So I mean, these things work to a degree. You really have to take into consideration a dogs breed and training. All dogs can hear it, but many dogs with a high prey drive can ignore it and keep on barking due to that breeds drives and tenacity. Terriers small and large, or other small and large breeds meant for hunting vermin etc have a high drive. They work for many instances but you also have to train your dogs, and fence fighting between neighbor dogs is a normal thing, so you have to trouble shoot more then just the barking issue and it comes with training your dogs.

The current neighbor has a stupid loud barking german shepard that is left unattended outside 24/7 that they never even do anything with, like ever. It just sits in their backyard 25 feet from my living room and barks very loudly whenever it wants to and the owners NEVER stop it, not even after I've talked to them about it. My old neighbors had a great Pyrenees that barked all day, every day, at everything. It was maddening! The neighbors were awesome people but the breed is known to bark like that. They eventually did have to cut her vocal cords bc they couldn't get her to stop. Its quite sad, really. One of the rare cases I see of good people who really don't have a way to stop their dog. The dog was the problem and usually its the owners that are. I felt for them, but also knew the dog was a genuine nuisance.

So HOW DO YOU stop dogs barking when it’s not ur dog but the neighbours???????

  • @mauiintheclouds
    @mauiintheclouds 5 месяцев назад +2

A couple things that get the attention of your neighbor right away since their dog probably doesn't bark at THEM is as follows:
Disclaimer here: These mental recommendations are strictly NOT to be used in any way but it sure is fun to consider doing it. Implementing these mental exercises may result in legal issues, your wife may not like you anymore, further discord between neighbors (or make the dog stop barking) and thus backfire on you and also attract legal ramifications. Soo, well it is a LOT of fun to think about doing these mental exercises and turning them into reality, you should NOT do them......... Think of this as a mental venting of things I know I would love to do if I had such a four-legged hemorrhoid barking constantly next door that was owned by an inconsiderate neighbor. That being said, here they are. I have it on really good authority that both of these work!
    1. Record their dog and put the recording into a camera such as the "Topodome S21C home security camera" sold on Amazon. Aim the camera their direction then set up motion alarm with their own dog's bark as the default noise. Now every time they walk in THEIR yard, the recording of their own dog will bark at them every moment they come into the view of the camera. Yes, it will piss them off and yes, it will send a clear message that it IS super irritating to get barked at on your own property! when they ask you to turn it off, make them a deal that you will if they will. For an added extreme function, add an external amplifier to your speaker so it cranks out at 200 watts. OMG. Taste of their own doggy medicine.
A totally different way to do the same goal is as follows:
#2 Buy the following items that are easily found on Amazon.
    M048N - Ultrasonic Generator
kemo l010 piezo speaker (Or greater)
Basic 110VAC to 12VCD power supply
Plastic plumbing pipe to mount it all in and aim like a cannon towards the offending dog.
Use a smart plug to turn on or off when needed.
For an easier on/off, wire a small relay into a anti bark device that has an adjustable microphone and piezo in it but bypass their wimpy speaker and add your big guns to it so all is not on steroids and automated. Now instead of a 25 to 50 ft range, it will reach out hundreds potentially depending on how high you crank it up to the speaker.
Both of these work, so I am told. (Insert innocent face here) Seems some women can hear the devices and you WILL get complaints if turned up too high so be prepared for this.
So, don't you feel better that you have mentally built this to vent your frustrations?
Again, do NOT build these unless you consult your attorney, call the police to try to have them take care of business with warnings and fines ect......
By going beyond the mental exercise of mentally building these, you may get yourself into legal trouble so while I hear these work very well, don't do it, resist the urge. Stay safe, buy earplugs. Do NOT build either of these!! If you build these very effective anti-bark home brew methods, you assume any and all liability should you do so, especially after I am telling you NOT to. Happy venting with this MENTAL exercise.

My dogs don't have free roaming to go out and bark whenever they want. They will bark if there is a disturbance, or they hear noises outside the house, as they should. If they are outside ever, I am right beside them, and no barking will last for more than a minute. Bottom line, years back, in another house, I smirked when a neighbor with ONE NOISY, albeit very cute, Yorkie, yapped whenever I took my dogs outside in the large fenced in front yard to run around a bit while I was with them. Then the Yorkie would be up against the adjoining fence making non stop noise, so my three would bark back it it and I'd tell them to stop, they would or I'd take them back inside. Well, the neighbors bought one of these devices and pointed it at my dogs, on my side of the fence. I was like, you really need to point it at your own dog and put it on your side of the fence, because until your dog stops yapping, my dogs won't stop responding. Some people just do not get it.

People like this are what make people hate dogs. Such a shame to be so irresponsible. And NO, the bark boxes do NOT work. We tried that cheap little bird house box, complete scam. Then we bought a 130,00 model, didn't change anything either. What we had was a guy move in with 3 Shepherds and a pug. One dog over the legal limit for our area. Animal control did nothing until the dogs started escaping their yard and invading neighboring yards. They came and confiscated one dog (stupid) because all 3 were escaping and all 3 were chronic barkers. The solution is to hold responsible, the lazy person that took home the dog/dogs and terrorized their neighbors. Because our neighbor was afraid they would eventually take his other dogs, he took them to live on his father's ranch outside the city.

A squeaky, annoying bark. All day long. The owner just smirks and says nothing. I dont want to escalate the situation but I also cant handle this much linger. I get an occasional bark. I get a dog misbehaving.
