Buy the 12v Vevor Fridge: amzn.to/3WhmZrV
I wanted the freezer so I could freeze the hard plastic ice packs, then, put them in a cooler to keep my food cold without the food getting soggy from melting ice. A refrigerator needs to be running all of the time using up energy.
The 10 Quart freezer can sit on the front seat and only needs to run every other day or so, when I need to refreeze the ice packs.

I’m 46 years old and I was still worried that my dad was going to fuss at you about opening the door of the refrigerator too many times. We’ve all got trauma 😂
You forgot the most important test. How long does it take for a 6 pack of beer to get from "sitting in the floorboard of my astro van" tempature to about 36 degrees F?
Hahah, that’s literally the only beverage I put in the fridge anyways. I missed the mark there
Exactly why im here
Mine works a treat...🍺🍺
ordered! liked & subscribed. Looking forward to testing this cooler.
the bottom will be colder than the top, because cold air sinks and warm air rises
Well done...very informative.
Thank for this video
Brother thank you so much for the vid. I moved to a new city, my roommate died and the family kicked me out, so I find myself crashing in the caravan. I liken it to jumping in a cold pool, its a shock but you enviably acclimate. I live in Florida so heat is an issue. Im planning on using the fridge as a dual purpose device and turning it into a AC unit as well as a fridge. Plan to put a trans radiator inside and run cold water to a trans radiator outside with a pair of usb fans. May also line the fridge with aluminum for maximum temp transfer. I use a bluetti power station with a harbor freight solar pannel, which has about 230 ah, so i think this will work great. I tried a ice maker which pulled 200 watts and did nothing for cooling, so again thank you so much for the vid. The whole experience has brought me closer to God. I hope my story does the same for you. With all the craziness going on in the world right now, it doesn't hurt to make peace with your maker...ya dig. Thanks again.
Very informative. Did u run it off a solar power pack? Do u have a link for the one u have.?
where did you buy you're small digital thermometer?
My Vevor, at 55 liter sized, comes with aluminum sides, in the cooling section. I suspect it distributes the cool better. At twice the price, for the larger size.
I don’t understand how it is powered? Do you charge it up or does it have to be connected to a charger?
Is your temp gauge calibrated.
Hey man m, can you tell me the dimensions from lid to side? I want to know if I can open the lid when taking when taking it out from under the seats. Space is 46cm
So it’s a refrigerator or freezer? If so I think I like it better than the split ones, because they’re too small.
How to change the voltage battery at this fridge?
What's the lowest that thermometer is capable of going? 10° may be it's lower limit.
opening it and closing it so many times is why it probably took so long to cool down you let all the cold air out like 15 times
Not true, cold air sinks, so opening the lid does jack. If it was a front opening fridge, that would be a different matter.
However being a "hatch style", opening the unit creates a vacuum every time inevitably removing the cabin air completely hence resetting the cooling process by 80%.@@OggyGTA
How is it holding up so far looking for something cheap for the work truck to place on the floor of Peterbilt? I purchased a Iceco 45l and love it but its way better quality
I am looking at a few of these for a long road trip.I am going through several states that Tax on groceries which I refuse to pay
i dont store alot in my fridge maybe few bags of lettuce some cheese salsa sour cream for taco salad that is abiut it.
i also travel and i move addrrsses alot. so this kind of frigde might be for me. and i need budget stuff.
i hope its durable and lasts.
It reminds of the old timy RV refridge that took over night to get cool and keep stuff cool. As a 12v option to you really expect it to make blocks of ice? Or do you just want to be able to take stuff to the beach and keep it cold. Once cold stuff is in it, the temp will stabilize somewhat to make it even more useful.
With summer coming up, I’m not pervious of keeping a cooler with ice all the time and say I take a turn a bit too hard and there goes all the melted ice and drinks all over my car trunk.
I’d rather keep something like this to keep drinks cool, not necessarily to freeze stuff, but it does seem to keep stuff frozen. so in order to keep things frozen, it’s important to keep this in mind say in a camping trip or at the beach.
@@KevTheHunter1 I'm not against it to keep drinks cold, I just don't have high expectations of a 12v anything to make a lot of ice or very quickly... It kinda reminds me of the "personal A/C" unit they are scamming people with all over the place.
It may make you think of that but totally different tech. This is a compressor fridge. It will make ice if you set the temp for that.
@@ceeweedsl yes I know, compressor vs pressurized alcohol. It still doesn't make that much difference, your home fridge can barely make ice in a matter of hours, yet, people expect a tiny 12v fridge to make ice? Never mind how much. It's a nice thought, but, the tech hasn't made those kinds of changes yet... They aren't much more efficient than they were 50 years ago. Oh they use less power, but that's about all they have improved on.
@@david78212 Didn't he make ice with this one? I didn't watch all the way. My 12v is a higher end version with two chambers and we make ice sometimes but don't time it. Throw meat or fish from the store into in the freezer side and it freezes. So, I don't know. Unfamiliar with what was around 50 years ago. But unless you get a lemon, these things do freeze.
I got the smaller one. The manual does say Alpicor.
However, I had the issue of water coming out of the unit. I don't think the seal is tight. I'll be returning it.
Water? From where... I just ordered one, but I can do weeks.
@ojobee All around the seal. Also, it was humid, and ice formed all on the outside. It was a mess.
@ridgehilljillie9429 oh wow. Thanks for the info. I am planning to install mine in my Camper van and have my ecoflow ac planned for the same space. Might have to find a pan to put this on so it does not leak water.
I have the Alpicool brand. Same thing like you said, but I opted for the larger unit that has a domed lid so it can take larger bottles and you can stand them up! Everything else is the same! BTW, that USB charger port is a joke. If I plug my phone into it, the power shuts off. Not the fridge, just the USB power. It can do barely an amp! I never tried to see just how cold it can get, but I read once if you use the ºC setting, it's more accurate? It is a nice unit though.
I could imagine they cheaped out on the USB Port. However, the fridge worked flawlessly for me for the time I had it. Recently sold it with the camper van. I regret it because I have already had a few instances where I wish I had it.
@@AutoMotivateDoes the compressor turn on when plugged into a car dc port? I know they say fridges need more power to start.
@@kamidarrell8750 yeah man! These compressors are very efficient
@@AutoMotivate Ok thanks.
It gets colder quicker when full, the compressor doesn't work as hard as it does cooling the empty space.
I have seen before fridges like this that can only kit the rated cooling speed on ac power then on 12v it just kinda keeps it as best as it can
The 12v system works perfect! I use it in the back of the Tahoe whenever I go to race events
Mine will freeze food on DC power.
Nice vid now I just gotta choose between 16 and 21 q.
I think the 21qt would be pretty good. The 16qt is good but a bit more room would be perfect. ICECO sent me a 52qt, but that is way to big for most of my uses.
@@AutoMotivate ok thanks for this .
@@AutoMotivate ordered the 21 used your link.
@@HunterTravels heck yeah man! I appreciate it! Hope you get as much use out of it as I am with mine.
Does the 16 core model come with 32 threads too 😅
No igpu though 😭
The more you have in the frig it will drop temp faster
dude cold air falls not climb
It might have 2 speeds, use MAX.
Omg charge your phone. LOL.
Because it takes much more energy to cool food than to keep it cool, you would be better off if you start off with a bag of ice😂
It does Pretty bang on job without having to train the ice after. I prefer this imo.
Many of these units run their stats based on loading the frig with pre-cooled items. Beware...
31 seconds in... Its freaking way tiny. what would anyone put in it> sukz
I’ve used it so many times already.
Your tem gauge is incorrect. Water freezes at 0, but your gauge say 10 ... not possible unless the laws of physics differ inside this coolbox! Physics also dictates that cool air sinks, this is why they cool the upper part of the box, so they don't have to cool all the boix at once. Well, I guess it is a budget cooler.
Thank you! I don't want this one!!😊😊
You’re welcome 😊
44 👍🏻
Obviously not.
Do you want one? I bought onea a year ago and it no longer works. Support is non existant. If you are in Long Beach, drop by and it is yours.
Dude... Cool sinks, heat rises. Your logic that the cool has to rise up isn't solid. if the digital thermometer is at the bottom it should get to the mid 30's faster than the top.
Your "conclusion" on it's freezing performance is problematic. You expect it to get cold, but you keep opening the door.😂😂😂😂 Didn't your Dad teach you to SHUT THE DOOR? Alpicool C15, the original manufacturer of what you have will freeze water in a ciuple hours easy. Add more than a single bottle for better performance.
How do you think I should test the coldness of the fridge?
@AutoMotivate Well... there are plenty of ways. How about set fridge to 0⁰ F wait until the temp is reached. This simulates actual usage. Then place your water bottle inside. Wait at least an hour before you molest the process(open the door). Add additional hours if needed. Ideally, having a wireless thermometer to monitor temps.
boooo this is more of a paid review with hopes of commission from amazon redirects 👎
