  • We’re almost 1 week in and I needed a reminder that autoimmune healing doesn’t miraculously happen in one week. I still have MS. I’m still healing from endometriosis. But I am making progress on this carnivore diet.

I'm a month in, and my MS symptoms are noticeably less already. Mine weren't severe to begin with compared to many others, but now I don't have to use the rail for balance while going down the stairs. Now I don't get that occasional brain fog like I did up until a few weeks ago. It's not as dramatic a difference as others have seen, but it's just as important to me!

That’s fantastic that you have seen such improvements in your colitis. I’m sure that has really improved your quality of life.

      @@Trindsey Well said🙏
      I’m happy for you🤗as well.
Everyone is different and the journey is unique for everyone.
My best advice is to take one day at a time.
This life style requires patience and sacrifice😊it takes time to become fat adapted.
Electrolytes are very important for you to stay hydrated.
Also you need to consume enough fat and not too much protein.
I’m Keto adopted for many years.
I made sure I consume around 200 grams of fat daily.
I add grass fed butter 🧈 to a hot glass of hot water with a little salt and mixed in my Breville the Fresh & Furious SMOOTHIE.
It’s delicious and easy to drink☺️
Keep up the good work and enjoy the journey to a better health and happiness😌🙏

Cheering you both on. I feel sure you'll improve with time. I heard Barbara O'Neill once say that if you've had an issue for example 10 years, it may take 10 months to heal. If it's 10 months it might be 10 weeks to heal and so forth. Everything seems to take time, but you started and that's half the battle.

Thank you for sharing your story. I have struggled with auto immune disorders since I was 13. I had graves disease (cured it with vitamin D), psoriasis and massive inflammation. I am about to be 40 in November and am determined not to be sick anymore. I am on day 6 of Carnivore and spent day 3 miserable, vomiting and with a migraine. I upped my electrolytes and good fat intake and things are good so far. I have tried everything else except medications but I think so far this is working better, my skin is not flaking as much and I am seeing improvements. One day at a time, we got this!

Be careful about jumping into the carnivore lifestyle too fast. Some of us with multiple autoimmune disorders can react too severely to the sudden change. Be aware that you may experience heavy “oxalate dumping”….Sally Norton speaks about excess oxalates in our system. Hope that helps. 😊❤🙏🏼

Your electrolytes will still be out of balance.

    MS?
Are you megadosing on Vitamin D3? I mean 100,000 IU A DAY?
Do you know you D3 blood serum level?
I can't remember offhand the babe of the book, but there is a physician in Brazil or Argentina who is successfully reversing MS with Vitamin D3 therapy!
I'll look up the book and try to get back to you!
100,000 IU of Vitamin D3 for two weeks, then 50,000 IU of Vitamin D3 for the next two years, successfully eliminated my prostate cancer tumors!
During those two years my BSL fluctuated from 127 to 235, to 97, to 124, and just this last blood test, 94!
What this means to me is that my body is USING IT. All of it!
And fortunately for me, when my BSL was 235 my doctor CONGRATULATED ME! Saying I had the highest Vitamin D3 BSL he had ever seen in his 40 years of practice! He then said, "You know that Vitamin D3 toxicity is a myth, don't you? That there's no such thing?
    I told him I did!
Anyway, I hope to get back to you soon.

      @Trindsey  17 дней назад

Oh wow!! I’m so happy to hear that this worked for you. That’s amazing.

      @@Trindsey
I was taking 6,000 IU a day for 12 years and my D3 still was was still only 30 ng/mL!
Wasn't until I took 100,000 IU a day for 2 weeks that my BSL finally rose to 127 ng/mL!
      And my then-primary practically panicked!
She had here nurse call me at home and tell me to STOP taking D3! She was an idiot. Really. I dumped her quick.
I did cut back to 50,000 IU because I FINALLY had my BSL in a healthy range.

Wait, your seeing inprovement but you say carnivore is not sustainable? What is "not" sustainable ?

    • @Trindsey
      @Trindsey  18 дней назад +2

I was saying that approaching healing by relying on medicine is not sustainable for me. I am currently going to the Mayo Clinic multiple times a week and that isn’t sustainable for me.
Our belief is that we’ll be able to heal many of my health concerns through maintaining an animal based way of eating
