you can use a pair of half-round jewellery pliers! They're accessible at bead and craft stores, but they're designed with one softer round side to avoid marring the inside of the metal. :)

I just uncoiled and combined a bunch of extra pages from previous planners as well as repurposed some unused or partially used pages. It was a leap of faith but so much easier and more satisfying than expected. YAY!!
This Hello Kitty is adorable! Love the idea of creating a planner that is personalized! Great ideas here! Now I just need to gain courage to take apart some of my unused planners! 👍🏼

Love my Erin Condren teacher/academic planner - hadn't thought about Frankenplanning it with my calendar. I use a regular calendar with the HB90 pages worked it and LOVE that. HB90 really, really helped me. Thank you so much for all you do!!

I love bookmarks/tags. They are ever so useful and making it easy to reach the place where either I stopped in a book or the place I want to be in a planner.
I love Erin Condren's Hello Kitty covers. I just wish they offer other Sanrio characters as well such as Keroppi or Little Twin Stars.

Love the Frankenplanned EC. Everything at your fingertips! My go to daily for everything is a Happy Planner with HB90 printed A5 size on Happy Planner sized paper and HP half sheets in between. Discs make it easy for those of us who reinvent the day sometimes on an hourly basis. Thanks for sharing your process!
Never thought we could do with a coiled planner the same as with a ring or disc bound planner!

Thank you for a giveaway! To answer your question about those monthly pages at the beginning of the month that you don't know what to do with - how about using it as an end-of-the month review page? You could list a few wins, some stats if you want, maybe a favorite memory... Then you have a snapshot of a month on one page that you can keep to remember things, because we all know keeping all the pages means we never look at them again. ;)

For me those pages that you didn't know what to do with after the monthly spread can be used for important things that did happen, but weren't planned, so you can look back and go, yep that happened. Also, when you do declutter and have to throw out the books, that one page can be kept and and little things can be remembered. Even if it's a question of the month for your kids, EX What is your favourite colour this month? Favourite show of the month, best dinner, etc. Sometimes one might need to have something that is a break inside the planner to make you smile.

I used to do bullet journaling but I feel like is the best of both worlds. The structure I need but the ability to create something new/different without all that drawing.

I frankenplan basically every year. This year I am trying a modified bullet journal/drain dump planner & daily hourly tracker.
Never really thought about combining planners but how I’m really contemplating… I’d love that large harmony book for my business! I’d definitely use it as an editorial calendar.

I started using the Kanban system last year. WOW, can I just say how my productivity sky rocketed last year! I planned my quarter on January 2 and I'm on a roll already. Thank you for your inspiration.

At least I think they are just colds. We haven't tested yet, should do that tomorrow.
