🇯🇴 Pella: Roman City Decapolis Ruins in Jordan. Walking Tour w/ Natural Sound
Pella is an ancient Roman town situated within the foothills of the Jordanian Valley, about 17 miles south of the Sea of Galilee in Jordan. Today, only a few remains of its glorious Roman architecture are still visible as the once flourishing town turned to ruins, long forgotten over thousands of years of abandonment.
According to archaeologists, in the Neolithic time, Pella was initially settled by the Natufians, the ancient ancestors of the Middle Easterners who appeared in the Levant between 12,500 BC and 9,000 BC. Archaeologists believe the Natufians were the first semi-sedentary foraging people in world history who invented bread-making and brewing beer. That said, the people of anci...

🇯🇴 Gadara: Roman City Decapolis in Umm Qais, Jordan. Ancient Roman Ruins | Full Exploration
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.Год назад
I felt like a Roman walking on Gadara's ancient paved Roman road, still perfectly preserved after 2,000 years. I felt immensely privileged to explore the ruins of a once-great empire through the remains of their architecture and the feat of engineering throughout the ruins the Romans left in Jordan. It was a sad exploration to see a once magnificent city reduced in some areas to rubble; thankfu...

Nothing had prepared me for the shock of my life. The UNESCO ancient Imperial Roman city of Sagalassos, perched majestically on a mountaintop in the Burdur Province of Turkey, is the most beautiful ancient Roman city I've ever seen in Turkey. Visiting Trabzon was the first time I saw few European and American tourists in the city center compared to major cities like Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum, Cappadocia, and Izmir; tourists from western, eastern Europe are more visible in the crowd. In my short stay in Trabzon, I realized from my observations that most tourists in this city come from Arab countries, mainly Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq...
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 TBILISI, GEORGIA: Exploring Downtown Tbilisi from Double-Decker Bus

I finally arrived in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia. Suppose I were to compare Tbilisi with Istanbul and Amman; this city is much quieter and peaceful, with fewer pedestrians and tourists on the streets; and in the old town, it has some aspects of an eerily quiet medieval feel to this part of the city. The biggest surprise is that everyone I talked to in Tbilisi comprehends English. They ...
