How can I tell if the collar is working. I bought two and neither dogs have stopped barking. I've fully charged them both and are on the temperament learning modes ... I've shaved the dogs necks and am using the longer prongs ... I'm at a loss :(
Thank you for this question, Juliana. We're sorry to hear you are not seeing any results from using the SBC-R for your dogs' training just yet. It is important to remember that the fit of the collar is crucial for a bark collar to be effective for your dog. If the collar is not secured up high on the throat area and snug enough to allow the contact points to touch skin directly, then the collar will not be able to detect or correct any barking. We recommend fitting the collar to allow only one finger's width between the contact points and the dog's neck. Avoid measuring off the strap alone as this can cause the fit to be too loose to detect a bark. Just wondering how do I test that it actually works
Great question, Glen. This bark collar is specially designed to activate only for a dog's bark. Due to this, it isn't possible to "trick" the bark collar and make it activate otherwise to test.
