I have been trying to convince myself to buy this camera for a long time. The main thing that prevents me from doing it is the fact that it has 'just' 24 Mpix. Since I go to full frame, I would like to have more resolution than my current Pentax K70 and Sony A6000. Anyway, I am looking forward to take full advantage of some of my lenses too, so I'll probably end up trading the A6000 for an 'A7-whatever' sometime... Thanks for the video !
Yep, definitely my point of view. Once the A7rii comes down to $500-$600 I'll consider it, but for now 24MP is more than enough. BTW, awesome channel! Subscribing now.
It's a mixed bag. Focus peaking is great to use, and given that my eyes are not what they used to be, I now prefer an EVF than an optical viewfinder. But with the Sony, unless you're shooting fully open, you are either focusing stopped down or have to stop down after focusing, making things slower overall. I would *love* a manual focus lens adapter that had automatic aperture btw. Let's say that if you have experience focusing on a DSLR, and your eyes have no trouble focusing that close, the Pentax will be faster. Not by a huge amount but still faster.

Almost bought one of these as well. Great camera and no reason to spend exponentially more for the newer models as you say.
