with it. No rattling sound when driving on kerbs .. etc..
hypoluxa90 I also have had 2 thrustmaster t300 wheels and i got a g29.
The g29 makes it easier to catch slides in my opinion. Something about the t300 wheels that makes catching slides seem to be harder to do, not sure what it is though.
The only thing i don't like about the g29 is that you cant alter the degrees of rotation. And that is a problem with the game F1-2015, as that game is optimised to work with 360 degrees of rotation.
The logitech wheels have a much longer lifespan than the Thrustmaster wheels too. So that is also something to consider.
I'm gonna keep both of the wheels. At least if one breaks down i will have a back up.

sorry, and i would not recommend to do it your self either because it involves modifying/changing the motors.
I am considering to produce and sell a DIY kit if there is enough interest in something like this.

The clanking sound can be eliminated in both Assetto Corsa and Project Cars 2 by fine tuning your wheel settings in those games. You do not have to live with that sound.

I understand the G27 is really similar to the G29, and that makes me wonder, can these steering wheels still be drastically improved to a point where it is worth upgrading?
MrAlexanderHwang The internals are pretty mucb identical to the G27 ,definitely not worth the upgrade.
Upgrade to a belt-driven brushless motor wheel like the T300 if you want to upgrade from a G27.
MrAlexanderHwang the ONLY reason to "upgrade" is if you've ditched ya PS3 and got a PS4. G27 doesn't work with PS4 so many of us are now stuck with nothing to use for racing games. Cheapest fix....buy a used PS3 :D
I'd be keeping an eye on how the price drops after Christmas and all the hype is gone. And also wait and see if they do a bundle that INCLUDES the shifter. The current price model is robbery. Dont forget though, if your favorite cars are modern ferrari's etc, they dont have a stick shift anymore ;)
If this wheel came with the shifter AND they'd put force feedback into the pedals (the missing piece of the puzzle imho) then hell yeah I'd buy it tomorrow. As it is, this is an over-priced "PS4 compatible G27" is all it is.

I just got my G29 today! Full of excitement I set it up on my PC and
installed the software. Turns out, when I turn the wheel it decides
that it wants to randomly press a bunch of buttons. I have looked at
MANY reviews on RUclips and oddly enough, none of them had the issue
that I and many others have with this hardware. It's a shame.
**BUYER BEWARE** The hardware seems to be shoddy at best. Drop that $400 knowing you have a good chance your device will be trash. The Logitech forums just redirect you to Tech Support or elsewhere to get the issue fixed. So don't bother checking there either.

the way you're holding the wheel... for a racing game..... is not a great idea, it works for precise turning like lane switching and on real roads, which would work better for a sim like Euro Truck simulator, but this is a racing game where you need to be able to do the full turn quickly because you're driving fast

Had t300rs, failed twice in a year. Got rid. Had Logitech wheels and never had an issue .

Good review : ) The loud rattling exhibited at video mark 5:30 to 5:50 is quite simply unacceptable for a higher end wheel in this day. With dual motors and helical cut gears it should not be doing that at all. I have an older Logitech wheel, the Driving Force Pro, and it still does not make any rattling sound like shown in this video. It has been used for years an I only disassembled it once to add some light weight grease to the gears. The G29 also is not compatible with about one half of the racing games released for the PS4 so far, and that is also not acceptable for $400. I was considering switching to the G29 after my T300RS stripped its belt drive after only about 20 hours of play but it seems each wheel has its own huge internal defect issues. I'm waiting for my T300 repair and will cross my fingers that it lasts a little longer this time. Great review though. : )

Just got one, I'm not sure if I like the gear paddels, they will cut your hand, So I have padded them to prevent spin and cutting my fingers.
I have a question! The G29 shifter is not compatible with the PS3 so I've heard. Does that mean if we want to play with a shifter on the PS3 we will need to use the G27 set up? Or is there a viable replacement shifter we can use?

so does this wheel use a motor to turn the wheel back to its neutral state when you go around a turn, like in a real car? How does he review this but not mention WHAT force feedback really does.
