What the point of getting a gearstick and pedals if you don't use the clutch?
Can you set it up in the setting to use the clutch is it optional or useless?
A its optional i have on forza 6 an option to use clutch while shifting

well a lot of these new super cars don't even have a clutch pedal soo.. you could use the gear shifter on the older cars and paddle shifters on the new cars without the clutch pedal

+Booredatwork.com The thing missing now is Forza working with Virtual Reality like the Oculus Rift or similar. Something I hate in racing games is that you have little feeling of how far away things are. That is not how it works in real life. In real life your peripheral vision is wider and for splitsecs at a time you can move your helmet a little if you sense someone is about to pass you. You also have a precise view of how close you are to the person in front of you and how far away the next corner is.
I've competed in national championships in KF2 gocarting(same weight/hp as a Porsche Carrera). My best position is 5th nationally, but I'm too heavy and I have too little money to go further.
I was also 3rd on the global ladder in NFS:Underground back in 2004 and 7th on the global ladder in Trackmania: Nations Forever.

would rather throw on a bit more and the thrust master. better build quality. not just pure plastic. I had this wheel, sent it back 2weeks later and bought the Tx. love that much more

NoName. NoName. Not trying to speak for the other person, as he seems a bit blunt and underdeveloped in the argument department, but things like missing gears, accidentally skipoing gears and stuff like that show his inexperience with a manual gearbox

Pedal shifters are actually the shoulder buttons and the buttons on the front are the stick clicks.
i bought this on saturday,and i just «Love» it.
i will start on Forza 6 tomorrow,have been playing F18 all day today. Going to drive an real Lamborghini Huracan next month. Am so excited. i know real driving is not the same as simulator driving,so i will just have real sim fun before i go drive sportscar in real. 😃

+EDEN'S Gaming VAULT Xbox One already had a wheel. The Thrustmaster TX. Came out a year earlier than this. And this shares the same platform for the PS4 but its called G29.

The clutch pedal is indeed for show. Logitech put it there to fool people into buying thinking they get an actual clutch pedal, but when they test it out it doesn't work at all. Probably a inside joke from Logitech

Thank you so much for this review, it helped me tip over and actually shell out for the wheel and shifter. Your forza skills are waaay off though, coming out of turn1 at third gear at 2000rpm :D

Man I just bought an Xbox One about 2 weeks ago,bought Forza 6 a couple days after and have been playing it everyday since,now after watching this video I don't know how I can play Forza 6 using a controller after seeing this badass steering wheel and pedal set in action. Seriously think the old lady will flip out if I spend $400 and have a steering wheel and pedals sitting around the living room......

I used to have a G27, I loved it but the only problem I had is trying to find a table and space in my room for it be comfortable to play. The only way I have played on this wheel comfortably is at my friends house who has the whole seat setup and that just costs too much in money and space for me.
If you push the shifter down and shift into 6th gear,that's the reverse gear in the shifter

great wheel however the Shifter is shaking Too much I'd suggest adding something to the table if the back clamp isn't working. oh and for your back you might want to use a bigger table and have the wheel closer, that setup simply looks uncomfortable and can't be good for a normal play session.

nice review dude! is the wheel constantly giving you feedback or just when you run up the rumble strip etc?? also if you let go of the wheel out of a corner etc does it return to the centre as the wheels line up like a normal car type thing?? also how good is the rumble on this?
The G920 is always giving you feedback it's a strong solid wheel and when you let go it will centre itself. Everything feels good it doesn't feel cheap at all it's well made if you're looking for a good wheel then id recommend this. I have one it's great

great review! your driving could improve but i think its only due to your setup, if everything was setup properly your pedal control would be much greater. 9/10 starts from me, fuck it 9.5/10 idk what a 10 would be ill have to wait and find out

Is there a quick shifter or just that 6 speed shifter? Or can you use that as a quickshift? Gear up = 1st gear, gear down = 2nd gear..
Your driving position looks uncomfortable af and you should learn how to use a clutch bud.
at 4:29 when he rammed all the way up gear 3, i would have put it on neutral and used the brakes to turn it swiftly, then when the turn was sufficient to keep the car steady enough, back in 3rd gear and take off on the 4th gear
If you used the brakes in neutral and tried to go bake into 4th you would not accelerate it would be very slow
Sir i don think your ok with manual. Play The Game Again look In The Back of the steering Wheel youll see a manual to help u without pushing the clutch thats easier for u to win the race the right is Up and the left is downshifting

Why does it have that 0.5 - 1 second gap between your gear shift and the game gear shift?
The shifter doesn't seem so sturdy at 1:40. That can be tightened up well?
it's all plastic. so be care full when tightening
im not sure if it was the clutch assist or what but the shifting seemed to be a second or so behind him changing gears, it seems like the paddle shifters would have been a better choice but the shifter looks nice. The 920 is on sale here in for 200$ ive been doing a little research and it seems like this is one of the top 3 choices in the "Cheap" section. if there is a better on please let me know=)

You really need to work on your gear shifting. Early shifting and you should youse a lower gear to get speed faster...
do you have to download a software or is that steering wheel just enough and the settings for the steering wheel in the game such that it turns nice and sharp

+Anujit Ganguly The pedals and steering wheel are real stainless steel. The overall plastic housing is good quality. The shifter. Well it will get very loose over a period of time.

Really nice review, I got mine yesterday and had a blast playing it, the only thing that was weird for me is the breaks which you really have to hit hard, but I noticed you said that it is adjustable?
Yes it is adjustable. I didn't need to adjust mine. But I had friends come over and I had to adjust it

on connecting to my xbox one the wheel did nothing. the light just kept flashing. i tried the 3 button manual calibration to no effect. any help would be appreciated.

Does the steering wheel have vibration and a motor to simulate how power steering feels in real life? I wanna get a setup but its expensive. Lol

Can safely say that the clutch pedal won’t see any use or wear. The gearstick is useless for any vehicle that’s above 6 gears and seems to cheapen the gameplay. I head that there’s a bit of a dead zone which makes it useless for the Horizon series.. anyone had this issue?
How does it feel compared to a real car?
What if the car has 7 gears? It will use the revervse position as 7th?

Thanks for review, don’t want to be a hater but shame you’re in wrong gear a lot of the time. Plus got a clutch pedal and not using it??? I’d have a taller surface so wheel is higher and pedals are further forward as you’ll be able to use both feet for left foot braking. Only thinking I’d feel uncomfortable with wheel so low. Other than that your review has made me want to go and buy one so you’ve done something right 👍

When mounting how far can the clamps drop??? i have a 4 inch thick desk and just wanted to know if i could mount the wheel to it.
