Crazy that dealership wants that much money for something that’s probably less than one hour of labor. Personally I would have gone ahead and staked the axle nut after torquing to spec. Thanks for sharing this information. Nissan has a TSB about this issue as well, this clicking noise affects many models.
My first attempt (right side) i torque the nut with break on. The clicking did not went away. I mentioned in video i will do it this time different than i did before.
Part no. For the nut is on the video just freeze the section when i was showing the nut. You can also ask the parts department of Nissan. Give them your VIN
The car is off, not running. Before you torque make sure the Hand break is off, e-pedal off, eco mode off. The wheel wont turn when you torque the nut. The challenge would be straightening the crimp so you you can loosen and remove the nut. The rest is easy
Hello Kuya.

Thanks my brother, did you have the part# for them Axle nut? ")
So the park is holding the wheel from Turing? While removing and torqueing the nut.
Yes
@@athomedito4608 i though it would have been better to have the brakes on while doing this instead of relying on the park pin inside the gear box?
Great video and solution.
Thank you!

Yes the PARK will prevent the wheel from turning
Do you leaf it in park so the wheel doesn't turn while torqueing :)
One more? sorry what is the size of the socket is it 36mm or 38mm thanks :)
32mm
32 mm
I’m pretty sure that is the electrical components engaging not the rotor
Great job and video
Thank you.
Torque spec is 147.5 lb ft for the leaf? I thought it was 130.
And do you have the car on while doing this job ,mines doing the same and need to fix :)
Sorry for the late reply. The car is off while applying the torque.
Are you sure it’s 147.5 lb ft??
Seems high!
Nissan dealership here says 89lb
Ft.
Pls clarify how you got 147.5ft lb
Thx!!
The 89 ft-lb, as prescribed by the dealership, is too low. I will show you later what other people did, and they used 147.5 ft-lb
This is also a common issue on Tesla
The part no. for the nut is 40262-4GA0D
