Has anyone looked at putting a small 12v fan (perhaps a computer fan?) inside to circulate the air around? I find where the thermoelectric plates are (at the front) gets icy cold, but the rest doesn't get as cold. Would be cool (ahem) to have a small fan inside to help move the cold air around?
Firstly I would pre-cool it before adding anything and then additionally I would suggest crushing some ice, adding crushed ice to ziplock bag along with salt, place the bag or bags of salt/ice in the base of the fridge before adding pre-cooled items as it will make the fridge far more efficient as the salt reacts with the ice and lowers the freezing point and subsequently keep that ice frozen longer. However, I would do a test run before going away as you might find it freezes it’s instead of keeping things cold. 👹
Do you have the dimensions of this cooler? Supercheap don't seem to have them anywhere on the website. Mainly interested in the external height to fit in a particular location in the car. Thanks
I haven't used it. Covid and lockdowns hit before I got a chance to put it through it's paces. Currently collecting dust. Hope to give it a run once the weather warms up... assuming we are not in lockdown...
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL Depends where in AUS you are but I’m guessing you would be staying within your own state if going out at all. Btw, Merry Christmas, beautiful day today here in Vic, perfect Christmas Day weather.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL haha, I was still thinking it was Christmas Day as I had just seen the news reports in the US about the bomb in the camper van, they mentioned it occurring Christmas morning. We had our Christmas get together on Sunday as that’s when everyone was available.
I guess the biggest issue of this type of fridge is that our cars generally get pretty darn hot, especially if parked in the sun. You get what you pay for I guess.
“Open lose much of cool”. You shouldn’t given it’s design as cold air is heavy and should increase in temp a lot less than a normal fridge with a door, it’s the reason chest freezers are so efficient.
This is brilliant. A bread proofer costs about 400aud a yoghurt maker...say 100aud, so this should do this very well. Thank you.

Thank you
I put water half way in my ridge because the water transfers the cold temperature quicker and colder then what the walls and air does

Super Cheap also does not publish negative reviews. Buyer beware
pretty cool, seems like worth getting one then
Quick one. How might one plug a fridge into the garden?
Plenty of sockets in my garden.
hey my bro, would love to see and update on this cooler if you still have it!!
I still have it but have hardly used it since covid. I used it as a fridge in my garage until I got a Makita bar fridge.
Any chance you could review the Makita portable fridge? Really thinking about getting one.
Any update? I just purchased the same exact model and would love to know how you feel about it after using it for a couple months

@@MaZEEZaM I'm not in Australia.
Do you celebrate xmas on the 26th?

Where you able to adjust the low voltage cut out level?
The 12V low voltage cut out is annoying - mine cuts at around 11.7V which for a deep cycle battery is nowhere near 'low'.
what are the dimensions

That was "cool" man 😎
Been trying to think of a comeback along the same line but my brain seems to be frozen.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL well, at least you didn't just give me the cold shoulder.
That sure would have been a cooling of our relationship.
