Personally, I'm finding all of this wheel stuff totally off.
I only own a PS4, but some people own both consoles. I find it totally unfair that if they want to play driving games properly on both consoles, they would need to fork out for two wheels that are basically identical.
It's totally unfair, and no reason one wheel couldn't work on both consoles. More so when all these wheels work on pc, so windows pc drivers could probably work on xbox too
+grandmasterj5 ha, and all those years I couldn't get a G25 > G27 for my 360. These days you only need one console for proper driving games, the Xbox One.
+grandmasterj5 You can thank Microsoft and Sony for that. They apparently won't give out a license if it works with both systems. Fanatec did a workaround by selling different wheels that you can mount on one base.

I'm happy for the Xbox crowd that they're finally getting the treatment they deserve, as I BADLY wanted to play Forza on the 360, but the lack of authentic wheels were an issue.
I think the perfect setup though, is the T300 GT Edition (or G29 if you prefer Logitech), because it works on PS4, PS3, and PC, and thanks to MS, we can play Forza on PC at 60 fps with the proper rig. Horizon 3 looks amazing at 60FPS, and I can't wait for Forza Motorsport 7 to come out. You can also play GT6 on PS3 and GT Sport and the next games when they come out, so I think that's the best current setup, which is only possible again thanks to MS being so badass and flexible with bringing their main racing franchise to PC.
Here's hoping the port Horizon 2 to PC one day, as that game was also amazing!
Kinect pairing just means that if you are playing with other people taking turns it will recognise who has the controller and sign that person in to their gamertag. So if you 2 were doing say a race each Kinect would recognise you by your face and recognise you holding the wheel so lap times, race results, achievements unlocked earned during your turn would be recorded to your own gamer tag without needing to manually switch profiles.

This is a great wheel but when i use it on pc it re calibrates itself in the middle of playing Project Cars which gets frustrating and i cant seem to find a fix for it.
just bought me one right now. coming in 3 days cant wait
bought this wheel, on offer in the uk in PC world for £179.99, been playing Forza Horizon 2 & its pretty good,,, at that price it seems good value to me, (10 hr stright session on it yesterday & works fine)... great channel guys

Dear Darin, about the infrared sensor of the steering wheels of Thrustmaster, I always thought it would determine the best FOV relative to TV, But I've never done any test, this can be verified?

Hello, I was wondering something. This steering wheel uses electric zmotors with brushes, when these will consume as in all brush motors how do you do? 🙄
The kinect pairing allows when one player is playing then you finish and allow maybe a friend to play it will sign them into the account fast and easy
Really wanted to order a Thrustmaster after this review. Got the G920 anyway to see what it's about and I am honestly not disappointed. "Chatter" is almost non existing in my wheel. Ordered from logitech website with shifter and Gtomega rig after quite a bit of searching around thanks to your reviews. Dead zone is another non issue but I have only ran it with Forza 6. I feel it's a quality setup and I don't have buyers remorse. Would like to run Darren sometime on Forza. C'mon bro!

When will the review for that 599xx evo30 rim you have behind you come out? I really want to hear your thoughts on it before I pull the trigger.

627 shifter does work on the g920 and g29 im pretty sure
G27 shifter can be used with a usb hack
Look at the delay on the virtual wheel... :/ Some of those games look shocking to play.
that is just how it looks on the camera it is not like that irl. it is weird but in irl there is no delay

What setting do you use for the g920 on forza 6 and project cars. As I have found it hard to find the right setting that work well for it.
I am wondering if the shifter from g27 will work with g920 (I know it works with g29). Btw nice review.
Hi guys, i know it's an old video but while watching again I picked up on the "What does the Kinect sensor link even do?" part. I think that I can answer this for you. It was intended for "family and group" use so that the Xbox could use face recognition to change between driver profiles and settings when someone else sat down at the wheel automatically. That's about it I'm afraid. Thanks for all the great vids. Keep up the good work.
I think in game optimization and settings also plays a big part on deadzones. Newer games have some options to tweak deadzones to very responsive to less responsive and from what I have observed and heard the logitech g29/920 performed very well with the deadzone issue.

The reason for the Kinect led was for head movement I think.

How do you get Forza Motorsport to recognize the Driving Force Shifter? I can’t get it to work in either FM 6 or 7 on my Xbox One!
The Kinect actually used to be used as a head tracker. So you could turn you head a few degrees and your driver would look into the corner in your driving games. It was a great feature and as you can imagine since people on PC use IR trackers to do the same thing, it was a worthwhile feature. But sadly they removed support for this as fast as it was implemented. The only game I can remember having the Kinect head tracking was Forza Motorsports 4, which I used to the head tracking to get more angle while I was drifting and tandeming. Since I could look in the direction I was driving / sliding, without pressing any buttons or using the second analog stick. It was great and would easily make you a better driver. Your head doesn't stay still when you drive a real car.
the pairing light on the tx was for when you switch players the Xbox would know to switch profiles

I'd speculate the Kinect pairing could be used for head tracking like some peripherals do on PC... maybe?

is 256 steps of resolution on the pedals that bad? I can't imagine it would make any noticeable difference whatsoever vs having more say 512

Can someone help me? I've just bought this wheel and I can't get Forza 6 to recognise the clutch and shifter. This may be because I cannot find the setting anywhere to turn it back to manual.
Also, I cannot get euro truck simulator 2 set up with the wheel and shifter properly at all unless I set the shifter type to sequential but it doesn't feel right then as mine is the actual shifter in this video and not a sequential. Please can someone help or point me in the right direction. This is my first wheel so I'm a noob at all this.

Great vid guys! I bought mine based on this review alone. Just got it today, and I am a bit disappointed. Maybe because it's my first wheel setup.
The Issue that I'm having is that during oversteer situations, it as if the wheel takes on a life of its own, trying countersteer lock. It's like I'm fighting with the wheel for control!
Btw, all assists are off and steering is simulation mode. Or is this something that I have to get used to??

on connecting to my xbox one the wheel did nothing. the light just kept flashing. i tried the 3 button manual calibration to no effect. any help would be appreciated.

Im using this wheel for Horizon 4, FM7 and now PC1/2 and holy shit.. its so great with Project Cars! I feel like its way more realistic with those games than it is with Forza

Solid review! I've owned this wheel for exactly a week now, and I love it! Been using a G27 for 5 years, and I could immidiatley tell a difference in the smoother iternals. Sure, the deadzone it still there, but less of a factor than before. I feared that the wheel would be too simular to the G27, but I was very wrong indeed. The brake pedal was really weird for me to start with, bit the more I use the brake, the better it gets.
I do agree on both your pros and cons, but I would like to add that the wheel it self feels fantastic, and the flat bottom is genious! Also as mentioned, the wheel feels solid and well built, and it really feels that it will last for years to come as my G27 has.
Getting FM6 tomorrow as well, so can't wait for a proper test of the wheel, especially with my Playseat Revolution which makes every time I play to an utter joy. Highly reccommend this wheel to anyone in the market for a solid wheel for the XBOX ONE.

I want to do some serious drifting in for a horizon 4 on my Xbox one x. Will I need the shifter? And will it be realistic?
You wont NEED the shifter but it does make it alot more fun. Forza horizon 4 is not the best game in terms of response time with the wheel and ffb (from my experience) but it is still very fun. I would definitely recommend games like protect cars 2 or dirt rally on the xbox if you get the wheel. If you have a pc assetto corsa is the game to get.

I'm thinking on buying this wheel for forza 6 and will save alot of money because it already comes with three pedals and the shifter is only like 70 compared to Thrustmaster where it only comes with two pedals and I'll have to buy pedals and shifter for about 150 a piece. what do you all think?

hello, can anyone of you help me with a problem?? i bought a g920 today but the steering in F1 2015 is messed up, and i can't fix it. it is still in 900 degrees, and i read somewhere that you can change it to 360 degrees for F1 2015, but i don't know how
I brought this wheel but now the buttons do not work at all. I have checked Logitech's forum but couldn't find any solutions from there. if you have any suggestion what should I do that would be a great help.i have only used it for 2 day. Thank you

Hey, I want to show my dad my wheel, but he is usually really tough on steering wheels, he likes to push and pull on them when he is driving, (last time I let him use a wheel he ripped it of my desk on accident). Should this wheel be durable enough to let him drive with it. He's a strong guy and I don't want him to loosen the stiffness of the wheel. Thanks.
Get a $80 wheel stand with brace on both sides of wheel not the one with single pole between your legs on ebay. Made a mistake with stupid pole between legs wheel stand.

I have a question: While the base price for the Logitech g920 seems way too high, on Amazon it comes around $209-$250 on sale. My question is if I can get it for that price, should I get the Logitech or the Thrustmaster TMX pro?

I got one for Christmas but it doesn't work at all, it powers up and calibrates and then does nothing. Has anyone else got this issue?

Actually there is one logitech wheel released for Xbox 360, the DRIVE FX, so logitech has already done it for the MS console before the g920

This is exactly what I'm considering right now. The TMX is $199 CDN right now, and the G920 is $250 CDN (huge price drop for the 920). I've read nothing but excellent reviews for the TMX and several bad ones for the 920 (esp. the brake and gears on the 920) so I'm going to save $55 (w/tax) and get the TMX. Oddly this review says how much they love the brake, but I've lost count of the number of reviews by users that utterly hate it. Better safe than sorry IMO.
Hello, I just bought this wheel last week. I did not get the shifter and I am wondering if there is any way I can configure the paddle shifters to have auto clutch? Its kind of weird using the clutch with paddle shifters.
+Humberto Guerrero that would be an in-game adjustment. You playing Forza? When using the paddles, forza forces you to turn auto-clutch on or have to clutch it yourself. It's not right but that's how they do it.
If you select manual in the shifting options it should allow you to just use the paddles. Where as manual with clutch is your 3rd option
so if I had to get one for my pc which one of those two should I get
