Dear Kelly, in your lessons you give us 2 options for word restroom:
1. ‘xi shou jian’
2. ‘ce suo’.
Are there any particular differences? Which word are more usable, does it depends on provinces, north or south and etc.

Hi Michael, it is a great question! xǐ shǒu jiān -》xǐ shǒu means to wash your hands; jiān means "room" ... xǐ shǒu jiān sounds more polite than cè suǒ. In English, xǐ shǒu jiān = restroom vs. cè suǒ =toilet😊

I was under the impression that using 'xiang' with another verb, say 'qu' then there was no need to use 'yao' with xiang, as in 'I want to go' I thought that 'Wo xiang qu' was the correct sentence, but presumably I am wrong.
