  • When I entered the ancient city of Ephesus, I was astonished at the layout of this enormous city and saw the remains of the ruins of a once-thriving and prosperous Roman town with my camera lens. It became clear to me, Ephesus is a vast abandoned city. In this film, I documented some critical historical landmarks, including the Library of Celsus and the enormous Roman Amphitheater of Ephesus.

    Ephesus had in its best times around of a quarter millon inhabitants, one of the 5 biggest cities in the roman world, thanks for sharing.

    looking at streets, walls, pillars, designs and buildings, seems like was build and rebuild many times with different technics and materials along the way.

    I walked the streets of Ephesus back in 1983 and distinctly remember seeing a large public urinal with many crap holes on which to sit. It would appear to be conspicuously absent from the video. Hmm...

      Was it located in the Roman Empire? Yes? Then it was Roman.

      @@improvementbeyond2974 of course. But most visible ruins are from the roman period, thus its called roman in this video.
