- Been playing your sophisticated car racing games with a regular controller? Maybe it's time to step up to Logitech's G920 Driving Force system, which features a high-quality steering wheel, adjustable pedals and an optional 6-speed gear shift.
It's not cheap, but if you want excellent through-the-wheel feedback, a more immersive experience and better car control, this top-quality system is worth the cost. DT's Joshua Smith took it for a spin and has this review.

0:22 the warning I give all girls before they enter my room
LMFAOOOO
Only grab this thing for a real riiiiddeee...
best g920 review ive seen so far, im buying one and trying to watch reviews and this one was perfect, gives me all the info and is brief unlike others out there. good job mate keep it up
I think it is definitely worth it - I grabbed one dirt cheap from Currys PC World for like £170 including the 6 speed shifter :)
The wheel was like £130 and the shifter was about £39.99 if i remember right - definitely worth it though - ended up getting Wheel Stand Pro to make it more stable
Jaico Garcia thinking of getting this from Curry's what is the force feed back like (strength)
Jordan Watkin hey bud, the Force Feedback straight of the box is okay, but this can be adjusted in-game for example on Forza Horizon 3 my setup is:
Vibration Scale -> 35
Force Feedback Scale -> 55
Wheel Rotation Angle -540
These are on a sliding scale and can be adjusted to suit your needs/preferences
Jaico Garcia cheers mate will give it a go when I grab it cheers
Sounds like this guy was paid
Probably was.
Prolly. The one I had sucked sent it back and got $ back . Had a squeak and didn't turn smooth. Wasnt impressed.
Mono Lithic Lol mine has a squeak too. Tried WD40, didn’t work.
@@Deeznutzyamouth it is a common fault :( mine is fine thank god
Steering wheel great every thing but the brake ruins it... what a load of shiii. They put a rubber bung in the brake pedal to emulate a real pedal. No one hits the brake that hard in real life unless you are doing an emergency stop. And you can't use the entire breaking level unless you stand on it. Unusable for games. Ps4 one doesn't do it just the Xbox one...f ing retards
Excuse my language people I was well angry when I wrote this took it all back. I even emailed Logitech. No F'S given
Should've used the shifter too. I would never buy a set like this without a shifter.
same
prohit marker If it's supposed to simulate driving, then the shifter is the only reasonable choice. I've never even seen a car (IRL) with steering wheel buttons for gear shifting. It wouldn't be much of a simulation without a shifter, at least for me.
TabZa123 I know you commented 6 months ago but I'm gonna reply anyway 😂😂 the shifters on the wheel are paddle shifters on the back which replicate the super/sports cars of this day. I agree that the shifter is a better option but I was just making sure you knew:)
TabZa123 same
How have you not seen a car with paddle shifters???
What a sturdy table
Look at this guys feet you can tell he’s only ever driven an automatic
Haris Craig fr 🤣
he'd chug and stall a stick shift for about 10 minuntes before he got it down though, nobody drives automatic here and nobody who has to learn really struggles. Its not a skill lol
He can't drive, I have the same setup, and I only 15 years old and drive better Than him 😂
@@petya5314 im 12 and i do track records with a fucking keyboard ( '__')
Why does anyone care like it’s just a game as long as it’s fun there’s no need to tryhard
Do you even use the shifter?!?! If you don't I can take it!
You have to buy it separately so I don't think he has a shifter
If you buy it on amazon, you can get both at the same time, its just the 60 dollars extra +tax for both
wizardnil he's playing forza with all assists, automatic box and bumper cam, i dont think he knows which one the shifter is
Adam Witte he showed it in the video...
Adam Witte bruh
1:15 plug it into an outlet...yeah..it gets *that* serious.
Ikr it's not like it makes it expensive or serious. Lol
With actual wires?
Technology doesnt come cheap, thats the one thing, but with logitech, you pay for good quality.
yup, they make so much good stuff. i have a logitech mouse, usb and now pretty soon a g920 wheel :D
Actually not at all... The g920 uses outdated technology that's not even good anymore...
These are not worth it. There are better top quality brands out there that doesn't want $270 for a steering wheel. For the price of these, I can buy a brand new xbox one s console bundle.
@@peaceful4you408 heh, i dont think som racing on console is relevent anymore, maybe it is. the g920 is using the same super reliable dual motor setup from the g29, works exellent, i play dirt rally and assetto, a little bit of iRacing, this wheel is amazing for the price. if you want to compare prices of two completly different things, i could buy the very best top notch fanatec wheel and pedals with a seqential a H pattern and a handbrake plus if i wanted a play seat, that would cast me way more than 1,500 bucks cad prob even over 2,000, oorrrrr i could buy a used honda civic in decent condition
Facts
I bought the shifter and the Steering wheel for 268$ That's A Really good price when i hear you speaking about the wheel and how it feels and how good quality it was. Perfect!
Great review, thanks for keeping it short and giving us the important info right away
Love the review! I just wanted to say that you should add to the video that you can buy 2-year warranty or 3-year warranty on it. I bought the $500 Thrustmaster TX Racing wheel leather edition, which did not have a warranty, and it broke in just over a month. It has been 5 months and 23 days since it broke, and thrustmaster has not done anything to help me get a new wheel or fix the current one. I bought this wheel, and it had a warranty you could easily add for a cheap amount, for a long time. Yay Logitech!
my TX has recently gone screwy and I'm not even bothering. gonna go back to Logitech even though the FFB motor isn't as good as the trustmasters. NOTHING made by Logitech has broken on me so to me its worth it. shit I've even got a set of Logitech z4 speakers I bought when I was 16.....that was 8 years ago and they're still going strong!
+Joel North yea! my Logitech g920 had a few issues with it like skipping and violently shaking, I didn't even need to send a video, and after just 4 emails of short and simple conversation later, they said they're sending a new one to me. WITHOUT A VIDEO! after 4 videos thrustmaster still didn't believe me!
+Joel North although I made it clear I was a youtuber and that people would see bad customer service if they didn't do anything about it, so that might have helped a bit 😉😉
HunterCivilianPlays I am just about to purchase Thrustmaster TX leather edition due to the fact that I can upgrade the steering wheel or the peddles if I want... how would you compare the driving feel of the tx to the G920? And what happened to the tx of yours? Do you use it on Xbox one? Thanks for your input!
Rui Jin what did you buy?
Its not a challenge driving with clutch, driving without is
What? Grinding gears or automatic is the same terrible experience lol.
Watched several reviews, this one was the best by far. Actually focused on making commentary about the wheel and performance, didn't spend 10 minutes ogling at cords after opening the box. I was already pretty much sold on this wheel (it's $100 off right now), but I wanted to see a decent review with it in action. Putting in my Amazon order. Thanks!
this is by far the worst
I gotta agree with MUFI here. It's pretty terrible. First the guy doesn't drive in real life just by the way he presses the pedals and uses the wheel. But that we can excuse. The guy didn't use the shifter or even talked about the pads behind the wheel. Didn't talk about the buttons it has, or the different modes it has. Those reviews you see you can skip ahead the parts with the cords, but tbh I never seen a review of a wheel in which the guy talks much about the chords to be honest
Thank you for understanding me
How’s the wheel been?
Best TV dinner tray review to date looks like can cut up a turkey on that tray been looking for a good tray for long time now all I need does it come in red cause everyone knows reds faster unless the other car has strips then that will win or maybe if the car is red and has strips, ya know usian bolt would prob run faster if his shoes was red. Yeah I want red shoes now dame anybody seen reviews on red shoes with strips on
Wtf u saying man 😂😂😂🤣
whys he holding the wheel like that 😂
2:48
Wth why is he
He looks so incapable of driving ahah
Great review, i always wanted one of theese driving forces and its almost christams , so i hope i get the one to the pc and xbox
and i now know that the clutch is working so its more realistic sometimes people just use the gear shifter on the driving force
im surpriced that the quality is that good beacause when im searching up G920 Driving Force then many of the driving wheels
are like cheap and bad quality but this one here is the perfect one to get if your a pc or xbox gamer , and btw thanks for the review
that helped out alot !
Great review. I remember getting my first ForceFeedback wheel on Xbox360. Microsoft Wireless ForceFeedback for Project Gotham 4... That seems like eons ago. Moving to the belt driven Fanatec CSR was a big upgrade and I still use it on PS4 and Project Cars.
You can now get this entire setup for $298 on Amazon. Amazing deal.
Braidon Benjamin And now it’s $218 on best buy
EagleJrod bro please send a link I can only did them 300 +
@@trevonstewart3636 Not sure if you already purchased, seeing that this comment is 3 months old, but you can purchase it off the logitech website right now for $250
Kegg Plant I haven’t purchased yet😞 I haven’t seen ANY under $300
Trevon Stewart well if you are still interested check it out on Logitech just bought the wheel pedals AND the shifter for $325 I believe.
I've just brought one today, can't wait to use it 😁
3:37 wtf with your left hand!!
Hes shifting via paddle shifter
You should try Dirt Rally or Assetto Corsa Forza has really bad FFB
After seing him play forza do you really think he should bother trying dirt rally 😂😂
pocwiczcycu lies
wtf is Asseto Corsa Forza? Some kind of collab? xD
no it doesnt lol
I play alot of Forza, im doing awesome in Dirt rally - freaking love it.
nice review, well done and the first that showed how you fix it to something..kudos to you dude.
I got it for Christmas I love it thanks for doing the review it's cool seeing my wheel
Thanks for this mate, really gave me the insight I was after
This is the first review i watched that told you that there a plug that goes in the wall and iv watched a ton of em
I️ have one and use it on my electronic standup desk to adjust for the bets height. Pretty awesome.
Him: "you feel that"
Me: when he said you feel that I felt that
Hi friend, where did you buy that table? I want 1 for my steering wheel too
The fact that you’re holding it at 10 and 2 infuriates me
I'm holding it at 9 and 3
@Zwenk Wiel should have used 6.9
bought it today love it been using it on FM6 and fh3 and I'm getting the gear stick soon
MrJackben32 how does it feel on fh3?
Is there any input lag at all? I am contemplating buying this. Iv played racing games for eons but never once considered using a racing wheel. And with the new need for speed game coming out I really want it.
This video screams sponsored
Hey, I want to show my dad my wheel, but he is usually really tough on steering wheels, he likes to push and pull on them when he is driving, (last time I let him use a wheel he ripped it of my desk on accident). Should this wheel be durable enough to let him drive with it. He's a strong guy and I don't want him to loosen the stiffness of the wheel. Thanks.
What a excellent review!!!
Is the FFB better than on the TMX? Is the TMX Pro a better buy?
Tmx and tmx pro are WAY better wheels than this!
Excellent review... I am interesting to know if there is any input lag...
Nice review
Should buy a logitech g 920 new or semi-new csr FANATEC to play with cronusmax on xbox one?
He is reviewing the g920
I do like the wheel, but this review really overstated how good it is. It’s accuracy in force feedback impressed him? It’s literally base level. I will say it’s the best for your money, but you get what you pay for. It is an entry level wheel, treat it as such.
You also completely forgot to mention that this 100% compatible with Windows PC, and it becomes an entry level sim racing setup, for more serious racing titles such as RFactor2, Assetto Corsa, iRacing, etc. Which makes it value way higher than just looking at it, as an X-Box only accessory.
This with shifter on dirt rally PSVR is amazing!!!
I have it and I like it. Only bad thing is that the brake pedal is SO stiff that it doesnot brake well but you can watch videos how to "fix" it.
2:39 sweet dolla tea. I drink that
I just want to get this because I wont ever be able to drive a real car because of my vision so I want to atleast simulate it.
Southern Pixel you deserve it
Like the wheel
Hi, I'm thinking of buying a G29 or G920 for my PC. I haven't got a Xbox 1 or PlayStation 4. Will the G29 and the G920 be compatible with the new PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio? What wheel would you suggest? Thanks.
djsquibby well if you're only gonna use it on PC then probably the G29 cuz you have more buttons on that, but in terms of the force feedback, materials, pedals, paddles, wheel rim etc. there is absolutely no difference so it does not really matter, I'd recommend having a look at the Thrustmaster T300/TX as well if you are considering a Logitech G29/G920, Thrustmaster does have a nicer force feedback meganism with brushless belt drive instead of brushed gear drive like in the Logitech wheels :)
djsquibby np
I like this review cause just as him, i don't know to much about this things but i want one
My partners has had 4 now due to the paddles becoming loose. The noice of it is insanely loud
Just asking is the logitech g920 driving force racing wheel and the logitech steering wheel shifter great to use to learn and practice driving manual for beginner i have to learn manual driving will they be great to learn and practice
Is a shifter add-on necessary, or can you just use the paddle shifters only? Thanks...
How do I prevent the steering wheel resistance and make it easy and not difficult?
“Paddles are great for manual shifting” I’m sorry but it’s more like automatic when you use paddles
Except its not. You're literally manually changing gears. If its not happening automatically then its not an automatic
Does this work with the newer Horizon forza games (4/5)?
yea but forza is terrible for wheels
It's gear driven, that's an ancient technology. The g920 is just a g27 with a new look.
Sure, the g27 was a great wheel but that was a long time ago, nowadays bloggers it's really not that good
Are there any delays on the car turning when you turn the wheel
bought one on ebay and plugged it in the wheel Clibrated but thats it, No way to update drivers or firmware. PC doesnt see it Laptop sees it but not in any games. Do you know any fix for this problem
Good, fluid review.
When ever I move my G920 wheel. I can here a sound like the wheel is loose. Is this normal?
Pretty sweet video on the wheel. Thanks.
Where's the fourth peddle
GoldenPlazma 56 fourth?
GoldenPlazma 56 lol what?
He said floor pedal not four
I own this thing yess
I like Logi g920, it increased my potential to drive real cars (even when i'm 13).
Haven't seen you before but of the begining of the video I knew it was a serious video keep up the work!
I brought this wheel but now the buttons do not work at all. I have checked Logitech's forum but couldn't find any solutions from there. if you have any suggestion what should I do that would be a great help.i have only used it for 3 day. Thank you
Does the wheel actually move the car when you turn? i have a wheel rn and when i turn the wheel all the way it lags and doesn’t turn the car in the game. is this wheel better?
Jake Towne Yeah it’s really responsive. Love mine.
Nice video i just purchased thank you
If you buy this and dont use the shifter or some form of manual controls, just why? Whats the point of spending good money (im broke) to have a more immersive experience and then to drive it the most boring way possible.
Sorry for rant, but this guy would never use a shifter and it physically hurts
Can you change the force feedback so it makes it easier to use? Pls let me know asap
good review. thanks for the help. still can't decide if it's worth that price tag those jeez
Thanks for the review
Wouldn't buy it for racing, But for american/Euro truck sim yes please! Gotta have that shifter too.
Nice review
Nice video man idk if I should get one but now I probably will/ thx
Have it and love it!
I cant play without shifter honestly
My wheel is loose. Any way to adjust? There isno tension or feedback. Thank you.
bought it for 240€, love it!
Bruh did he really just repeat himself. “...breaking and shifting gears...there’s even a dedicated clutch”
Good review. Thanks
Where did you get it from? Plssss answer
is the g29 the exact same as this but just different buttons?
This video is super! But one thing, next time please longer. You've got a like!
0:46 did he say 4 pedals 😂😂😂
“The included floor pedal unit” but I can see what you mean lol
You ever take that bookshelf on some sweet jumps?
You can’t call it good, when there are wheel cheaper and better
Piotr Banasiak Thrustmaster T150 which has way better force feedback
Buzzard 1 but will break on ya in like a month
Damn that looks so cool!
First of all, you never break with the same foot you gas when it comes to racing....
yeah when driving automatic sure, but manual you have heel-toe downshifting and stuff which requires that. left foot braking is a thing tho, so you can do that
3:23 I think your wheel is broken, because the logitech G29 is feking loud, compared to the Thrustmaster T300/TX that you really can't hear at all.
My right paddel shifter has stopped working, now i have had this for a few years, but this thing is to damn expensive to breake after just 2 years.
Since one of my favurite games is F1 2019 the paddel shifters are a BIG part of the experience!
Does anyone have any advise on the shifter?
Good review.
Thanks this helped a lot!
What game you play ??
are the peddles too close together ?
This thing went on sale and i got it for $260. And compared to the old wheel I had for the xbox 360 this thing is amazing in quality. However ffb on the forza games kind of sucks and its way too easy to spin out however with some tweaks to tuning it becomes al9t better. Can't wait to try all the racing games on it
"genuine leather" yes sure dude.
Alinutz Alin it is I’ve got one
Is it possible to use a headset with audio and microphone when playing with the g920 on the xbox one?
Yes, but you have to have another controller handy.
Can you use this wheel for PC?
MrTabou y3s
I use these videos to convince my mom to buy it
Man I wish they knew the problems, like the screws in the pedals discolour and the brake is way to hard and some times it glitches but overall it's best for just using free ride
I actually think the brake is too soft
con el driver q está en la pagina oficial no tiene configuración para la vibración ! como hago para q vibre????? ayuda 2020
is the logitech g920 precise?
+Alexander Pop As long as the game supports it yes... Dirt Rally for the pc is phenomenal with it! Some games like rfactor and assetto corsa have completely broken force feedback issues :'(
Okay thanks for your answer
Can someone please tell me if this is actually any good for pc with games such as dirt rally, as I can clearly see the xbox controls and I don't own a xbox so is this worth spending £250 on?
Nathan Knight for PC a g27 is a better deal
Nathan Knight I bought mine used on eBay. I saved about $80. I think it is worth the money. I use it on Xbox and pc, but mostly pc these days. I think it is well worth the money I spent. I have not used other wheels but this one feels great to me.
Nathan Knight Its xbox and pc compatible. As for is it worth it? I dont know
A g27 is discontinued, good luck trying to find one for cheaper than the g920/g29.
Either way the g29/g920 are the exact same as a g27 besides the buttons in the wheel of course.
Both the g29/g920 are compatible for PC and they work great for the platform.
