- There is an annoying clicking sound when I turning the wheels in the GTR. I searched the internet to find a solution but no luck. Aramis and I try to find a permanent solution to get ride of it.

You have to take the disk off and clean behind it. Has happened loads in the uk and that solves it. You also need to torque it higher than manufacturers recommend
A lot of owners have tried these methods and they are temporary fixes. We need a permanent solution. Over torquing the lugs will cause premature ware and failure on the studs.
Phuong, im hearing a weird sound that sounds like the brake shims when brakes applied but its happening when the wheel is moving. any clue what it could be?
Albert did you install the second clip holding on to the pin? Aramis asked if you had your brakes serviced before?
@@phothrottle I have not serviced my brakes. When I tried to install my endless brake pads, the pads I took out had half its life still but I only took out the front right pad. Maybe Ill check all of them to be sure. I did install the second clip.
Im having an odd sound on my 17 GTR. I can describe the sound as a click or almost more a 'snapping' sound with each wheel revolution. I can hear it on both sides of the car from just a slow roll all the way up to normal cruising speed. It gets harder to notice at higher speed because it happens to fast and the car is loud lol. I decided to swap the rotors, hats and pads with new ones. I added lubricant between the rotor and hub and rotor and wheel. No help at all. I am starting to think maybe its a bad steering rack? I dont know what else it could be.
Try anti seize between the wheel and hub it works really good.
@@phothrottle tried that. Made no difference. Oddly you can hear it on both sides at the same intervals. It's driving me nuts
@@svenstraessle6127 my friend did it with his and the clicking sound disappeared. Weird yours is still making the sound.
That is odd
The pins in the calipper moves thats why it goes like that all gtr is the same I guess it's the brimbos my 10 does the same
Hi from Denmark 👋
Thanks for the video 😊
I have the same problem with my GT-R from 2016. I have tried the same like you in the video, but it didn't work. So now I think I will try with some new brake pads from Bosch I can buy from my work, I only give 45usd for them, so it is worth to try 🤞☺️
Try putting some anti seize between the hub and the wheel. The noise has gone away when I did that. Seems to work very well.
@@phothrottle yes can try that 👍 thank you very much 🤗
omg I'm getting clicking on the front driver really bad! stock rims stock tires! and it's annoying! I went to 110ft-lb but it didn't even stop. I hear it when I turn right really loud. but driving strait I hear nothing! (2021 bayside blue gtr)
I put some anti seize between the wheel and the hub and the clicking noise disappeared. Give that a try and let me know how it goes.
It’s happened loads in the UK. Take the disk off. Clean behind, and it goes away.
什么牌子的anti seize ?
Yes worked instantly and never came back.
@@phothrottle what brand of onti seize ?
@@reechardku9165 I used Motomaster but is think any brand will work.
@@phothrottle okay will try search for other brand because malaysia difficult to find this kind of product
中間放0.5mm wheel spacer就能消除異音了
I'm not a big fan of wheel spacers but it might work. Have you tried it on you GTR?
@@phothrottle 我們在台灣處理好很多了,因為是鍛造鋁圈與wheel hub大平面問題了
I put a bit of anti seize in between the hub and the wheel and the clicking never came back.
@@phothrottle Wurth A L1100 or CU800,,也可以,但乾了,可能異音會再來
So far the clicking sound has never came back. I will let you know if it does.
Sounds like an axle issue
That is what everyone initially thought and has been ruled out not the axles.
@@phothrottle did you get this resolved yet?
@@A12h33 I put some anti seize in between the wheel hub and the rotor on the front and the clicking has never came back.
@@phothrottleis the anti sieze still working? No clicking?
@hatefpv I still don't have anymore clicking sounds since I put the anti seize. It did the job!
