I've just figured out why I like your "tours" better than anyone elses. You don't race through, you give us PERSPECTIVE in your shots, a first ! and take us exactly where I want to go at the site and look at exactly what I want to see ! You look over the sides of things to show us what we'd naturally look at were we there, read the signs, go through doors and into places others pass by. You are considerate of your viewer and it's great fun, thanks !!
Merci! Je regarde toutes vos vidéos de ruines romaines, j'aime le fait que vous nous montrez ce que vous voyez, sans commentaire. Le silence de ces lieux de l'antiquité est savoureux...
This site is breathtaking ! More intact than any I've seen, even in Turkey, the street pavers, small detailed reliefs, everywhere on everything, the column crowns, the sheer height and breadth of this place, the theatre !!! gave me an awed humility at what our ancestors accomplished without our technology. Thank you so much.
The Romans were such amazing builders and stone masons and this is a fantastic example of their skills. I would have loved to spend a day in this place at the height of it's glory. The place is still in amazingly good condition. Great video, it's a shame there is no narration.
Thank you for the virtual tour! I hope to one day see Jerash, but I just don't know if I'll have the ability to get there before my time runs out. I'm thankful there are people like you recording these special places for those of us that might never see them in person. It is one of my missions in life to see as many ancient ruins and sites as I can- so far I've done Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum, Ostia, Split, Carnuntum, Vindobona, Vimimacium, Salona, Rome, Saalburg, Mainz, Köln, Koblenz, and Regensburg. Is it difficult for English speakers to visit Jerash?
You are welcome. I don’t think it’s difficult for English speakers to visit Jerash. The signs and descriptions of each historical area are written in English, French and Arabic.
@@yazanalshame3219 Yes, I noticed that in your video, and I think the achaelogical site itself looks very tourist friendly. I guess what I was getting at was whether it is easy for English speaking tourists to travel to Jordan in general? Are there security concerns? Could an American travel there safely alone? Speaking for myself, I do not stand out and I tend to keep a low profile while traveling.
Such a city would create more storm run-off for agricultural fields in the lowlands. Such a city would be a place to escape summer, desert heat. What's wrong with people seeking to destroy 'doing things right'?
What if YOU are back in ancient time and SUDDENLY YOU NEEDED TO POOP ? Where did they take care of that ? Surely not in the street . That wouldn't work .

If I'm not mistaken, the Vatican copied the oval plaza design from Jerash.
Very Cool
Scottish bagpipes, ice cream vendor, and call to Prayer.
Where did ancient people go to the Rest Room ? Where did they visit the Dentist ?
