    Imho this comparison is not quite fair. I mean they are not that similar in price. You can get G29 for 205 GBP along with 3 pedals setup, for another 30 GBP you can get shifter. And for 235 pounds you are full set. Meanwhile the price of T300RS just starts at 267 pounds. You want clutch pedal? You should get GT Edition than, that's 311 pounds. You want shifter? That's another 116 pounds for you. So we have 235 GBP vs 427 GBP. I'd say that's a pretty reasonable difference in price. I know that T300 has higher overall quality, but it comes with higher price. So I think it's not really fair to say that they are in the same price range.

      You can get the Logitech set now for 200gbp and the thrust master is now above 300gbp and the clutch is nearing 400gbp. The shifter is almost 200 so it's now 200vs600

    2 bits of misinformation in this video. For one, the Thrustmaster, NOT the Logitech is more powerful. The Thrustmaster puts out a significant amount of more torque, and its far smoother in its FFB delivery because it's not using helical gears like the Logitech is.
    Second, the Thrustmaster is not louder by any means. The thrustmaster makes hardly any noise while you're using it other than a cooling fan which isn't always on. The Logitech on the other hand makes a ton of noise while turning just like with the G27 and DFGT.
    The T300 gives you a significantly higher end force feedback delivery system and it's a much more substantial product. The Logitech feels like a plastic toy in comparison. Plus, the steering rotation button on the thrustmaster really comes in handy all the time, depending on what you're driving and what support the game has. Some games don't have options to change steering rotation, and the T300 is a lifesaver in those situations and it's just a better all around wheel to start and with better options for upgrading in the future.
    I have no idea why Logitech is charging $400 for the G29 because it's nothing but a reskinned G27 and it's not worth $300.

      GT Nismo For a first time wheel definitely get the T300. Well worth the cost. Better force feedback, and you get the option to upgrade to the Ferrari rim or Sparco rim. Plus the thrustmaster shifter is miles better than the Logitech one.

    • @Godric_71
      @Godric_71 6 лет назад

      John M thats great. Thank you for your feedback. One of the best parts of your info is that if i want to ill be able to "upgrade" it. What is your take on pedals? I feel that it's probably a good idea to spend a little more for a really good set. Im pretty gentle with my controllers and other things like that. However, i dont want it to break if i happen to put too much pressure unintentionally. Again, thank you so much for your feedback. Its better than listening to someone being paid by the manufacturer.

    Logitech gives you so many bonuses that make it more reasonable for the beginner. The pedals rock and you can get the base set with the shifter for the same price as the base Thustmaster. I love the G29 as a beginner. That said if you take your game to the next level neither one of these options is going to be adequate. You are going to want more force feedback - and that is going to cost you some cash. So for the purpose of figuring things out, you're going to want to go with the G29 as a means to determine your level of commitment.

    T300 seems to be a better wheel, but the amount of cases of its reliability issues is really putting me off. Moreover, being both also ps3 compatible, the g29 supports more games since it acts as DFGT in ps3 environment, while there are not so many ps3 games you can play with T300, or at least, not as much as in the case of g29. If i were a PC gamer and thrusmaster was more reliable, it would surely by my wheel of choice, But G29 seems to be more consoles friendly :))

    Excellent review. I’ve already had a t300 and now I have a g29. As a matter of fact I consider both quite similar each other . T300 is great but considering the price, in my opinion G29 wins because has a closer response to t300 with a very lower price. Anyway, is a matter of choice. Which one has his own option and I respect. Take care to everyone and I wish a lot of fun whatever option could be👍

      My guess is the game will notndo somenofnthe droving for him or you in this case and give you a more contrasting experience between the two, they feel similar simply because assists are on, if all assists are off, you cam't use clutch and gear shifter in the thrust master however wiyh the lgitech you have to buy a gear shift er alongside the paddle.

    • @kurosenpai
      @kurosenpai 8 лет назад +2

      Brett Perry well, depending on the game you are gonna play, if you switch on the assist on, it doesnt even matter what kinda sterring wheel you are using you are not gonna feel any different, heck you can even play using a controller and still race with like with no accident at all, unless you are very bad at playing games. If you switch of all the asisst off though, things r gonna change quite drastically, you are prone to oversteer a lot but with a good wheel that has a good FFB you kinda " know/feel " the car and you can react/counter steer better, or prevent it from oversteering in the first place. And logitech paddle feels like it has weight when you push it. Like break for instant, since bith of the paddle in the video is very good, you can control you breaking power better, so that you wont lock your tires since ABS is off. you can search simracekairu in RUclips, he is , to me, the best sim racer in RUclips. you can watch his video.

    I've been searching the internet and seems that there are a lot malfunction problems with T300RS just after few months. So I'll try to make it clear for everyone about each wheel advantage.
    Price -> G29 ($200) vs. T300RS ($300)
    Durability (lifespan) -> G29 (approx. 4 years) vs. T300RS (approx. 1 year, [reason: heats up easily])
    Wheel Force Feedback -> T300RS (better FFD + 1080 wheel rotation) vs. G29 (Less precise FFD + 900 wheel rotation)
    Pedal set -> G29 (Decent pedal set) vs. T300RS (Crappier pedal set over G29)
    Styling -> T300RS (Looks and feels better in my opinion) vs. G29 (Pretty amazing + cool indicator light [RPM to change gears])
    Platforms: Both are compatible on PS4, PS3 and PC (Although G29 indicator lights and clutch won't work on PS3)
    Bonus: If you are GT Sport player button layout goes in advantage for G29
    I almost went with T300RS, but giving extra $100 for wheel that has much malfunction problems after seeing all those online forums and threads. I'll just go with G29 instead, seems like old gear drive technology is more durable then belt driven T300RS.

The clipping in the wheel totally destroys the immersion in whatever driving game you're playing. Project Cars probably works best with the G29, but a lot of tuning is needed. With most other games the clipping is almost unavoidable. I finally decided to sell my G29 to a friend who's setting up his own racing cockpit, and ordered the T300RS Ferrari Alcantara wheel. The design and 1080 steering kinda makes this a no-brainer for every racing fan. The Thrustmaster is the best wheel for a reasonable price. I keep my game ffb at 0% and set up some resistance via the logitech software. this wheel is working perfectly...had no problems in 3 years. so if you want your wheel to last long, turn off the game ffb(takes away the fun but saves you some hundreds of dollaz).

      yeah that whining is coming from the speed of the motor as it turns the wheel. when you're racing you'll be pushing against the motor and you'll really only hear it make a humming sound if you're turning the wheel when not driving or if you have your sound turned down for some reason.

    Which wheel feels real. I had a g27 and it had. A dead spot is this the same with the g29 or should i get the thrustmaster t300rs ?

    I still have my g27 since it first came out, first off I would never trade it for the g29 & 2nd, I read the specs on the thrustmaster and I can honestly say, it is beast.

    The Thrustmaster is definitely a very good wheel, and so is the Logitech G29, but the first time I bought the T300 RS, it broke down within weeks of me using it. I bought a Logitech G29 after I returned the T300, and after a year the G29 still holds up. If you want a more reliable wheel, then the G29 should be your choice.

    Thanks for the video. One detail about your driving: usually, we shouldn't let go of the steering wheel. In 4:40 you let it go with one hand and grab another part, and then your shifter is out of place for your fingers. In another part you let it go with both hands, to wait for the FF to kick in. Maybe you should adjust the rotation in-game.

    I tried to like the G29/920 but just couldn't convince myself after owning/using the Thurstmaster TX version in the past. I went ahead and ordered the T300 RS Alcantara edition, TX Servo base and TH8A shifter once again. Oh yeah! Logitech is not bad but does feel like a toy compared to the Thurstmaster line. Just my 2 cents.

    Ok, don't know about the prices when this video came out, but the G29 is about $150 less than the t300.

      The T300RS is more expensive because its better and more premium (and the T300RS GT edition is better than the normal T300RS) (because of the peddles)

    Kinda in the market for a wheel to go with my Oculus Rift. I can pick up the G29 for £160, vs the T300 at £220. Or there's the T500 at £320.
    The shitty pedals on the T300 do kinda discourage me.

    the t300 actually has 50% stronger force feedback. i think it's something like 4.5 nm on the g29 and 6.5 on the thurstmaster.

    I just replaced my old wheel with a G29/920. Replaced also my old ThrustmasterRS8 shifter with the Logitech. And I'm very happy. G29 total cost was about 325. Minus 100 dollars I got selling my Thrustmaster shifter. A new Thrustmaster with three pedals would cost me 500. and if you don't have the shifter. That is another 150 for a total of 650. vs. 350. So it's no contest when we consider the price. All the other arguments are just point vs counterpoint. If you're not rich like me. Buy the Logitech.

    everyone says the thrustmaster wins.
    I would never buy the t300 over the g29 or g27.
    I can't stand those pedals. they look so cheap, and feel like it too compared to g27/29

    • @mrspangles932
      @mrspangles932 8 лет назад

      +ElementalsMods Pedals can be upgraded, but you're stuck with an inferior wheel. But yes, they are the T300's weak point.
      Everyone says the T300 wins simply because it's better.
      Also, most would say that the G29 itself looks and feels pretty cheap in comparison.

      Uncle Petey I'm not a racing enthusiast,
      so I would buy a wheel that comes with a shifter and nice pedals. aka (in my opinion) logitech g27, the logitech g27 is a very popular wheel, and for good reason, you get a great wheel, good shifter, great pedals. for $250.
      last time I checked t300rs is $350, same as the logitech g29, then the g29 is $400 with the shifter.
      I would take a g27 over both of them any day of the week.

    • @mrspangles932
      @mrspangles932 8 лет назад +1

      The G27 is a good wheel, and with the pedals, it's a good package.
      At the price, I'd choose it over the G29.
      If you're not a racing enthusiast, why would you buy a wheel in the first place?
      All I'm saying is that the T300 wheel is a big step up in performance and the pedals can be upgraded at a later date if you can't stretch to that initially.
      Also, you might have a different opinion if you had experience of both wheels, rather than just going on price :) This review comparison video is poor at best.

    • @ElementalsMods
      @ElementalsMods 8 лет назад +1

      Uncle Petey the g27 isn't even close to a enthusiast wheel, its more mainstream class. and if all I cared about was price. i'd get a $50 one on craigslist. ;)
